Chapter 279 Wedding Candy?

Jian Ning thought about it and agreed. When they found a secluded spot, she would fly with him on her sword, and the speed would be no slower than an airplane.

Moreover, Xiao Lingfeng could take a break. It's a pity that flying a plane isn't easy to learn, otherwise the two of them could take turns, so that one of them wouldn't be exhausted.

So he went out with Xiao Lingfeng, found the bearded man, said goodbye to him, and said he was going back now.

The bearded man was delighted to hear this, wishing them a safe journey and a swift return. He then called his men over and loaded their helicopter with over ten boxes of vodka and various other supplies.

It was mostly food, because Xiao Lingfeng had told me that his hometown was plagued by floods.

There was no food to eat. But they certainly didn't lack that. The supplies covered by the snow wouldn't spoil for another three to five years. They had a long shelf life.

Watching the helicopter take off from the rooftop and fly far away until it was out of sight, they reluctantly returned. This time, Xiao Lingfeng had taken away their hopes.

We're hoping they can bring back the gene serum soon to improve their physical condition. If they all have superpowers, then we won't have to fear any danger.

At least we don't have to live underground all day, afraid to come out. We can withstand the harsh cold outside. We can also go to other research bases to see if there are any survivors.

The helicopter flew back much faster because it didn't need to disembark to collect supplies. Once it found the right route, Xiao Lingfeng didn't stop for a moment and flew for more than ten hours to reach the airspace above the base.

Jian Ning actually felt sorry for him; he didn't need to work so hard at all. It wouldn't have mattered if he went back a day later, but he wouldn't listen to anything she said. The helicopter landed directly at the entrance of the base.

Upon seeing the helicopter approaching, the soldiers on guard quickly picked up their walkie-talkies and notified their superiors. As soon as Xiao Lingfeng and Jian Ning stepped off the helicopter, they saw several familiar faces.

"Xiao Lingfeng! I wondered who it was that made such a commotion. What, do you now use helicopters to get home?"

"Isn't it because I was in a hurry to come back, Wang Wen? Are you on duty today?" Xiao Lingfeng smiled and extended his hand to shake hands with him.

"What's the matter that's so urgent? Does the commander have a new mission?" Wang Wen asked, holding his hand.

"No, it's because I'm getting married soon. Come to the wedding!" Xiao Lingfeng said with a beaming smile.

"Congratulations! We'll definitely be there. Has the date been set?" Wang Wen was also very happy to hear that.

"Not yet, we're back to prepare. The helicopter will stop here for a bit."

"I'll go home and talk to you for a bit, then I'll leave right away. Will that be a problem?" Xiao Lingfeng asked this just out of politeness, since there's practically no transportation available right now. It wouldn't be a problem at all.

"It's okay, you go ahead and get busy. If you need any help from the brothers, just let us know."

So Xiao Lingfeng and Jian Ning hurried home. They arrived just in time for lunch. Before they even reached their doorstep, Bawang started barking excitedly in the yard and pounced on the door.

Jian Anping came out and called it twice, but the dog didn't listen. It just wagged its tail excitedly and kept whimpering.

"Sister Ning is back." Huang Fugui also came out of the house, holding a chicken leg in his hand. He was eating it with his mouth full of oil.

How did you know?

Jian Anping glanced down at him. All this kid does is eat and play, and he's so secretive. She wondered why Xiao Ning had picked him up and was raising him.

"I just know." Huang Fugui rolled its eyes at him. He was just a big, dumb guy. If he weren't its master's brother, it wouldn't want to talk to him.

Just then, the doorbell rang. Jian Anping strode over and saw that Jian Ning and Xiao Lingfeng were indeed standing outside the door.

He frowned and asked, "Xiao Ning, didn't you say you'd be back in ten days to get married? Why are you so late? I'm getting really anxious. If you don't come back soon, I'm even planning to go back to find you."

"Brother, I didn't do it on purpose. Something went wrong and I lost track of time."

"Xiao Lingfeng and I went abroad. If we hadn't been afraid you'd worry, we wouldn't be back now." Jian Ning said, taking Xiao Lingfeng's hand and walking into the courtyard.

"What are you going abroad for? Is it the same as our country now? Wait, how did you get there? Are there still planes that go abroad?"

Jian Anping closed the door, not even bothering to complain about her not returning on time. She followed behind her and asked...

"We went there by helicopter. Xiao Lingfeng said he was going to get some supplies for the wedding."

"The disaster over there was different from ours; their supplies were preserved quite well. It just caused a little delay," Jian Ning explained to him.

"You two are really making a fuss. It's just a wedding, and you have to go abroad to get wedding supplies. You really don't know how much trouble you can cause. After you get married, can you just settle down? You're both adults, and you still don't give me any peace of mind."

Jian Anping really couldn't do anything with his sister; how could she be so capricious?

She can't stay in China anymore; she runs abroad at the drop of a hat.

This isn't peacetime; monsters are everywhere. What if there are even more powerful ones overseas?

She doesn't consider her own safety at all, and Xiao Lingfeng is the same. Not only does he not keep an eye on her, but he also joins in the fun. It's really worrying.

After entering the house and exchanging greetings, Jian Ning didn't eat there but went back to Xiao Lingfeng's house with him.

Aunt Wang was playing checkers with Tian Tian in the living room when she heard the door open. She thought it was Huang Fugui coming over.

The child runs back and forth every day, going back for lunch on time, refusing to stay here no matter what. Grandma Wang couldn't keep him, so she let him be.

To her surprise, when she turned around, she saw her tall and handsome youngest son. For a moment, she thought she was seeing things, so she raised her hand and rubbed her eyes vigorously.

"Mom, it's me. How have you been these days?" Xiao Lingfeng walked over and put his arm around her shoulder, asking.

"Ling Feng, it really is you! I thought I was hallucinating."

Aunt Wang was so happy that tears streamed down her face. She had been quite worried these past few days.

I'm worried something might happen to him, because when Jian Ning left, she said she'd be back in ten days.

More than twenty days have passed, and there's still no sign of the two of them. As their mother, she's really losing her appetite and can't sleep.

"Mom, why are you crying? Sweetie, look, I brought you some delicious treats," Xiao Lingfeng comforted his mother first, then took out a large bag of chocolates from his pocket and handed it to her.

"Thank you, Uncle, Sister Ning. When are you getting married? Is this wedding candy?" Tian Tian asked, tilting her head as she took the candy.

"Yes, it's wedding candy. Have some more." Xiao Lingfeng patted Tian Tian's head with his big hand. He couldn't hide the joy on his face.
