91. Only this one

Lu Guansheng took out two things from the luggage bag he brought with him.

One is a round plate the size of a wok, and the other is a round plate the size of a cup.

Everyone's curiosity suddenly aroused.

"Submarine, space suit." Lu Guansheng pointed at a large and small novel, "Can I take it with me?"

"Dr. Lu, would you mind demonstrating it?" Davis was as curious as everyone else.

"The place here is too small. Let's go to the garden lawn in the courtyard?" Lu Guansheng pointed outside the window.

The group moved outside. Lu Guansheng walked to the open space, put down the large round plate, stepped back three to five meters, took out the remote control from his pocket and pressed it.

"Click, click, click..." After a few noises, the disc turned into a submarine two meters wide and five meters long like a transformer.

"Wow!"

There were endless exclamations of praise. It really was high-tech, this prop...amazing!

"What about the space suit?" Davis asked again after coming to his senses.

Lu Guansheng waved the small disc at them, then pressed it against his chest.

With his index finger on the center of the circle, in two seconds, Lu Guansheng was fully armed.

"So magical? Can I try it?" Davis was very curious.

"This space suit is made according to my body shape. I'm afraid Mr. Davis can't fit it!" Lu Guansheng pointed at Davis's beer belly. He was not stingy, he really couldn't fit it.

"Uh..." Davis touched his beer belly and laughed, "Looks like it can't fit in there!"

"How about this!" Lu Guansheng pointed at Davis' assistant Chris, "Let this gentleman try?"

“Okay!” Davis saw that Chris’s build was similar to Lawrence Lu’s, and immediately signaled his assistant to come forward.

Pressing the disc on Chris's chest, Lu Guansheng clicked on the fingerprint lock.

"Wow!" After putting on the space suit, Chris no longer looked like a serious assistant to a senior official, but a curious child!

"Try the flying function?" Lu Guansheng said to Chris.

"How do I do it?"

"Repeat after me: command, boost, 20%."

Chris repeated it.

"Phew!"

High-pressure airflow spurted out from the soles of the space suit's feet and behind the elbows, lifting Chris more than one meter off the ground.

"Wow! Ah!" Chris moved his arms, screamed, and fell forward!

Lu Guansheng immediately took over the voice control and turned off the boost.

"Are you okay?" Lu Guansheng stepped forward, took off his spacesuit, and helped Chris up. "I forgot to remind you that this flying balance requires practice..."

Thinking back, he fell several times.

"Hahahaha!" Davis laughed. "Chris, are you okay?"

"No, I was just scared! I was wearing a space suit, so it didn't seem to hurt when I fell!" Although Chris made a fool of himself, he didn't mind. He just felt it was novel.

"Do you want to go inside the submarine for a tour?" Lu Guansheng asked again.

Hearing this, everyone's already high curiosity was released, and they walked quickly towards the submarine.

After many more questions, the group's curiosity was satisfied and they returned to the meeting room.

After this incident, their recognition of Lawrence Lu's ability has become a firm understanding! This is also Lawrence Lu's purpose.

In negotiations, of course, you have to let the other party have a preconceived idea and subjectively begin to believe in the feasibility of the suggestions and opinions he will put forward next.

Opening the eyes of this group of people also indirectly increased their acceptance of emerging suggestions and ideas, and broadened their understanding of the word "possibility".

After sitting down again, Davis asked Lu Guansheng how he planned to save the Great Barrier Reef?

"I think it should be divided into two stages." Lu Guansheng began to explain the plan in his mind.

The first stage is to cultivate new genetically modified coral polyps.

Today, coral polyps are gradually becoming extinct due to the warming of sea water, and coral reefs are bleaching.

Although the Sky Repair Project can restore the sea water temperature to its original level within 20 to 30 years, these 20 to 30 years will almost completely cause the only remaining coral polyps to become extinct.

So in the short term, Lu Guansheng plans to keep the coral polyps alive through genetic modification.

The second step is to transplant native coral polyps after the sea water temperature recovers, so that the Great Barrier Reef can return to its original ecological environment.

"Genetically modified?" Davis wasn't quite sure. "How?"

"My idea is to replace the temperature-related genes in the coral polyp's genome with the equivalent combination in the red algae's genome."

"Can this be done? It sounds quite mysterious!" Davis didn't understand much, but he knew that modifying genes was not easy.

"You may have heard that I collaborated with a scientific genius named Guan Ping, right?"

"Guan Ping? Can he do it?"

"The people under him might be able to do it. I think the chances of success are still very high!"

"Someone under his command?" Davis continued, "But didn't Dr. Lu say he wanted exclusive access?"

"I've been supporting Guan Ping for over a year." Lu Guansheng nodded. "He's a weirdo. He only sells patents and doesn't participate in any open platforms."

What Lu Guansheng meant was that as long as he came up with a research topic, Guan Ping would let his team take charge of the research, and the results would be turned into patents and sold to Lu Guansheng.

So, to put it bluntly, it is still Lu Guansheng’s exclusive.

"How long will that take?"

"Not sure, maybe three to five months?" Lu Guansheng thought for a moment, "During these three to five months, representatives from various countries can prepare the venue."

"Venue?" The representatives who were taking notes looked up when they heard Lu Guansheng mention them.

"Yes! I'm only responsible for the technology, but the specific cultivation and operation require the participation of experts from various countries."
