Chapter 38 What do you mean?

When Mu Ruanruan left, Sun Lili already had a smile on her face.

Dai Xiaohu was still sitting there slumped, holding a cigarette in his left hand and picking up food for Sun Lili with his right hand.

Sun Lili lowered her head while eating, looking at the man opposite her from time to time with a happy face.

But Mu Ruanruan clearly saw the impatience on Dai Xiaohu's face when Sun Lili lowered her head.

Mu Ruanruan bought five more fried dough cakes, packed them separately, and stopped shopping.

She kept her eyes on the crowd and didn't see Jiang He again. Maybe she was mistaken.

Chen Lai’s bicycle was not easy to ride. The chain looked like it had not been oiled for several years and it was very difficult to ride.

Mu Ruanruan pushed her bicycle to a repair shop and asked the mechanic to help her add some oil.

The master dipped the brush in some water and brushed her skin without charging her any money.

Not long after, Mu Ruanruan understood why Chen Lai didn't maintain his bicycle.

The road back to the village is a dirt road. When the weather is good, the dirt flies and soon the bicycle chain is covered with dust.

Mu Ruanruan had no experience and didn't know whether what she was doing was right or not.

Just as she was thinking about this and wondering whether she should tell Chen about it, a figure appeared in front of her.

River brown.

He was carrying a bag of something and some baskets.

That basket was the kind that Mu Ruanruan wanted to buy just now. It could be used to store vegetables or herbs.

Almost every household has something similar, but the one woven by Jiang Lan is more exquisite.

He was tall and slender from behind, and his hair seemed to have been trimmed, shorter than the last time I saw him.

Is he going to do business?

Why don’t you continue selling? You went back just after noon.

"Jiang He."

Hearing Mu Ruanruan's voice, Jiang He paused and turned around.

But he didn't stop and kept going.

Mu Ruanruan originally wanted to ride faster to catch up with him, but her riding skills were not good enough. She stepped on the pedal too hard and actually slipped.

These directions cannot be controlled, and the bicycle is like an uncontrollable loach, running in any direction.

“Ah~”

The bicycle hit the slope on the side and fell down.

Mu Ruanruan also fell down, with one leg still pressed under the bicycle.

The next moment, someone ran over and helped her pick up the bicycle.

Mu Ruanruan's knee hit a rock and was crushed by the bicycle, causing her entire leg to hurt badly.

She felt extremely ashamed and sobbed, covering her face with her wrists.

"If you can't ride, don't try to be stubborn." Jiang He said as he helped her up, a little angrily.

But Mu Ruanruan felt wronged. She had even fallen down, but not only did he not comfort her, he also spoke to her so harshly and his actions when he pulled her were very rude.

I thought that after being together for so long, the two of us had become friends, but I didn't expect that the other party was still like a stone in the toilet, smelly and hard, with no sign of loosening.

In the past, she was the one who was pampered, so she would never condescend to please others. Now she has put so much effort into it, but to no avail. It is impossible to say that she has no emotions or temper.

I felt wronged and my legs hurt more and more, so I just sat on the ground and started crying.

Jiang He was really not expecting her to cry. He stood there in a daze for a moment. He stretched out his hand, but it was not right to pull her, nor was it right not to pull her.

"Does it hurt?" he asked.

Mu Ruanruan ignored him and continued crying.

"Let me help you to the side first. This is a main road and it's dusty."

"You feel ashamed," she hummed angrily.

"Ah, yes, a little."

Mu Ruanruan cried even louder, as if she was trying to attract people over.

"Stop talking, little ancestor. If I did something wrong, can I apologize?" Jiang He's voice was finally no longer cold, and it was filled with some sincere pleading.

Mu Ruanruan was actually afraid of being seen and embarrassed, so she said, "Help me up."

After sitting for so long, her legs were numb. Jiang He helped her to curl up her legs, massaged them a few times, and then helped her stand up.

She wasn't seriously injured, just a few scrapes.

There was no disinfectant available at the time, so I could only limp back first.

He leaned over and blew the dust off her pants, then took a quick look at the wound: "Go find a doctor and get some medicine."

There was no doctor in the village, so she had to go back to town to get medicine. Mu Ruanruan really didn't want to go through the trouble, so she said she had bought medicine at home and would go back and get it later.

He didn't object, as it was just a skin break and no bones were broken.

Since she couldn't walk for the time being, he supported her and sat her on a rock, then turned back to pick up the things she had dropped.

A military green crossbody bag, bulging but not heavy, containing a bag of fried cakes, a bag of fruits, and a plastic bag filled with something hot.

He put all these things away and placed them next to Mu Ruanruan.

He pushed the bicycle over, parked it, and hung the small bags on the handlebars one by one.

"Rest for a while. When you can walk again, tell me and I'll help you back. Or you can sit here for a while while I go back to the village to find a bullock cart."

Mu Ruanruan shook her head: "I'll just rest for a while."

It's not like your leg is broken, there's no need to make such a fuss.

"Um."

Gurgle~

Jiang He's stomach growled.

"There's noodles over there, go have some. I haven't touched them, so I asked the boss to pack them up."

"No, I'm not hungry."

Jiang He refused flatly.

Mu Ruanruan didn't say anything else.

But soon, there was another gurgling sound, followed by several more in succession.

Jiang He himself began to feel embarrassed.

Mu Ruanruan suggested that he eat noodles or a fried pancake, but Jiang He still subconsciously refused.
