Chapter 37
Look how charming you are! [Bonus Chapter]
Lin Jin whispered in her ear, her breath hot yet incredibly tender.
The words of intimacy transformed into playful little sprites, sneaking into Cheng Sangluo's ears, rampaging into the depths of her soul, and easily disrupting everything.
A wave of unbearable pain washed over Cheng Sangluo's throat. Her originally tanned skin had darkened by the sun, but even so, the red glow that gradually appeared on it was still visible.
"Cough cough..." She coughed awkwardly, trying to hide the shyness flowing in her heart, unaware that such behavior would only embolden the person behind her.
Lin Jin narrowed her crescent-shaped eyebrows and smiled even more triumphantly.
Wasn't she doing all that on purpose? Those overly intimate whispers, those frivolous words—weren't they all meant to provoke the hard-hearted person in front of her?
Lin Jin needed to test the waters, and also hoped that Cheng Sangluo would waver soon.
She even prayed deep in her heart, praying that her instinctive cravings would prevail over that damned reason.
The large living room was silent. The person sitting on the carpet remained motionless, and every second felt like an eternity.
When Lin Jin couldn't hold back any longer, she once again took the initiative to stretch out her arms and gently wrap them around Cheng Sangluo's neck.
She rubbed her face against his already burning ear, her voice soft and seductive as she continued, "You want it, don't you? Your soul is honest, so your body is honest. If you want it, just say it and do it. Don't lie to yourself or me, okay?"
Cheng Sangluo tried her best to slow down her breathing so that the faint scent of cedarwood could penetrate her more slowly.
She didn't deliberately cling to reason, but she needed time to prepare for everything that was about to happen tonight.
With a weary sigh, she reached out and patted the slender white arms wrapped around her neck. "Lin Jin, you still haven't told me what illness you have."
“I told you, I have an illness that only you can cure. You always ask me what I want, why I do those inexplicable things. If I said that all I've ever wanted is you, because you're the only cure for me, would you believe me?”
Lin Jin didn't lie, but her casual way of speaking made her earnestness seem superficial.
The medicine she swallowed must have taken effect to cause her to look like this. Her emotions calmed down, her speech became slower, and her tone became a little drawn out.
To Cheng Sangluo, this argument sounded quite absurd. She never believed that anyone could cure anyone else, so she responded coldly: "Go to the hospital if you're not feeling well, take medicine if you're sick. I'm nothing, I can't cure you."
"One day, you will regret what you did tonight." Lin Jin accepted this indifference, yet felt utterly lost, and could only collapse wearily into silence on the sofa.
Where did that soft-hearted goddess go? Why is her heart still so hard?
The light in Lin Jin's eyes dimmed until it shattered into a shallow pool of crystalline light.
Cheng Sangluo broke the somber atmosphere, "You know what I'm angry about."
Since she was alone in a room with Lin Jin, she thought she might as well take this opportunity to lay bare all the things that had happened since they met, which might make her future days easier.
Lin Jin changed her lying position, propped her cheek with one hand, and ruffled her head with the other. "I'm angry too."
"What are you angry about? Are you angry that I went on a date with Shu Wan?" Cheng Sangluo leaned back against the coffee table and said righteously, "Who I'm with and what I do is my own business. I have no reason to report to you, let alone refuse anyone for your sake."
"I admit it, I equally resent everyone who's close to you," Lin Jin confessed, but without showing any remorse. "The friendlier you are to them, the angrier I get, and Shu Wan is the one I can't stand the most. Cheng Sangluo, you're not stupid, are you? Can't you see what trick she's playing tonight?"
"I'm actually quite grateful to her." Cheng Sangluo chuckled. This response was undoubtedly like rubbing salt into Lin Jin's wounds, a clear case of tit for tat. "Now that I've said that, you should be even angrier, right?"
"Yeah... I'm really angry..." Lin Jin's face darkened further. She pushed herself up with her hands, like a cat poised to pounce, and with a sudden leap, used the momentum to trap herself in that bastard's arms. "Looks like... I still didn't manage to hurt you... you unrepentant dog..."
Cheng Sangluo didn't push away the crazy woman who had suddenly launched an attack. Instead, she supported the woman's waist with both hands to prevent her from bumping into her knees. "Are you ever going to stop?"
"It's not over yet!" Lin Jin's tone was stubborn, but it also hid a deep sense of resentment. He could only vent his anger by biting. "I'm warning you, if I see you having an affair with that woman again, you'll be in big trouble."
Still feeling unsatisfied, she tore a large hole in Cheng Sangluo's collar, revealing his shoulder with old scars, and buried her head in it, launching a ferocious attack.
Cheng Sangluo winced in pain, grimacing as she endured the pain. She raised her hand high, intending to smash it down on the madwoman's head, but as it fell, it became a gentle caress.
Like dealing with a frightened cat, you should gently stroke its fur to calm its irrational anger.
Lin Jin's eyes were red with sadness, and she was biting her nose so hard that she wrinkled her nose, but she let go when she felt Cheng Sangluo's comforting words.
She raised her head, her gaze falling on her tightly pursed lips, a corner of purity she had kept to this day, one she refused to touch.
Their faces were so close that they shared each other's breath, yet they were so far apart, as if they were standing on opposite sides of a strait, with an unbridgeable chasm between them, where superiority and inferiority lay hidden.
Therefore, they are separated by mountains and seas.
Lin Jin's fingertips caressed Cheng Sangluo's lips, every inch filled with joy. Just as she was about to break down and kiss him, she pulled on a sliver of reason and abruptly turned her head away.
She would wait for that irresistible kiss, until one day this person who never takes the initiative would personally give it to her.
Cheng Sangluo held her breath, feeling the intensity of her heartbeat, but her expression remained completely composed.
She reached out and lifted Lin Jin's chin, turning her delicate face back to its proper position, and said, word by word, "Have you had enough fun? If you have, I should go."
How could Lin Jin let the person in front of her off so easily?
She nodded and picked up her rough fingertips.
Grind it gently on your lips and teeth.
He then suckled with abandon.
His eyes and brows were seductive, staring intently at the unfazed man, so that she could clearly see his every move.
After they had had their fill of fun, Lin Jin clicked her tongue and said, "I'm giving you two choices now: either leave me behind and go without looking back, or carry me to the bathroom."
Cheng Sangluo lowered her eyes and stared at her fingers, which were damp and warm.
The pain in one's fingers is connected to the pain in one's heart, so it can also transmit other sensations. For example, when Lin Jin's tongue rubs off a tickle, her heart also feels ticklish.
But as soon as his fingertips left the madwoman's lips, they grew cold again, and his heart felt empty and cold.
The momentary lapse in concentration was fleeting; Cheng Sangluo quickly curled her fingertips and withdrew her arm.
She stood up with some difficulty, pulling the person sitting on her waist up with her.
Lin Jin felt weightless and instinctively snuggled into Cheng Sangluo's arms, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck, and asked with a smile, "So?"
"Do you think I look like I'm about to pack you up and take you away?" Cheng Sangluo gave an unexpected response. "If I can satisfy your craving tonight, I hope it will be for a price."
"Oh? That's interesting." Lin Jin looked at the path leading to the master bedroom, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "What conditions are you going to offer me?"
"Don't bother me anymore until the debt agreement expires. I will find a way to pay it back when it's due."
"How are you going to pay it back?" Lin Jin frowned and said warily, "You didn't borrow money from Shu Wan, did you? I wouldn't even consider her penny-pinching money."
"You're overthinking it. I won't tell everyone about the dirty things you've done."
"Hmph, it better not be like that. I'm warning you one more time, stay away from her. That woman is no good." Lin Jin was wary, then thought about who else that scoundrel could have found, and guessed, "Who else could it be? Your rich second-generation friend? As far as I know, she's abroad recently."
"That's not your concern. You just need to promise whether you can do it."
Lin Jin, of course, wouldn't give in easily, and dodged the question with a flourish, saying, "Then we'll see how well you perform tonight~"
......
The bathroom, with its clear, rippling water and rising mist, is filled with a captivating aromatherapy scent.
Cheng Sangluo was not completely naked.
She complied with Lin Jin's preference and changed into a pure white robe.
The robe cannot be taken off; it must be worn halfway down the waist so that a madwoman in a playful mood can properly admire it.
Cheng Sangluo's partially exposed dark skin stood out conspicuously in the softly lit room.
It's like roughness over refinement, incongruous yet eye-catching.
Lin Jin leaned against the cold tile wall with her back to him, occasionally glancing at Cheng Sangluo behind her.
The mirror, as wide as the wall, realistically depicted their ambiguous interactions.
Cheng Sangluo's wall slam was very natural. Her fingertips twirled Lin Jin's wet hair, and she gently sniffed it.
She couldn't tell whether she liked the taste or was simply obsessed with it.
Lin Jin admired the puppy's beautiful jawline and couldn't help but trace it with her hand.
You must visit and appreciate the people and things you like in person, and handle and play with them to satisfy your imagination.
Cheng Sangluo lowered her head and kissed Lin Jin's temple, then whispered on her lips about Lin Jin's soft earlobe, "I've noticed that you seem to really like mirrors."
"I don't like mirrors." Lin Jin stroked her face, her fingertips dancing, touching her brow bone, her nose bridge, and so on.
"What do you like?"
“I like the reflection in the mirror…” Lin Jin’s breath hitched.
The sudden burst of light from the rippling blue water was so captivating that it was hard to focus. He paused for a moment before continuing, "I need to see clearly... how I, so rational... so stubborn, led you step by step into this abyss... You probably don't know... how alluring you are when you're wild... The mirror can bear witness..."
Lin Jin bit her lip, unable to speak coherent sentences, and could only keep rambling on and on.
Her nutmeg-colored nails dug deep, scratching out the luxurious marks of the night onto his broad back.
Cheng Sangluo believed her words, silently turned back to look in the mirror, a hint of unfamiliarity flashing in her eyes.
She felt like a stranger to herself after experiencing the benefits.
He had to maintain that indomitable attitude while finding all sorts of reasons to convince himself to enjoy the pleasure with the crazy woman.
How hypocritical, Cheng Sangluo.
Lin Jin smiled radiantly in the mirror, her water-stained hair disheveled, a strand clinging to her lips, creating an alluring yet tasteful charm.
She half-embraced Cheng Sangluo's neck, her body as soft and supple as a handful of fluffy cotton, and sighed with a smile, "Look how charming you are~"
