Chapter 62

Chapter 62

Treat every time as the first time

The usually quiet and serious CEO's office was bustling with activity for the first time like today.

The desks pieced together create two completely different scenes.

A large space always amplifies even the slightest movements, just like now, the rustling of turning pages and the clattering of things create a mix of tranquility and liveliness.

The afternoon sunlight was golden, like a cicada's wing wrapped around Lin Jin's beige satin shirt, creating a soft halo.

She is extremely efficient at her job, and has already reviewed most of the mountain of documents. However, looking at large amounts of data can be overwhelming.

Boss Lin would also sneak in some free time to relax, and his little dog was the perfect treat.

When her temples throbbed, she would rub the bridge of her nose and close her eyes to rest, or watch the little dog fiddling with wood for a while to refresh her eyes.

As she gazed into the distance, the corners of her lips couldn't help but curl upwards, probably because she was pleased with the puppy's flustered state, all because of her.

The other end of the desk.

Cheng Sangluo was so engrossed in the world of carving that she couldn't extricate herself from it. She was wrestling with the wood in her hands, and even the annoying glances from the person opposite her couldn't elicit any reaction from her.

This person didn't stop all afternoon, trying to learn seal carving from short videos. The tutorials looked easy, but without any foundation, he could only learn it poorly at a glance.

Several pieces of uncarved wood were already piled up on the table. Cheng Sangluo scratched his head in frustration, thinking that if he kept carving like this, all the materials he bought today would be wasted.

"hiss--"

As she drifted off, a sharp pain shot through her fingertips, causing her to let out a short, sharp cry of pain.

The engraving knife isn't particularly sharp, but if you use the wrong force or make a wrong cut, you can easily prick your finger.

She watched as the blood quickly gathered into a full droplet, and then she quickly put it in her mouth to stop the bleeding.

Hearing the noise, Lin Jin peeked out from beside the monitor.

Her expression didn't change much, but her tone held a hint of worry: "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing, it's nothing," Cheng Sangluo mumbled, sucking on her finger, before busily searching for tissues to wrap her wound.

When she looked up again, Lin Jin had already hopped to her side on one foot.

"Clumsy," Lin Jin scolded playfully, scooping up the puppy's fingertips to examine them while pulling open a drawer in her desk.

Cheng Sangluo subconsciously looked at the drawer and found it stuffed with band-aids. Her expression, which had been suppressing the pain, softened a little, and she felt a strange feeling in her heart.

It hurts, but why is there a faint sweetness to it?

Perhaps what she saw was not just the prepared band-aid, but also the deep concern that the crazy woman never made a sound about.

Lin Jin gently wrapped a band-aid around her wound. "It must hurt a lot, right? After all, your fingers are connected to your heart."

Cheng Sangluo rubbed the edge of the band-aid with her thumb, and curled her lips dismissively: "It doesn't hurt, this little injury is nothing."

"You're no longer a soldier in the army, can you stop forcing yourself to do everything?" Lin Jin's tone was somewhat reproachful, hoping that the person who was always getting hurt could take better care of himself.

She leaned against the table, picked up a piece of wood and looked at it. The name was carved in a messy, illegible way. It seemed this task would keep the puppy busy for quite a while.

Cheng Sangluo muttered indignantly, "Isn't my injury also caused by your bizarre mission?"

Lin Jin looked at the puppy's puffed-out cheeks and thought they were cute, so she reached out and pinched them, then asked, "Why don't you think about why I need you to carve my signature?"

"You know what, I've really thought about it." The puppy said matter-of-factly, "Knowing you as I do, you're probably just trying to make things difficult for me because you can't stand me being quiet."

The crazy woman scoffed: "Tch, superficial."

The puppy bristled: "Humph, you call me shallow? Look at what you've done, how is anything not shallow?"

The crazy woman feigned sadness: "My puppy has started to rebel and has learned to talk back to me."

The puppy barked, "What do you mean, 'you' or 'your little dog'? Besides, these are my honest words, the absolute truth!"

The two started arguing again after a disagreement, but the atmosphere was more harmonious than ever before.

Lin Jin took a can of chilled cola and handed it to the puppy. "I didn't give you a deadline, so there's no need to rush. Take a break first."

"Stop messing around! Can't you just sit still and stop wandering around?" Cheng Sangluo took the cola and scolded her, but she couldn't hide her concern for the crazy woman's foot injury.

She did the same thing as before, pulling out three crumpled one-yuan bills, saying, "I won't eat or take for free."

"Okay, I won't eat or take for free." Lin Jin said in a high-pitched voice, imitating a puppy.

She didn't refuse the change, but instead picked up a bill and folded it into a heart shape. "Don't you want to know why I asked you to make a stamp?"

“I want to, but every time I want to know something, you always beat around the bush and don’t answer, so I just stop asking.”

Lin Jin slapped the heart-shaped banknote onto the puppy's forehead and commanded, "No, you have to ask."

Cheng Sangluo, to show her support, raised her fist and used it as a microphone to interview her: "Ms. Lin, why did you ask me to do such a boring and thankless task? Please answer me directly."

Lin Jin smiled radiantly, leaning closer to the microphone in front of her, her expression becoming exceptionally serious. "Because I want Miss Cheng to remember my name, to have every stroke of it etched into her heart. Even if one day I leave her life, she may forget what I look like, but she will never forget my name."

Cheng Sangluo, who had been staring at the slender fingers clasped on her wrist, stiffened her smile upon hearing the earnest reply.

The crazy woman had put her heart into it, so Cheng Sangluo felt uneasy, and couldn't shake the feeling of unease.

She didn't avoid Lin Jinshuo's serious gaze, but remained silent for a long time before forcing a dry laugh and saying, "I think that even if you disappear from my life one day, I will never forget what you look like, because your smile is so annoying and easy to remember."

Upon hearing this, Cheng Sangluo immediately regretted it deeply.

You shut up! What are you saying?!

"Oh~ My smile is annoying~" Lin Jin smiled nonchalantly, secretly pinching the puppy's injured finger hard. "Whether it's hatred or dislike, isn't it still an emotion that touches people's hearts, don't you think?"

Cheng Sangluo winced in pain as she was pinched, and quickly explained, "I was just kidding... just kidding..."

"You little rascal, if you're going to talk so much, then shut up." Lin Jin picked up a milk grape mochi and stuffed it into the puppy's mouth, stuffing several in a row until the puppy's face looked like a hamster before she stopped.

Cheng Sangluo chewed vigorously, laughing, "You're so childish and petty. I just said a few words to you, it's not worth getting angry with me!"

Lin Jin's way of expressing anger was to ignore him.

She went straight back to her desk. She had almost finished reviewing the documents, but there was still one important thing to deal with.

She created a new document on the computer and started typing furiously, pressing the spacebar with extra force, as if venting her anger.

As for what's making him angry, only the little dog on the other side probably knows the answer.

After hearing the explanation, Cheng Sangluo stared blankly at the wooden block, unable to bring herself to carve the seal with the engraving knife. She seemed to be distracted and unable to concentrate on carving the seal for a while.

She strained her ears to listen to the loud, forceful keyboard clicks, and craned her neck to look across at the other side, but the monitor blocked her view, preventing her from seeing Lin Jin's expression.

Why would someone say they'll disappear from your life one day? Why must you carve your name into every stroke of your pen? Why must you remember it? Why must you be so entangled with it?

The more Cheng Sangluo thought about it, the less she understood, to the point that her mind was in complete turmoil.

She couldn't bring herself to appease the angry, mad woman, so she propped her cheek up with one hand and fiddled with the wooden block in the other.

The atmosphere in the spacious office became unusually somber as the conversation abruptly ended.

Cheng Sangluo turned her gaze to the daisies placed in front of her; the flowers were in full bloom, brimming with vitality.

bite!

A brilliant idea flashed into her mind, and she thought of a way to appease Lin Jin without having to beg her.

Cheng Sangluo took out an A4 sheet and cut it into a stack of small strips with a utility knife.

She pondered for a while before picking up a pen and scribbling on the small piece of paper.

Lin Jin stared blankly at the screen. In just a few minutes, the newly created document was already filled with dense text.

This is precisely the clause of the marriage of convenience agreement she drafted, dozens of clauses, each one unfairly targeting the puppy.

It seems that only when one is angry can one come up with a good way to bully a puppy.

With a whoosh, a crumpled piece of paper flew in a beautiful arc and landed precisely on the keyboard.

Lin Jin glanced at it indifferently, not wanting to pay attention to the puppy's childish behavior, but her typing speed obviously slowed down until there was no sound in the office.

She unfolded the paper and looked at it; it was a little duck drawn by Cheng Sangluo.

The little duck has a crooked neck and looks rather silly. Below the drawing is a sentence: Once upon a time, there was a little duck...

Lin Jin looked at the crooked-necked duck and tilted her head back, her eyes crinkling with laughter.

She discovered that the puppy was a treasure waiting to be discovered.

This person can actually draw simple cartoons, creating something cute with just a few strokes, and also has beautiful regular script calligraphy.

And then? And then what? What happened to this little duck?

Lin Jin wanted to know what would happen next, but because she was still angry and couldn't let her temper get the better of her, she pretended to cough.

The person opposite seemed to understand her meaning and immediately threw another small piece of paper over.

Lin Jin eagerly grabbed the note, but then, feeling that doing so would make her seem easily appeased, she slowed down her movements slightly.

She casually unfolded the note. This time, Cheng Sangluo had drawn a row of little ducks, with the cute, crooked-necked duck standing at the very end, still looking rather clumsy.

The caption below the picture reads: "The little duck wants to align itself with the duck in front of it, but it can't seem to get it right."

Lin Jin put the two slips of paper together and tucked them into her notebook.

This time she didn't say anything, but waited for the puppy to throw the paper ball on its own.

Cheng Sangluo, sitting opposite, kept her head on the table, watching Lin Jin's every move through the gap under the monitor.

Seeing that she had finished reading, he hurriedly threw out the third crumpled piece of paper.

Lin Jin wasn't stupid; she could guess the outcome of such an old, corny joke without even having to guess.

But she liked this kind of interaction. It was a bit childish, but it was a simple way of pleasing people, a unique kind of romance that dogs have.

When she opened the third crumpled paper, there was a drawing of a duck with a crooked neck bowing at a 90-degree angle, accompanied by an enlarged emoticon.

The little duck had a sour face and was sweating profusely. It said, "I'm sorry, Buqi duck, I'm sorry, Buqi duck!"

Lin Jin couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Before she could realize she had lost her composure, the puppy quickly threw her a neatly folded piece of paper.

Lin Jin smiled as she unfolded the paper, inside which was a small daisy that had been picked, with a note next to it: Thank you for taking her out of the mud.

It's her, not it.

Lin Jin chuckled softly, her fingertips gently caressing the flower as if stroking Cheng Sangluo's face, her eyes revealing an untainted kindness.

It turns out that person knew everything, knew how to say thank you, and knew what it meant to love someone like you would a flower.

Lin carefully slipped the remaining paper into her notebook and placed it in the drawer, hoping that seeing it again someday would bring her a thrill of joy.

Instead of going to find the eagerly awaiting puppy, she leaned back in her office chair, closed her eyes, and took a nap, savoring this brief moment of happiness that money couldn't buy.

Cheng Sangluo has now truly become a resentful woman.

She slumped onto the table, head hanging low, inwardly groaning: "Heavens above! I can't coax her, I can't coax this woman!"

Cheng Sangluo hadn't realized when she had become so obedient. When that crazy woman told her to shut up if she was being cheeky, she really didn't open her mouth.

The people on opposite sides of the desk seemed to be separated by a chasm, each harboring their own thoughts as if they were worlds apart.

One waits quietly, the other hopes silently.

Lin Jin pinched the bridge of her nose, her brows gradually furrowing until deep frown lines appeared.

The moment she couldn't resist standing up, the dejected little dog opposite her also stood up without saying a word.

The two people, filled with deep sorrow, looked into each other's eyes, and then fell into a chilling silence.

Lin Jin raised her chin slightly, still with that arrogant and disdainful look, and said coldly, "Speak."

Cheng Sangluo pursed her lips tightly, bent down and hurriedly wrote a sentence on the paper, showing it to her: You told me not to speak.

That bastard, he's even resorting to sign language now.

Lin Jin smiled and sat back down in her chair, beckoning her over: "Come here."

Cheng Sangluo smiled faintly, walked up to her, and spread her hands to indicate: Is there something you need?

"Do you know that your apology is far more valuable than your thanks? At pool parties, yacht parties, in Port 17, in my own home... it's harder than climbing to heaven to get a simple apology from you..."

Lin Jin wanted to hear Cheng Sangluo say "I'm sorry" clearly and distinctly, so she spoke very earnestly, like a student urgently seeking a correct answer.

Cheng Sangluo remained silent, but her expression was one of surprise as she pondered each scene the madwoman had mentioned.

She felt that Lin Jin was the one who should apologize at those times, so she raised her eyebrows, shook her head, and made an X with her hands: No.

"You're being stupid." Lin Jin was still angry, and this time she got even angrier. She simply reached out and pinched the puppy's big leg hard. "Even a crooked-necked duck knows better than you."

"Ouch!" Cheng Sangluo cried out in pain.

Without wasting words, she knelt down to demonstrate her point, lifting Lin Jin's foot and bringing it closer to her chin.

Lin Jin tried to pull her foot back, but couldn't break free from the dog's strong grip. "What are you doing?"

“You’ve humiliated me like this before, why should I apologize?” Cheng Sangluo wasn’t being stubborn, but rather using this to express the injustice she had suffered. “You wanted to get close to me, you could have used many reasonable methods, but you didn’t. You drugged me, you humiliated me in public, you took away my job, and you even jumped into the sea to intimidate me. I have no reason to apologize, do I?”

Although the puppy was trying to reason with her, Lin Jincai didn't think she was wrong.

She was born arrogant and had trampled countless people under her feet.

Talking about dignity with someone like that is just a joke.

Lin Jin leaned back, crossed her arms, and, repeating her previous move, raised her toes.

She rubbed the puppy's chin with her foot again and said rudely, "I don't care, at least you said the wrong thing today, so you have to apologize to me."

Cheng Sangluo felt like she was being pathetic, actually letting the crazy woman use that humiliating trick once again.

However, she did not resist as she had before, but instead went with the flow and grabbed the slender white ankle below her face.

She lifted the hem of her trousers with her fingertips and placed a kiss on her delicate ankle. Her gaze remained fixed on the madwoman looking down at her, so that she could see what she was doing.

The kiss showed no stubbornness, but rather concealed ambition, and beneath that ambition lay a restless desire.

It's an addiction, that unbearable addiction has returned.

"I'm sorry." Cheng Sangluo gently put down the humiliating foot, and added, "I only mean that I said the wrong thing to you today."

Why did she compromise? Cheng Sangluo herself couldn't figure it out.

In her mind, the disgusting things Lin Jin had done kept replaying in her mind, yet somehow they were gradually forgotten.

She racked her brains trying to find the source, until the image in her memory transformed into a boundless sea, with Lin Jinzi falling freely to the bottom of the ocean, his arms outstretched as if begging for her embrace.

This crazy woman isn't afraid of death, but she's afraid of her stubbornness.

Thus, Cheng Sangluo's memory became clearer.

She remembered that day on the cruise ship, when Lin Jin sat on her lap and had a fit, grabbing her chin and desperately pouring wine down her throat, repeatedly asking only one question: Why are you so stubborn?

A soft-hearted god seems to only remember the things that make him feel soft-hearted, and forgets all the bad things.

That's how the compromise came about.

Lin Jin seemed even more at a loss at this moment. She stared wide-eyed, unable to figure out what the puppy was thinking.

She sighed in disbelief: "The iron tree has actually blossomed?"

Those three words were as precious as gold; she had waited for them time and time again, but they never came, and now they had arrived so suddenly.

She bent down and grabbed Cheng Sangluo's collar, wrapping her legs around his strong waist. "Cheng Sangluo, without my permission, you can't say those three words to anyone in the future. That's what makes today's apology so precious."

"Okay." Cheng Sangluo was more obedient than ever before, nodding quickly in response.

She asked softly, "Then have you forgiven me?"

Cheng Sangluo felt increasingly strange. Why didn't she feel any sadness at humiliating herself like this in front of the crazy woman?

"How can you be forgiven so easily?" Lin Jin shook her head arrogantly, but reached out and stroked Cheng Sangluo's head as if petting a dog.

Satisfied with this unique apology, she decided to give her master the most generous reward: "Carry me to the lounge."

Cheng Sangluo did not refuse, and got up to hug the person in the chair, "Are you sleepy? Why don't you go home and rest?"

"It's not that I'm sleepy... it's that I want it..." Lin Jin wrapped his arms around her neck, kissing and nibbling her ear, hissing seductively, "Who told you to kiss my feet? You've stirred up this mess, you'd better figure out how to deal with it yourself~"

Lin Jinsuo's words didn't contain any explicit sexual content, yet they were filled with desire between the lines.

Her eyes sparkled with anticipation as she waited for the puppy's response. She nodded slightly, deliberately picking up a corner of her collar and pursing her lips, staining them with a dazzling, vibrant red.

The smile that curved her lips was full of suggestive provocation. In Cheng Sangluo's eyes, it stirred up a sudden summer storm that was hard to quell and hard to escape.

Cheng Sangluo couldn't escape; before she knew it, she had fallen into those crimson eyes. She couldn't help but sigh inwardly, thinking that the madwoman was as cunning as a fox, and even more alluring than a fox.

She leaned down, her palms resting on the armrests of the executive chair, her other hand caressing her slender waist, the tension in her arm creating beautiful muscle definition.

She held the slender Lin Jin in her arms, inhaling her familiar fragrance, her tone burning and seductive as she asked, "How do you want me to resolve this?"

Lin Jin raised her eyebrows slightly, her smile growing even more uncontrollable. She was also amused by how the puppy's reactions, after tasting the sweetness of their intimate moments, always satisfied her.

She originally wanted the puppy to carry her back to the lounge so she could satisfy her craving, but the puppy's obedience gave rise to wicked and provocative thoughts.

That wicked thought must be crazy enough to fill the loneliness of waiting all these years.

Lin Jin wrapped her arms around the puppy's neck, pulled it close to her chest, and gave a cheerful command: "Right here, do whatever you want."

A look of surprise flashed in Cheng Sangluo's eyes, but it was quickly covered by her usual calm.

Only a madman would be so blatant, doing the most despicable things in the most serious situations; only by not hiding it can one create all the excitement.

"That's a bit much." Cheng Sangluo lowered her head to kiss the red lipstick mark on her collar, muttering to herself, "Everyone in the building is working diligently, but their boss is doing..."

The word "filthy" stuck in Cheng Sangluo's mouth. He didn't continue, lest he anger the petty woman again. Instead, he quietly used his mouth to unbutton the clothes.

Lin Jin's excitement was easily shattered by the person in front of him, which then unleashed an even stronger interest.

"Are you blaming me for being unserious as the boss?" She ran her fingertips along the waist muscles under the T-shirt, gave it a mischievous twist, and scolded, "Then forget it, don't do it."

Cheng Sangluo squinted in pain, but couldn't help grinning. Why did she have to play the hard to get?

Who can't do that?

Cheng Sangluo straightened up, ready to leave, and said, "Fine, I'll listen to Boss Lin. If he says he won't do it, then he won't."

A strong pulling sensation came from her legs, causing her to look down.

Those slender, long legs, wrapped in flowing suit trousers, were now firmly entwined around her thighs.

Like a snake, like a vine, like a tentacle—any description carries an intense, irrepressible sense of passion and desire.

"Did I give you permission to leave?" Lin Jin leaned back, tightened her grip on her foot, and pulled the little dog back, which had been pretending to leave. "Take it off for me, perform well, and you'll get a reward if you serve me well."

Even if Cheng Sangluo is addicted to intimate matters, she would still resist such a shameful practice.

Her face was not just red, but also burning with an unbearable urge to stomp her lips. She stammered, "I...I don't know how...I don't know how to perform like this..."

"Then try to learn. You're trying to please your sugar daddy right now, shouldn't you put in some effort?"

Cheng Sangluo didn't refute it again, but it was impossible to perform.

She quickly pulled off her T-shirt, revealing her healthy tanned skin bathed in golden sunlight, which made her already beautiful muscle lines even more defined.

Lin Jin had always felt that Cheng Sangluo was wild, but couldn't quite put her finger on what made her wild. Now, it seemed like she had the answer.

That eye-catching figure is the foundation; the glowing skin rises and falls with each breath, making it appear even more vibrant. The old scars covering her body are startling, but they also give her a captivating and alluring charm.

Lin Jin rested her chin on one hand, her fingertips gently tracing her lips, her gaze lingering on the beautiful scenery, unwilling to look away, even forgetting to reach out and capture this beauty.

Cheng Sangluo leaned against the desk. Even though they were alone in the room, she still looked around nervously, as if afraid of being spied on.

"You're shy." Lin Jin broke the silence, shattering the puppy's last shred of shame, and added with a laugh, "It's not like this is the first time...we've done this..."

Cheng Sangluo swallowed hard, unable to resist such direct flirting, "But I can treat every time as the first time."

"What a novel line." Lin Jin exclaimed, seemingly quite fond of the line. He leaned forward and pressed his face against the firm abs. "Keep your figure in good shape. If you go out of shape, I'll starve you and won't give you any food."

These words seemed to have a double meaning, and Cheng Sangluo, being clever, naturally understood them.

She placed her hands on the table behind her back, finding the order amusing, and then stroked Lin Jin's hair, twirling it between her fingertips, "Then I'll sneak out to find something to eat."

Lin Jin suddenly raised her head, her eyes filled with a warning, "You dare! If I catch you cheating on me, ha, I'll make you regret it."

Cheng Sangluo suddenly grabbed Lin Jin's back and used the momentum to push him down into the chair. "Are you going to keep talking back to me like this?"

Lin Jin loved this proactive puppy so much that she let her kiss his neck haphazardly, saying, "Then use your mouth...drop the 'mouth'..."

The huge office, with its spacious executive chairs, couldn't even accommodate the intimacy between two people, and their desire overflowed the entire space.

The difference in body shape and height can always create a captivating and mesmerizing feeling.

Cheng Sangluo bent over and embraced Lin Jin, almost drowning the soft body.

She resembled a leopard with glossy black fur, circling her prey as if to hunt it down, yet also harboring a playful, mischievous intent.

That's why she didn't realize that in her intimacy with Lin Jin, she had already revealed her dangerous nature.

Her eyes, gleaming with a wolfish glint, flashed fiercely as she traversed plains and climbed mountain peaks.

My throat was terribly dry, and I was searching for something to quench my thirst.

Lin Jin was engrossed in sucking on her finger.

A feeling of utter powerlessness.

My whole body felt weak.

So limp it can't stand up straight.

She could only slump in the boss's chair, as if melted by the sunlight.

Hiding a puppy under my desk was once a long-cherished dream.

Finally, this ambition was fulfilled.

'Knock knock knock—'

Just as the two were engrossed in their conversation, there was a knock on the office door.

Cheng Sangluo was startled, forgetting where she was. Just as she was about to stand up, she was hit hard on the head.
