When Jian Ning found Wu Gang, he was busy working in the field. This kid was quite perceptive; he knew he couldn't be too arrogant when he first arrived in a new place.
Even a dragon has to coil up first. He is physically fit, strong, and hardworking. In just one morning, he has already made friends with many people, calling them brothers in a very affectionate manner.
Especially this squad leader here named Zhou Qi, who keeps calling him "Brother Zhou" all the time. Even though he's several years older than Zhou Qi, he can still put on airs, which takes some skill.

Wu Gang hesitated for a moment, but still walked over. With so many people watching, he still had to save face.
"Do you want me to talk to you here, or would you like to go somewhere else?"
Jian Ning gestured with her chin towards the back of a building, a secluded spot. She couldn't very well start a fight in front of so many people.
"Let's go. What are you afraid of?" Wu Gang glanced at Jian Ning, who was skinny and weak, and didn't seem to have much fighting power.
She probably only saw the slap mark on Liu Yan's face and came over to help find an explanation. She's really overestimating herself, thinking she's some kind of savior. Today, he'll see what this girl is up to.
He turned around and greeted Zhou Qi, then followed Jian Ning to the back of a house not far away.
The houses here are all made of adobe. Although they are not tall, they are enough to conceal the two people's figures.

Wu Gang was truly terrified of Jian Ning's beating. Right now, every part of his body ached, and he felt as if his bones had been broken.

Jian Ninghai kindly reminded him.
"Yes, I swear, I will never lay a finger on Liu Yan again. If I break this vow, may I be struck by lightning and die a horrible death."
Upon hearing Jian Ning's words, Wu Gang quickly knelt down and swore an oath, fearing that if he hesitated even a moment longer, Jian Ning would go back on her word.

No sooner had the oath been made than a muffled sound came from the sky. Wu Gang looked up in shock at the sky, which was cloudless and did not look like it was going to rain. Could it be that the heavens had taken his words seriously?

"When you go out later, if someone asks you what happened, what will you say?" Jian Ning asked, staring at him.
"I'll just say I fell down, that I rolled off the roof." Wu Gang looked around; there wasn't a ditch or anything, just houses, so he could only come up with this excuse.
"You're a grown man, what are you doing climbing on the roof for no reason? You're really bored!" Jian Ning said, glaring at him before turning and walking away.
Wu Gang finally breathed a sigh of relief. He swallowed back his tears; this life was truly unbearable.
She was beaten but dared not let anyone know. There was such a domineering woman in the base; I don't know how her man could put up with her.
She has such a beautiful face, but she's actually a femme fatale.
Only after watching Jian Ning walk away did he reluctantly walk back, groaning with each step.
"Wu Gang, what's wrong with you?" Zhou Qi noticed from a distance that Wu Gang's walking posture was not right and ran over from a distance.
"I accidentally fell, and it seems pretty serious." Wu Gang was too embarrassed to say that he fell from the roof; he only said that to appease Jian Ning.
