Where is Chapter 341?

Huang Fugui didn't exert any effort at all; he caught two big fish, three wild rabbits, and two pheasants from the river.

These animals had never seen what a human looked like. Seeing Huang Fugui, they didn't run away, but instead went closer to him, making them easy prey.

The two of them set up a campfire outside and roasted some wild game.

Jian Ning and Xiao Lingfeng have already entered the cave.

Just as Xiao Lingfeng had predicted, the caves here were indeed hollow, containing not only karst caves but also numerous lakes of varying sizes. Under the powerful flashlight beam, they shimmered with light.

"Where is the ferret? Should I go out and bring the baby ferret in so it can lead us to find it?"

Jian Ning looked around. The cave was long and narrow with many branches. Such a small ferret could easily hide in any nook or cranny and it would be hard to find.

"Okay, I'll wait for you here."

Xiao Lingfeng also thought Jian Ning's idea was right. Although they could probably find the ferret's den by searching slowly, they should still try to hurry.

He can't stay here forever; there's a ton of stuff waiting for him at the base.

Jian Ning flashed out of the cave and immediately smelled the aroma of roasted meat.

"Alright, you two little rascals. Xiao Lingfeng and I are doing all the work inside, but you're getting to eat. Save me a fish, and a rabbit too."

Jian Ning flew over on her sword and looked at the golden-brown fish, realizing she was getting hungry too.

"Here, I grilled so many. I didn't plan to eat them all by myself. Master, have you found the ferret?" Huang Fugui asked Jian Ning, handing her a grilled fish.

"It should be inside the cave, but I haven't found it yet. We need it to lead the way. Let's eat something first, and then go in. It won't make a difference if we wait a little longer." Jian Ning said, and went back into the cave to pull Xiao Lingfeng out.

He took two bottles of beer and various seasonings from his storage space. He sprinkled them on the almost-roasted rabbit and pheasant, making the roasted meat even more fragrant.

The little ferret, smelling the aroma, unconsciously stuck out its tongue and licked its lips.

It smells so good! These humans are really capable. If I could stay with them, I'd be so lucky to have so much delicious food every day.

Xiao Lingfeng also sat down on the ground, eating grilled fish and drinking beer. The anxiety of the past two days disappeared all at once.

With Jian Ning by his side, all problems could be perfectly solved. He felt that he had regressed compared to before, becoming too dependent.

Although he was trying to change, sometimes things were beyond his control. Like now, the little ferret was nestled in Jian Ning's arms after eating its fill, looking very content.

But he couldn't even hug her; it seemed to have its sights set on Jian Ning alone. Even when Xiao Lingfeng tried to pull her away from Jian Ning, it had to hold onto her arm tightly with its paws.

It was as if Jian Ning would disappear the moment she let go.

"This little guy, before you came, he acted all friendly with me, but now he's immediately switched targets. He's a bit too pragmatic." Xiao Lingfeng drank some beer, his mood becoming even more cheerful.

This place is like a paradise, with beautiful scenery, a pleasant environment, and everything is pristine. If he could, he wouldn't want to go back.

“Even small animals know who treats them well. Let’s go, after we’ve eaten and drunk our fill, we’ll go find your people.” Jian Ning stood up and hugged the little ferret.

Xiao Lingfeng extinguished the fire. Without Jian Ning saying a word, Huang Fugui leaped onto Xiao Lingfeng's back in a flash.

Two chubby little arms wrapped around Xiao Lingfeng's neck, making it very clear that it didn't want to return to the Immortal Abode and wanted to go with him.

Xiao Lingfeng didn't refuse. He flew back to where they had first entered the cave, using his sword to follow Jian Ning. They then entered the mountain from the weakest point.

As soon as they returned to the cave, the little ferret jumped off Jian Ning's back, whimpering excitedly.

It gestured with its paws a couple of times, then took off running. As it ran, it kept looking back, signaling to the others to follow.

After winding its way through the cave, sometimes uphill, sometimes downhill, for quite a while, the little ferret finally stopped and happily pointed ahead with its paw. Then it lay down and waited.

"Is this the place?" Jian Ning walked over to take a look, but there was no path here.

The stalactites that rolled down from mid-air completely blocked the area.

The little ferret probably came back once, but it couldn't move these big rocks at all.

That's probably why they thought of going out to seek help. They were smart enough to find Xiao Lingfeng; otherwise, even if it were someone else, they probably wouldn't have been able to find this place.

These stones posed no challenge for the two of them at all; Xiao Lingfeng simply waved his hand a couple of times and it was done.

Once the stalactite was moved aside, a small hole was revealed inside. It didn't look very big, only slightly larger than a mouse hole.

Jian Ning couldn't possibly fit through such a small opening, but she was worried that the ferrets inside might have run out of food and something might happen to them. It was hard to say.

After thinking for a moment, I took out a roast chicken from the storage bag, tied it with a rope, and had the little ferret carry it on its back.

"Go in and take a look. If your people are hungry, they can eat this to tide them over."

The little ferret waited motionless for Jian Ning to tie up the roast chicken, then turned around and nodded at Jian Ning before darting into its hole.

The others waited outside, and after a good half hour, the little ferret finally emerged from its burrow. This time, it wasn't alone; it was followed by two pure white ferrets with slightly purple eyes and incredibly smooth fur.

His face was full of gratitude.

Yes, it was gratitude. Jian Ning didn't know how she could see such an anthropomorphic look on the animal's face.

Huang Fugui took the initiative to come over and communicate with the two large ferrets for a while, and then spoke to Jian Ning.

"Several of their tribesmen are injured and want to ask if you have any medicine to heal them, and they have run out of food."

If we had arrived two days later, we probably would have all starved to death. Thankfully, there was still water in the cave, and we've run out of our stored food. That's why I wanted to trade some jade for some food."

"Alright, agree to their request. Fugui, you can go in with them." Jian Ning took out a storage bag containing a lot of food, and then gave them a few healing pills.

"After you get there, just dissolve yourself in the water and let the ferret drink it. Be careful."

"Understood," Huang Fugui transformed back into his original form, picked up the storage bag, meowed at the ferrets, and ran into the cave with them.

This time, the little ferret didn't follow. Instead, it jumped onto Jian Ning's shoulder and rubbed its snow-white head against her cheek a few times.
