Chapter 7 Going to the Supply and Marketing Cooperative

Jiang Baige smiled sheepishly: "There's nothing interesting to see in this town, let's go back!"

Liang Youwei also felt bored. This place was far worse than their city. No wonder, before he left, his mother repeatedly told him not to find a wife here.

Now that I think about it, what his mother said makes sense. Once he marries a poor wife, he will have many places to spend money in the future.

The two of them walked side by side silently on the street, and people who occasionally met on the street couldn't help but look at them.

Passersby thought, "These two young people, are they really dating? They are so brave, aren't they afraid of being reported and affecting the atmosphere?"

Some people actually said this to those around them, "This young girl must be dating! It's really outrageous. A grown woman hanging out with a man is so disrespectful."

Jiang Baige was very disgusted when she heard people talking.

I thought, "It's really like that these days. When you see a man and a woman together, you say they are a couple."

"And where have I lost my self-respect? Is there really nothing else to talk about?"

The two quickly arrived at the door of the supply and marketing cooperative, where Wu Lili, Wu Juan, and Yu Shengli were already waiting.

Seeing them come back, Wu Juan asked, "Is this town big?"

Jiang Baige shook her head. "It's not big, and there's nothing to see."

Wu Lili looked disdainful. "How big of a place can the countryside be? Let's go! Hurry back! I'm so tired."

The group walked back the same way and arrived at the entrance of the state-owned restaurant. Wu Lili said again, "Why don't we have lunch before going back?"

Wu Juan was in a dilemma. Her cousin wanted to buy everything she saw when she went out, but how could she go out to eat with so many people?

She pulled Wu Lili's sleeve and said, "Lili, let's go back quickly! Eating here costs a lot of money."

Wu Lili was used to being stubborn. "It's such a long way back home. Who can walk when they're hungry?"

Several people were at the entrance of the state-owned hotel, blocking the door.

Jiang Baige asked the two men, "What do you think of Comrade Wu Lili's opinion?"

She didn't really want to eat it, but she always had to ask other people's opinions.

Yu Shengli and Liang Youwei looked at each other and thought, "It's just a meal, it shouldn't cost much."

He nodded and said, "Okay, let's eat first and then go back!"

With so many people, it’s impossible to ask anyone to treat everyone.

Jiang Baige said again: "How about this! Let's eat our own food."

Yu Shengli and the other person nodded in agreement. Of course they agreed with this idea.

Otherwise, they cannot ask female comrades to pay when they take them out to eat.

Three or two dollars is fine, but if it’s more, no one can afford it.

After hearing this, Wu Juan felt relieved.

She was really afraid that her cousin would catch monsters, and with so many people eating, she wouldn't have enough money.

She no longer had any money to squander, and now that she heard that she could eat her own food, she felt relieved.

He whispered, "Okay then! Eat first and then go back."

A group of people walked into the state-owned restaurant. It was lunch time, but no one was eating in the lobby. There was only an older woman dozing off behind the counter.

Hearing footsteps, the eldest sister opened her eyes.

He asked enthusiastically, "What do you comrades want to eat?"

Yu Shengli asked: "Sister, what do you have to eat now?"

The eldest sister took a look at them and saw that they were all dressed neatly and did not look like they could not afford to eat.

Then he said, "We have stir-fried dishes, rice, noodles, dumpling soup, buns, and steamed buns. What would you like to eat?"
