Chapter 110 Hundred Flowers Pavilion

Finally, after Su Muyao's persistent pleading, Old Man Su nodded in agreement.

Su Laosan returned to his room and rummaged through his belongings until he finally found his favorite outfit at the very bottom of the drawer.

At this moment, the carriage arrived at the door of Old Su's house. Su Muyao got on and looked around the carriage.

A large, chestnut-colored horse was pulling the carriage, and the entire carriage looked very impressive.

Upon entering the carriage, one discovers a hidden gem: a large soft couch on the right and narrow benches on either side.

There was a wooden table in the middle, which was covered with snacks.

The carriage sped along and soon arrived in Liuzhou.

Looking at the bustling scene of Liuzhou, Su Laosan hugged Su Muyao tighter.

Yingyi led the group to a nearby inn, and as soon as they entered, they saw a middle-aged woman walking gracefully towards them.

If she were a little thinner, the scene might be quite pleasing to the eye.

Unfortunately, she was already middle-aged, and her broad shoulders and thick waist, combined with her swaying gait, completely lacked any sense of beauty.

The woman looked the group up and down, arms crossed. "Are you here for a stay or just looking for a bite?"

"Please help look after the carriages outside when we check into the inn."

Upon hearing this, the woman immediately beamed with joy, "Alright, sir, this way please."

We booked three guest rooms and put the prepared changes of clothes in the rooms.

The group strolled along the street, and from afar Su Muyao spotted the Qianlixiang Wonton Stall with a sign that read "Fragrant Wonton".

"Boss, five bowls of wontons."

The wonton stall was run by an old woman. The group quickly finished eating and left. Yingyi took out one or two taels of silver.

As the group strolled around the city, Su Muyao spotted a quaint four-story building.

The signboard reads "Baihua Lou" (Hundred Flowers Pavilion). Based on what I've read in novels, this is probably a brothel. I really want to go inside and see for myself.

Long Yuan looked at the little dumpling, who was staring intently at the brothel, and patted her head. "What, you want to go and take a look? Haha."

"Let's go in and take a look. Let Yingyi and the others be our guests, and we'll just follow them quietly."

Yingyi's lips twitched as he stood to the side. He thought to himself, "He's a respectable and handsome man. How could he possibly be here seeking pleasure?"

If my former colleagues find out, do I still have any shame?

Long Yuan was quite surprised that this little dumpling actually knew that this was a brothel.

Su Laosan was carrying his things and was about to return to the inn when Su Muyao called out to her father.

"Dad, you and Uncle Wang take the things back first, we'll wander around for a bit longer and then come right back."

Su Laosan nodded in agreement without much thought. Only after they were halfway there did he belatedly realize that he had left his little girl alone. What if she got lost?

Thinking of this, I quickened my pace to go back, wanting to put the things back quickly before coming back to find them.

Meanwhile, Su Muyao had already followed Yingyi to the entrance of the Hundred Flowers Pavilion.

Just as he was about to enter the Hundred Flowers Pavilion, he was stopped by a woman at the entrance.

"Oh, little girl, you're quite bold for your age. You're doing this all by yourself. You look pretty good. How about 30 taels of silver?"

Su Muyao was completely confused by what the woman in front of her was saying. What was this 30 taels of silver?

The woman noticed that the little girl tilted her head and stared blankly at her.

"What, you think it's not enough?" The woman suddenly perked up. "Little girl, although you look alright, you're obviously from the countryside and don't know anything."

"I'll train you after you come in, and that's all real money involved. Do you think I'm doing business without any investment?"

The onlookers started chattering amongst themselves, saying, "That's quite a price."

Long Yuan stood aside, amused, watching the little dumpling being asked questions that left him bewildered.

Su Laosan finally arrived and picked up his little girl.

There are just too many people here; it would be bad if someone tried to snatch the child.

Su Laosan looked at the woman, bombarded his daughter with questions, and scratched his head, "Excuse me, what does this building sell?"

The women and waiters nearby were stunned. "The Hundred Flowers Pavilion? You're not here to sell girls?"

Upon hearing this, Su Laosan immediately hugged the baby in his arms even tighter, and his anger flared up instantly.

"I told you that you were rambling on and on to my daughter, and she couldn't understand a word you were saying."

"What do you mean by selling girls? We may be poor, but we're not the kind of family that sells its children."

The woman's face immediately changed. "Don't you even know where we are? What kind of place is our Hundred Flowers Pavilion? Young girls running around here in broad daylight, what else could they be doing but selling themselves?"

Long Yuan's wicked sense of humor had already been revealed when Su Laosan arrived; he had given Ying Yi a knowing look.

He had originally wanted to see how the little dumpling would handle such a big scene, but things changed when Su Laosan arrived.

It would be bad if people thought he had kidnapped and sold his daughter.

Yingyi stepped forward and handed over a silver ingot. "Mom, you've misunderstood. The children in the family were just curious, that's why they came over here. Don't take it to heart."

The woman's anger subsided as she held the large ingot of silver in her hand. "It's not open yet. If you want to have some fun, young master, please come in the evening."

After saying that, he and his men went back into the building.

Only after stepping out of the alley did Su Laosan realize, "What exactly is this Hundred Flowers Pavilion? Could it be the place I'm thinking of?"

Yingyi, standing nearby, covered her mouth and chuckled, "It really is that place."

Su Muyao, who was listening to them vaguely mentioning that place, interjected, "Judging from the name, Hundred Flowers Pavilion must mean a place where a hundred flowers bloom and there are many women. Naturally, a lot of women would attract men."

"Why are you being so vague? It's just a brothel."

After saying that, he chuckled.

Hearing his youngest daughter's rapid-fire words, Su Laosan immediately roared, "Su Muyao! What nonsense are you spouting?"

Seeing her father's face darken, Su Muyao snuggled closer to him.

"Hehe, Dad, I was just kidding, don't be angry."

Su Laosan was truly angered by what his daughter said. Was this something a little girl should say?

I've heard of brothels in the village, but I've never actually seen one.

Long Yuan didn't believe that the little dumpling was just curious and came to take a look; he must have some purpose.

Su Muyao really wanted to go to a brothel to take a look. After reading so many novels, she knew that brothels had the most business opportunities.

Whether it's rehearsing programs for them or making various tulle skirts.

These were all the things she could think of so far. By the way, what kills the thirst fastest in a brothel? Alcohol, of course.

After returning home, I told my father that I planned to sell some of the wine my master had brewed.

Su Laosan naturally knew what she meant by the wine brewed by her master.

"Sweetie, won't people gossip about us doing business with them?"

"What are you saying, Dad? We're doing legitimate business, why are people gossiping?"

Moreover, there's a saying that goes, "A person with a straight back has nothing to fear."

In the evening, the group went out to the street, bought some food to eat, and on their way back, they passed by the entrance of Baihualou and saw that it was packed with people.

At the entrance, women were striking seductive poses and soliciting customers, while on the second and third floors, girls of all kinds were calling out from upstairs with handkerchiefs.
