Chapter 7 About the Wedding Consummation

Xia Lin's face was very calm, as if all his anger had been released at the beginning. Now, no matter what Yu Sui said, he was willing to explain:

"You're the one who stopped me from writing letters. When you were in middle school, I specially sent you a pen, and you wrote me a letter scolding me, saying that your classmates laughed at you for having a girlfriend and asked me not to write to you anymore. When I first saw your handwriting, it looked a bit like yours, and I was really angry, so..."

Xia Lin paused, as if to apologize again for being late this morning, and then said:

"Oh, I saw you writing on the blackboard today. I know it wasn't you. I blamed you wrongly. It's my fault. I don't know who's behind this. I'll try to find out. But it doesn't matter. This person did this just to prevent us from getting married. I don't know why they did this, but if we get married, they won't be able to do anything about it. So, let's get married."

Yu Sui looked up at him blankly.

How come, after just a few words, you're already obsessed with marriage?

The reasons are so sufficient.

Yu Sui was still thinking of a solution, but Sun Yuying made the final decision:

"Yes, get married. There won't be all this mess after you get married! Lin, we're not particular. We'll just do what other families do. Let Xia Dongping be the matchmaker. We can just find a date, set up a few tables, and pay respects to our ancestors."

Yu Sui cried out, "Mom! I'm only sixteen, I'm still a child!"

"Shut up right there, you little kid. You're almost seventeen. When I was seventeen, I was already your sister!" Sun Yuying raised her hand to Yu Sui's head, pretending to slap her.

Xia Lin suddenly stood up and raised her arm to block Yu Sui's head: "Aunt, don't! Xiao Sui is still young, we... just won't consummate the marriage."

Yu Sui blinked and looked at the two hands above her head, speechless for a moment.

Sun Yuying's face twitched and she laughed: "Oh, okay, as long as you can endure it, look how spoiled she is!"

Yu Sui saw it in her arms, and Xia Lin's dark face suddenly turned red: "Ahem, Third Aunt, it's settled. Then I'll go to my cousin's house and discuss the date for the wedding banquet during lunch break."

Then he left.

Escape like a dog.

The three members of the Yu family looked at his back.

Sun Yuying smiled with wrinkles all over her face: "Oh, I said that the eldest son of the Xia family is really good! He doted on Xiaosui since he was a child and obeyed her in everything. Look, he is willing to do it even if the marriage is not consummated. How many men can do that?"

Yu Haichao laughed while smoking a cigarette: "Hehehe!"

Yu Sui was still surprised to see the man's blushing face.

Such a big guy, yet he still blushes?

She couldn't understand it, but she said she was shocked.

It's been years since I've seen a man blush. He looks innocent, right?

Sun Yuying poked her forehead with her finger: "Hey, get ready to get married."

"Mom! It's too early. Let's talk about it later."

Yu Sui herself didn't notice that her voice was not as absolute as it was at the beginning.

Perhaps it was the man's innocence, or perhaps it was the man's words about not consummating the marriage, which made her not as resistant as she was at the beginning.

She understood that it was a marriage of convenience. It was indeed better than having a bad reputation after breaking off the engagement, which would be detrimental to her survival in the 1970s.

Sun Yuying: "Shut up, what are you waiting for if you don't marry such a good man? Don't you see who is better than Xia Lin in this area of 30 miles? He is tall and well-paid. Maybe you can go out with him in the future, and you won't have to be a long-term member. Your life will be easier.

Besides, he has already agreed not to consummate the marriage or touch you until you grow up! This man is very considerate. Don't be ungrateful for what you have. If you do this again, get out of here. I don't know what I did to make you such a fool. You can't tell who is good and who is bad. Wash the dishes!"

Sun Yuying placed a stack of bowls in front of Yu Sui.

Before Yu Sui could stand up, a voice called out from outside: "Uncle Yu, is it time to eat? Is Yu Sui feeling better? I'm here to check on her."

Yu Haichao was sitting facing outside, and people who came in greeted him first.

"Oh, Chen's eldest sister is here. She's feeling better now." Yu Haichao replied and immediately looked at his daughter with helplessness in his eyes.

Sun Yuying looked outside and said in a low voice, "Be good and stop talking nonsense to Chen Lili. Who knows who will get the slip of that note saying you're hanging yourself!"

Chen Lili?

It turned out that it was the best friend who instigated the hanging on Yuan's body.

Yu Sui couldn't help but turn around and look outside.

Chen Lili has a sturdy figure and a round face. She walked towards Yu Sui with a smile on her face, looking innocent.

Sun Yuying left with a stern face without saying hello to Chen Lili.

Chen Lili didn't care. She walked over and sat on a bench with Yu Sui. She looked at Yu Sui affectionately and said, "Are you feeling better? Does it still hurt?"

She kept looking at Yu Sui's neck.

But Yu Sui deliberately wore a shirt with a stand-up collar, so if she didn't pull open the collar, the bruise inside wouldn't be visible.

Yu Suixian remained calm: "I just have a slight cough, it doesn't hurt at all."

Chen Lili looked around, pulled Yu Sui, and went to Yu Sui's room as if she was familiar with the place: "Oh, how is it? I've been worried to death these days. Let me take a look."

As she spoke, she reached out to pull Yu Sui's collar.

Yu Sui pushed him away and said, "What are you looking at? Are you a doctor? Can you cure my cough?"

"You're still pretending to be nice to me. Didn't you hang yourself? Are you strangled anywhere?"

"Who said I hanged myself?"

"You, you're not..." Chen Lili was stunned: "You promised me that you would hang yourself, and then I would... cough cough... that..."

Chen Lili didn't dare to say the following words.

It is really hard to say something like instigating someone to hang themselves.

Yu Sui: "What did you agree on? Oh, you're telling me to hang myself? Do you think I'm a fool? If you tell me to hang myself, I'll hang myself."

"But I can't see you..." Chen Lili's lips trembled and she kept blinking.

Yu Sui's eyes were as cold as ice. "What did you see? You saw me hanging myself? If you put it that way, what I mean is that you saw me hanging and didn't save me. You wanted me to die. So you wanted to kill me?"

Yu Sui has always been full of logic.

It was already a foregone conclusion that Chen Lili wanted to harm the original body, but the only way to stop her from talking nonsense was to trap her and shut her up.

From her words and actions, it can be seen that she really saw Yu Sui hang herself, but now that Yu Sui said this, I don’t think she would dare to say that she saw Yu Sui hang herself again.

Because, watching Yu Sui hang herself without offering any help is more hateful than Yu Sui being the troublemaker who hanged herself.

Besides, Yu Sui has no memory of the original owner at all. She can no longer pretend to be nice to Chen Lili, otherwise she will be exposed sooner or later. She can only break up with her directly, and maybe she can even make up some reasons.

Chen Lili was indeed taken aback and quickly waved her hands: "No, no, no, Yu Sui, you, how can you say that? I didn't, I didn't see anything. I didn't see anything."

Yu Sui spread her hands and said, "Since you didn't see anything, how did you come to the conclusion that I hanged myself?"
