Chapter 8 Cleaning the New Home

When Su Qing returned to his residence, the girls were still making a fuss.

After thanking the women who helped move the cabinets, Su Qing hurriedly put Si Ya on the bed.

She felt that if she held the baby any longer her hands would become crippled. Being a mother was really not easy.

Sanya laughed out loud when she saw this scene, "Mom, is Siya's hand hot?"

"Ah?" Su Qing was stunned for a moment, not understanding what San Ya meant.

Sanya's dedicated translator, Erya, comes online: "Mom, the way you put Siya is like she was burned by a steamed bun yesterday."

Su Qing was left in a state of confusion by the two children's words.

"Mom, I saved this for you." Su Qing didn't expect that there were only two loaves of bread yesterday, but Daya still kept one until today, and she saved it specially for him.

Su Qing suddenly felt that having a few little friends like these was not a bad idea.

"Mom, I have more." Su Qing took out three more loaves of bread like magic.

As usual, each person was poured a bowl of milk.

"Mom wants to tell you something. We are moving to a big house at the end of the village." Three pairs of eyes stared at Su Qing.

"Mom, are we moving to the haunted house?" Erya asked, tilting her little head.

"That's not a haunted house, it's our new home."

"But He Xi and the others said that it was a haunted house, and that if I didn't help them with the work, they would throw me into the haunted house."

After hearing this, Su Qing became furious.

"Don't listen to their nonsense. There are no ghosts in this world. The ghosts are in people's hearts. If they bully you again in the future, tell mother and she will help you beat them back."

San Ya punched and kicked the air, muttering, "Mom, hit He Xi! He pinched me."

"Don't worry, mother will avenge you. If you meet those children from the He family in the future, just run away if you can't beat them. A gentleman's revenge is never too late, not to mention that mother will help you get revenge quickly."

"Okay." Several people said in unison.

Daya feels that her mother is very different now. She is not like before who only focuses on work and asks them to be patient.

She likes her current mother very much, so she would be happy even if her mother asked her to live with a ghost.

The mother and daughter were talking and laughing.

Perhaps Si Ya also wanted to fit in with the group, so she kept humming.

Su Qing teased Si Ya for a while and said, "When mom is full, make rice porridge for us Si Ya." Then she continued to eat bread.

The little girl refused to give in and started crying.

Su Qing was just about to comfort her, but the next second the little girl's face turned red, and she let out a loud and smelly fart, followed by a plop and pooping on the mat under her.

Su Qing didn't know whether to swallow the bread in his mouth.

Okay, she took back her words about having a sweet little girl.

What sin did I commit to have to let a single guy who has been single for 28 years take care of my child!

The children were already used to it and were skilled at bringing water and diapers.

"Daya, don't use those diapers. Si Ya got a rash after using them. Use these." Su Qing took a batch directly from the Space Town.

Daya was very confused. She was the one who packed her mother's things, so why hadn't she seen this cloth before?

But she knew her mother would not harm them, so she just used it.

For lunch, Su Qing simply cooked some noodles.

She was inconsiderate last night. She didn't realize that the children usually ate one meal and skipped another. Giving them too much at once caused stomach discomfort.

As usual, Si Ya could only drink rice soup.

Su Qing also tried to feed Si Ya herself.

But the original owner's body was so weak that she had no milk to drink.

Moreover, the baby sucked milk very hard, and she cried in pain after trying it once.

It seems that I still need to find time to go to the black market.

After eating, he let the children stay at home while he went to clean up the new house.

Holding the freshly-made key, Su Qing came to his new home.

After opening the gate, Su Qing discovered that the house was much bigger than he had imagined.

There are three main rooms (the middle one is the living room, and the east and west rooms are bedrooms), and three side rooms on each side.

The floor of the front yard was smoothed with gravel mixed with mud.

The side room on the east side of the main house is the kitchen, and on the west side is the path to the backyard.

The dry toilet is in the backyard, where there is a well, a vegetable patch, and a small door leading to the foot of the mountain.

The house that the author imagines is this layout

From the outside, Su Qing thought it was just a mud house.

When I went inside, I found that the house was built with stones from the foundation to the windows, and the rest was built with adobe.

It's much better than a simple adobe house.

It seems that the owner of the house is also quite low-key.

Su Qing walked around and found a few simple pieces of furniture in the room.

There is a bed in each of the east and west rooms, as well as a wardrobe, an octagonal table for dining, and several stools.

Furniture should be made of good materials, and it has only accumulated a layer of dust after being stored for so long.

Su Qing first cleaned out the dead branches and leaves in the well.

After getting some water, I cleaned the east room, the living room and the kitchen first, and I’ll clean the rest when I have time.

Su Qing is now somewhat grateful for the deeds of the previous owner of the house, otherwise the house and the things in it would never have been preserved so well.

She had heard how people overthrew the landlords, looted all their belongings, and even took away the bricks of their houses.

Su Qing was extremely excited at the thought that he was about to own his first house in this world.

At first, he said he would clean up the living place first, but before he knew it, the whole house was cleaned up by Su Qing, even the grass in the backyard was pulled out.
