Chapter 69 Piles of fish kept jumping into people's arms

Tiger nodded obediently, obeying his godmother's every command.

Niu Niu and Da Wa finished their homework quickly. After Hu Zi copied the last word, he collapsed onto the table, exhausted. "Studying is so hard! Studying is so tiring!"

"Tiger, let's go out and have some fun."

With Chen Yunyun's tacit approval, Niu Niu shared some of the snacks her mother had made with Hu Zi, and the three children went out to play together.

The room suddenly became quiet, and Chen Yunyun was still a little unaccustomed to it.

A moment later, a noise came from the inner room; it was Sanwa who had woken up.

Chen Yunyun went in and dressed him, then carried him out. "Look how smart your older brother and sister are. You should grow up quickly too, so you don't wet the bed and drool all the time, okay?"

Sanwa can already understand simple words and sentences, but Chen Yunyun spoke such a long string of words, and he tilted his head, so he probably didn't understand.

He reached out and touched Chen Yunyun's loose hair, calling out in a childish voice, "Mother~"

"Damn it! No more acting cute!"

Tiger took Da Wa and Niu Niu to the river. The temperature was higher than before the Lunar New Year, and the river was thawing, making it the perfect time to catch fish.

When they arrived at the riverbank, there were already three children there.

One of the little girls, only four or five years old, was exquisitely beautiful with fair skin and was especially adorable.

Two children stood beside the little girl. They looked older than her, but were thin and dark-skinned, creating a stark contrast with the little girl.

Tiger glanced at them and realized they were unfamiliar children, so he found a spot some distance away from them.

Niu Niu and Da Wa both know how to weave straw ropes and straw nets. They found some sturdy and tough wild grasses by the river and taught Hu Zi how to weave them.

Seeing that they had finished weaving the straw net, the three children next to them slowly approached and struck up a conversation with Niu Niu, who seemed to be the easiest to get along with among the three.

What are you doing?

"Catching fish!"

"Catching fish?"

The older child who had asked the question swallowed hard, then turned to ask, "Fu Bao, do you want to eat fish?"

Fu Bao tilted her head, looking like she was thinking.

The older child continued, "Grandma likes to eat fish, and my second aunt likes to eat fish too. Everyone will be happy if there is fish."

Hearing that everyone would be happy, Fu Bao's eyes lit up, "Okay, I want fish too!"

Seeing that they were empty-handed, Tiger thought he should show off his older brother status in front of Da Wa and Niu Niu, so he kindly gave the strangers a few pointers.

"You guys start by weaving the net, just like we are, don't go into the river."

"The river water is cold, be careful not to fall in."

One of the three unfamiliar children, a thin girl, retorted, "It's none of your business! Go away, don't steal our fish!"

Tiger is the boss of Xu Family Village!

They actually contradicted him in front of his younger siblings. Doesn't he have any pride?

Hiss—Tiger's temper is really unbearable.

Just as I was about to go up and "reason with them," a hand pressed down on my shoulder. I turned around and saw it was Da Wa.

"My mother said not to cause trouble."

How could this be considered causing trouble? He kindly reminded them that those outsiders were clearly being inconsiderate.

Niu Niu also came over, "Brother Hu, let's go a little further away."

Niu Niu stuffed the dried sweet potato into Hu Zi's palm, "Let's go eat snacks over there, there seem to be more fish over there."

Since his younger siblings had already spoken, Tiger didn't step forward. He snorted loudly and walked away with his eldest daughter, Niu Niu.

Casting a net and waiting for the fish to come in is a long process.

Tiger just hauled in his net, but it was full of mud, no fish...

Just as I was about to put the net back, I heard an exclamation from the side, "Wow! So many fish! Fu Bao! You're amazing!"

The children looked up and saw that not far away, they were standing by the water, and fish were leaping out of the water and jumping into the arms of a little girl.

Tiger had never seen such a spectacular scene before, and he was almost speechless with astonishment.

How could that be?

Fish jumping into someone's arms on their own? That's impossible!
