Chapter 113 Jiang Sui Dreamed of Her Parents

If I avoid mentioning it again, it would seem too deliberate.

Jiang Sui pursed her lips and decided to find an excuse to get by.

"They are two scientists whom I admire very much, and whom you don't know."

Jiang Sui put his hands behind his back and told lies without blinking.

Although her expression was very natural, Song Sichen couldn't help but stare at her face for a long time, always feeling that there was something strange about it.

He recalled for a long time in his mind and suddenly felt that Jiang Sui was right. The two people in the portrait seemed to be a couple of scientists he had seen somewhere.

Afraid that asking too many questions would embarrass Jiang Sui, Song Sixen naturally changed the subject.

"Have you had dinner yet?"

Seeing that he had no intention of asking further questions, Jiang Sui breathed a sigh of relief: "I have eaten."

Glancing at the poster on the table, she still felt a little guilty. She was afraid that if she didn't say anything, Song Sichen would remember her parents again, so she deliberately yawned.

"I'm a little sleepy. Let's rest early today."

Song Sichen responded softly: "Okay."

He stood there, watching Jiang Sui turn around and walk into the house. He took out a match from the drawer and lit the kerosene lamp on the bedside table.

The room was instantly lit up by an orange-yellow light.

The candlelight flickered, giving Jiang Sui's profile a warm, rough edge.

When she lowered her eyes, her expression was extremely focused and serious. Against the backdrop of the dim night, her face was so delicate and beautiful that it was unbelievable.

Song Sichen stared at her face without blinking, and suddenly felt that her calm profile was very different from her before.

Jiang Sui's lips were curved and she was even smiling, but for some reason he felt as if he couldn't grasp her.

It was as if she was going to leave him in the next second.

Song Sichen's eyes suddenly turned cold, and this feeling made him feel extremely uncomfortable.

He stared at Jiang Sui for a long time, unwilling to let his negative emotions affect her, but he still couldn't help but call her, wanting to confirm her existence.

"Sui Sui."

After a pause, Song Sichen realized that this name was too intimate for them now, so he changed his words:

"Ginger Sui."

"What?"

Jiang Sui didn't hear it clearly and subconsciously turned around to look at where he was.

At this moment, Song Sichen was still standing in the yard. The poor lighting made it difficult for her to see the expression on his face.

She could only feel the gaze lingering on her, which seemed a little too hot.

When they were making out in bed, Song Sichen always looked at her like this.

Jiang Sui's scalp tingled and all kinds of blushing scenes appeared in his mind almost as a conditioned reflex.

She mistook Song Sichen's gaze to mean that he wanted to do that with her again, and couldn't help but complain in her heart.

Why is this man never-ending? It's like he's always hungry.

He doesn't feel tired, she still has to get up early to go to work tomorrow.

It happened that Jiang Sui had already taken a shower when she returned home, so she lay down on the bed without thinking and wrapped herself tightly with the quilt.

Only after she was sure that she was wrapped up tightly without any gaps did she stick her head out and refused firmly.

"I'm sleepy and want to go to bed first. If you need anything, take care of it yourself."

Song Sichen: “…”

No matter how good the atmosphere is, it will be completely destroyed.

He finally suppressed the urge to sigh, turned around with a wooden face and went to wash up.

When Song Sichen finished his shower and came back feeling cool, Jiang Sui was already fast asleep.

As if she was annoyed by the kerosene lamp burning at the bedside that was dazzling her eyes, she turned sideways and buried herself in the quilt.

Only her long seaweed-like hair spread on the pillow, looking particularly nice to touch.

As Song Sichen watched, his heart couldn't help but soften.

He walked to the bedside and turned off the kerosene lamp. He thought for a moment, then gently touched Jiang Sui's neck.

"Stop it."

Jiang Sui was ticklish, and after grumbling, she turned towards him.

With her long eyelashes drooping down, her sleeping face looks so peaceful and beautiful.

Song Sichen looked at her face quietly through the moonlight, and couldn't help but raise his hand to gently brush away the strands of hair stuck to the sides of her face.

The interaction between the two seems particularly natural and intimate.

Jiang Sui rubbed her hands along his palms, not knowing what she was dreaming about, and she actually sobbed softly.

Seeing her moist eyes, Song Sichen felt as if he was pricked by a needle and felt a little painful.

He raised his hand to wipe away Jiang Sui's tears, and subconsciously moved closer to her. Only then did he hear her whispering and calling out, and it turned out that the person she was calling was her parents.

"Mom and Dad, I miss you so much, please don't leave me..."

Song Sichen was slightly stunned, and then his mood became particularly bad.

He took it for granted. Seeing that Jiang Sui usually acted as if she didn't care, he really thought she didn't care about it all.

But we forget that no one can be truly free from the shackles of family.

Song Sichen was sent down to the village and seemed to have a miserable life, but at least his parents treated him well.

During the time he stayed at home, he lived a happy and comfortable life.

Jiang Sui is different. Although she is so sensible, Jiang Anping and Wang Chunhong have never treated her as a child.

They only thought about how much benefit they could get from her, but did not consider how much harm such behavior would bring to their daughter.

The grievance in Jiang Sui's heart must be much deeper than the calmness she appears.

When Song Sichen thought of this, he couldn't help but let out a low sigh. For the first time, he knew what it felt like to feel sorry for someone else.

He wanted to comfort Jiang Sui, but he really didn't know how to comfort someone.

After hesitating for a moment, he raised his warm palm and gently placed it on Jiang Sui's forehead, coaxing her softly:

"Go to sleep. No matter what, I will always stay by your side and accompany you."

Feeling the familiar breath approaching, Jiang Sui's breathing gradually became steady.

The dream, which was originally full of sadness and separation, suddenly changed into another style.

Jiang Sui tightly grasped the backpack on her back and looked around at the old-fashioned streets with a little confusion.

Familiar yet unfamiliar faces passed by, but when they saw her, they stopped and greeted her with a loving smile on their faces.

"Sui Sui is back."

"I haven't seen you for a few days. You've grown so tall."

"You should have just finished school at this time, are you going to look for your parents?"

Jiang Sui's heart skipped a beat, and the memories that had been buried deep in her mind were awakened.

No wonder she always felt that the environment here was very familiar. It turned out that this was the hospital staff quarters where she lived for a long time when she was a child.

"Yeah, I want to go find mom and dad."
