Chapter 224 Buying a House

Jiang Baige had never mentioned the matter of buying a house to the Jiang family, so Jiang's father and mother were still confused.

Jiang's mother asked in confusion: "Bai Ge, what happened? Why didn't you tell us?"

Jiang Baige said, "There's no news. Why would I tell you? It would only cause you trouble. I'm the only one who knows."

"Mom, I'm going out for a while and will be back soon."

Jiang's mother asked, "Who is this person? We don't know whether he is good or bad. What should we do if something happens?"

She was a little worried. It was not a big deal for a grown-up girl like her to go out with a man.

Jiang Baige said, "Hey, it's broad daylight, what could go wrong?"

Father Jiang heard what the mother and daughter were saying at the door and said to the girl, "Bai Ge, please invite the girl home to sit down and let your parents hear what's going on."

Jiang's father didn't dare let the girl go out alone. His legs were not in good condition and he couldn't go out with her, but he could always invite her to his home.

Jiang Baige thought about it and said, "Okay, I'll go and ask him to come up."

She handed the chess piece in her hand to her mother and went downstairs.

Chen Yuan saw an old lady coming out of the alley, and was about to ask her where the Jiang family lived, when he heard the sound of a door opening behind him.

Jiang Baige opened the door and called out, "Brother Shen, why are you here? Is there any news about the thing I asked you to do?"

Chen Yuan heard Jiang Baige's voice and turned back to look for the source of the sound.

When he saw Jiang Baige coming out, he suddenly raised his hand to support his forehead.

"Sister, if I had known you lived here, I would have called out to you."

Jiang Baige asked, "Brother Shen, have you been here for a while?"

Chen Yuan looked at his watch. "About half an hour! Not much longer."

"How about it, are you free now? Come with me!"

Jiang Baige was delighted: "There's news about the house."

Chen Yuan nodded and said, "There are two houses. Go take a look. If you think they are suitable, we can negotiate the price."

Jiang Baige turned around and glanced at the balcony. Her mother was still waiting for her to ask the guests to leave.

Jiang Baige smiled awkwardly, "Don't worry, Brother Shen, come to my house and sit for a while, have a drink of water, and then we'll leave."

Chen Yuan has always been carefree and didn't suspect that others wanted to see what kind of person he was.

He agreed, "Okay! This will help me recognize your home. Next time if I have any problems, I will come to your house to find you."

After going upstairs, I found that Jiang's parents were at home.

After saying hello, he sat down on the stool.

Jiang's mother poured a glass of water and asked Shen Yuan to drink it first.

Jiang Baige saw her father kept looking at Shen Yuan, so she quickly introduced him to his father.

"Dad, this is Brother Shen. We met on the train on the way back. I asked him to help us find a house. I want to buy one."

"If our father sold his job, we wouldn't be left without a place to live."

Father Jiang didn't expect the girl to buy a house, so he asked, "Girl, you take everything on yourself."

Jiang's mother also nodded, thinking that her daughter was too opinionated. She made the decision alone on such a big matter as buying a house.

Chen Yuan was afraid that the Jiang family would disagree, so he quickly said, "How about you guys discuss it, I'll go back first."

"It hasn't been decided yet anyway. Let me know after you've discussed it."

Jiang's mother smiled and said, "Why go back? Let's go together. I'll keep an eye on things."

Their house is definitely for sale, so if you are looking to buy it, you might as well go and take a look.

She didn't want to go with the girl on such a big matter as buying a house, for she was afraid that the girl would be cheated and end up spending her money on a bad house.

Their family is rich now, and a house only costs a few hundred dollars, so they can afford it.

Shen Yuan breathed a sigh of relief, "Okay, let's go!"

Jiang Baige also wanted to take Grandma Meng to visit the city. It was not easy for the old lady to come to the city. Maybe this was her first and last time.

After taking Grandma Meng away, Father Jiang was the only one left at home.

Shen Yuan rode a bicycle when he came, so the four of them rode two bicycles and went to the city center.

When they arrived, the first homeowner they saw was moving. He had packed up all his clothes and bedding, and he didn't want anything that couldn't be moved.

I heard that the man of this house was going to work in Beijing and would settle down there in the future. He planned to buy a house there, so he wanted to sell the house here, and he was in a hurry and paid the money to get the house immediately.

Jiang Baige and her friends went to see it together. The house was well-renovated and the furniture was new. You could tell from Jiang's mother's eyes that she was very satisfied with the place.

After visiting this one, I rode my bike for another ten minutes and went to another one.

The house has been vacant for two years. I heard that it was left behind by an old man who passed away. However, the house is very big, far exceeding Jiang Baige's requirements.

This family all have jobs and own houses, so they don't seem to be short of money. It's just that the house is empty, and they are afraid that it will be damaged by wind and sun over time and become worthless.

I have several brothers and sisters, and no one wants to come here to clean, so I am thinking of exchanging it for money.

After Jiang Baige and her friends went in to take a look, they found that this was the place Jiang Baige liked. She was very satisfied with both the house layout and the large garden outside.

After comparing them one by one and looking at both of them clearly, Jiang Baige couldn't make up his mind.

One family doesn't even need any furniture, so they can move in right away, saving a lot of money.

The other house had been empty for a long time and was in a dilapidated state. Not only did it need to be renovated, but the furniture inside also needed to be replaced.

Jiang Baige looked at her mother and then at Grandma Meng, trying to get their opinions.

In Jiang Baige's opinion, if she couldn't make up her mind, she would take both houses.

But she couldn't do that. Her mother was timid and would be scared to death. She could only pay for whatever her mother liked.

After much consideration, Jiang's mother decided to move right into the house she wanted. There were still two rooms left in the house for her family of four.

After her son gets married, his children will also have rooms. Thinking of the two rooms in the house, she can't wait to move in.

The main reason was that the house was nice enough and she fell in love with it at first sight.

Chen Yuan negotiated for a long time and finally spent 20,000 yuan to buy the three-story building.

However, this discussion was only held after Jiang Baige sent her mother and Grandma Meng out. If they had known it would cost so much money, they would definitely not be willing to buy it.

After paying the money, they transferred the property ownership first. The current property certificate is just a handwritten piece of paper. After both parties put their fingerprints on it and stamped it with the official seal, it's done.

After successfully obtaining the property certificate, Jiang Baige told her mother the good news, but she kept her mouth shut and didn't reveal a single word about the price.

Because Jiang Baige had something else to do, she asked her mother and Grandma Meng to go home first.

She was still thinking about another house, so she pulled Shen Yuan to the small western-style building.

She likes this place so much that she wants to buy it and come back to live here when she is old.

She was not sure about the origin of this small Western-style building, but to be able to live in such a nice house at this time, the family must have some background.

With Shen Yuan's help, he spent another 15,000 yuan to buy this somewhat dilapidated house.

If this house wasn't so shabby, it definitely wouldn't be worth this much money.
