Chapter 24 Where did you throw my clothes?

Jiang He felt that his life had been completely disrupted by Mu Ruanruan. His heart, which used to be as calm as water, was now always in turmoil, moving with her actions.

This little girl plunged into his life with an irresistible momentum, catching him off guard and unable to defend himself.

He didn't want to be on guard anymore.

However, this time, he went a little too far and actually changed the appearance of his home.

Mu Ruanruan thought that Jiang He would have a big reaction when he saw her masterpiece.

He even questioned her why she did those things for him, but she didn't expect Jiang He to react so strongly and come to find her at night.

After Mu Ruanruan finished dinner, the village chief called a meeting of the educated youth to promote and encourage agricultural production.

A document came from above, encouraging rural areas to vigorously develop agricultural production and encouraging everyone to work harder for collective honor.

The village chief asked them to divide the work and cooperate, painting different slogans in various places in the village, and drawing some encouraging portraits, probably saying things like "Labor is the most glorious" and "I am proud of my labor."

The educated youth were all gathered in that small educated youth activity room.

The room was not very spacious and was rather cramped. One had to turn a corner and walk to the middle to see the whole room.

Mu Ruanruan arrived late and sat near the door, holding the promotional paper in her hand and looking at it carefully.

It was the first time she had seen propaganda from this era. She found it interesting and read it so carefully that she didn't notice Jiang He coming in.

Jiang He came to the educated youth dormitory for the first time.

When he came back from work, as soon as he walked in, he felt that it was Mu Ruanruan who had been to his house.

The house has changed a lot. Many old things are gone and replaced with new ones. There are also many foods left, such as grains, oil, rice, and flour.

No one would do this except her.

Is this another compensation for her?

I have already given him money, but it is not enough. Do I need to continue compensating him?

If that's the case, she's really easy to fool. Just for this matter, she's not afraid that the other party will blame her.

He looked everywhere for the old things, but couldn't find them. He even checked the surrounding garbage dumps, but couldn't find the things she had thrown away anywhere.

He didn't want to come, but he had to work early the next day, so all his clothes disappeared and were replaced with a bunch of new ones.

Who would wear new clothes to work? Besides, he didn't need new clothes. He wasn't going far, so his usual clothes were fine.

Qiu Mei said she went to the educated youth activity room, so Jiang He came there and saw her, looking down at documents.

She was so quiet that I couldn't bear to disturb her, but Jiang He was so anxious that he lost all his rationality and blurted out without thinking:

"Ruan Ruan, where did you throw my clothes?"

Jiang He's voice was quiet, urgent but still gentle.

Everyone was reading the documents, and the village chief was waiting for them to finish reading the documents so that he could express his opinions.

The activity room was so quiet that not a sound could be heard. Jiang He's words were like a drop of water dropped into a hot oil pan.

Jiang He didn't expect that there was someone else here!

And there was more than one, almost all the educated youth were here, including the village chief and the clerk.

Qi Juan is the village chief's clerk. She attends meetings with the village chief and records important matters.

After saying this, all eyes were fixed on Mu Ruanruan, who raised her eyes and stared at Jiang He.

All eyes followed Mu Ruanruan's gaze to the corner, watching Jiang He walk out from the corner with an anxious look on his face, and then froze in place.

Jiang He glanced at everyone and finally stared at the village chief.

"Sorry, I, I went to the wrong place." Jiang He said dryly, his face flushed and at a loss.

He has always been calm, composed and self-possessed. In the past twenty years, he has almost never been as flustered as he is today, not even when Jiang Lan had her leg broken, Jiang Xiaotao was targeted and couldn't go to school, or when Li Dazhu and his men smashed his house to pieces on the pretext of catching him cheating.

He was not very flustered and was able to face and handle things calmly.

He would never encounter a moment that would make him lose his mind in his life. He thought his emotions should be like this, calm and peaceful. His life should also be like this, as calm as water.

Live a dull life.

He felt that everything, including his close relationship with the little girl, was just a small accident in life.

It was not until later, when the little girl provoked him again and again, entered his life again and again, and disturbed his mood and rhythm, that he suddenly realized and was surprised to think that his emotional fluctuations had reached their limit.

But I didn’t expect that that was not the limit. Compared with today, those things were nothing.

Countless pairs of eyes were looking at him. He had experienced this before. He had also been criticized. At that time, everyone was looking at him.

But the looks in these people's eyes now were very different from those at that time. Back then, their looks were full of coldness and sarcasm.

And what I see before me are all looks of inquiry and playfulness.

Jiang He felt that his soul was burning, and that little girl even raised her eyebrows at him without thinking it was too much of a big deal.

This subtle action made the whole scene even more boiling, and also made Jiang He's heart boil completely.

He seemed to be stuck with glue, with the soles of his feet stuck to the ground, unable to lift or move.

The village chief had seen a lot of things, and his expression and tone were calm: "You're looking for Mu Ruanruan. You're not wrong. She's also having a meeting here."

The village chief looked at Mu Ruanruan again and motioned her to go out and solve the problem.

Under the heated gazes of the crowd, Mu Ruanruan stood up slightly awkwardly and walked towards Jiang He. A commotion began behind her, with a strong atmosphere of gossip.
