Chapter 70
A kiss until they were breathless [Exciting]
The atmosphere in the narrow carriage was quiet but not desolate.
Ambiguity is hard to describe, but it carries a romantic connotation, much like the intimacy we feel right now carries an unseen blush.
Only those who are immersed in it can marvel at how those unfounded colors are not just dazzling, but also dye the rainy night into a colorful black.
The two lay on their sides, separated by a kiss, their warm, moist breaths mingling. The air was filled with the subtle scent of cedar and the clean smell of ordinary soap.
Lin Jin gently bit her lip, hesitating to speak.
Before I love myself, can you love me first?
She longed to ask questions clearly, to receive a response from Cheng Sangluo, and to hear that the object of the word "love" was herself.
It is precisely because of the desire that one is so afraid—afraid of ambiguous answers, and even more afraid of silence that goes unanswered, which could destroy the close relationship that has been painstakingly built.
Rather than being hurt by Cheng Sangluo's habitual rejections, it might be better to keep the answer you've been longing for hidden. Perhaps not revealing it or digging deeper is a better way to protect each other.
So Lin Jin swallowed the problem, holding back a breath she couldn't release, her cheeks puffing out slightly, filled with all the melancholy and unrequited love.
Cheng Sangluo thought of looking away, not wanting to see the madwoman's lips being lightly bitten by her pearly teeth, not wanting to try to figure out what that blush tasted like, and not wanting to fantasize about people who didn't belong to her world.
"I don't want this, I don't want that"—these are all things we subtly and restrainedly desire, largely out of fear of obtaining them. So we deceive ourselves by telling ourselves not to be greedy or have unrealistic expectations.
But her heart was like a tree in a storm, standing firm but swaying and shedding scattered leaves, along with a sense of unease and panic.
Lin Jin's cheek was almost hanging on the edge of the chair back, but she didn't come any closer, just like before when she wanted to kiss him, she struggled to restrain the impulse that was about to burst out.
She was so stubborn, even though the lips she longed for were so close, even though their breaths had long been intertwined, even though getting just a little closer would relieve the weariness of years of waiting.
But she resolutely chose not to take the initiative, staring intently at Cheng Sangluo, her gaze gradually shifting from initial anticipation to unbearable longing, until finally losing that last glimmer of light.
Lin Jin remained alone in her own world, waiting for the person who had entered her heart many years ago. She begged her to hurry up and come in, but in the end, all she seemed to get was disappointment.
Cheng Sangluo searched countless times in that deep pool for the madwoman's thoughts and ideas, but each time he failed because he couldn't figure her out and because her thoughts were so unpredictable.
But tonight, she seemed to have discovered only the tip of the iceberg, such as those deep, dark eyes, which were actually illuminated by light.
For example, those always upturned corners of her eyes, always with a fake smile, are all bluffing disguises, concealing a truth—those dark eyes are incredibly serious whenever they gaze at me, so serious that they only reflect my own image.
Cheng Sang landed in her desolate world and took that step, a step that crossed the chasm-like barrier, crossed the seemingly insurmountable distance, crossed the insignificant gap between the backs of the seats.
She propped herself up on her arms and leaned over Lin Jin, her palms naturally resting on the slender, soft nape of her neck.
The tip of his nose brushed against Lin Jin's cheek, and the rich, calming fragrance filled his nostrils, dispelling all reason.
Her lips, which drew closer little by little, concealed too much hesitation and caution; the closer they got, the more disorganized they became.
Chaos arose from the erratic heartbeat, from the rush of blood to the head, and from the tingling numbness in the fingertips that threatened to rob them of all sensation.
Lin Jin smiled, her eyes half-closed, and slightly raised her chin to welcome the soft-hearted god's visit.
This was probably her final concession, and that concession gave all the courage to those around her.
Cheng Sangluo used his other hand to support her cheek, so that the first tentative kiss could land steadily on those soft lips that he had longed for.
She lowered her eyes, and after a tentative, light touch, she became bolder, applying a little more pressure to the back of Lin Jin's neck, pressing their lips together more tightly, making everything seem more real.
'Haven't you yet experienced the joy of indulging in something new and satisfying?'
Cheng Sangluo wasn't distracted; rather, during the kiss, she unconsciously recalled her conversation with Lin Jin after their first intimate encounter.
Even after countless times of being pressed together, even after each time being so crazy it was astonishing, she still couldn't fully understand what it meant to "taste the sweetness of something new."
Now she finally understands what it truly feels like to want something.
It is an uncontrollable initiative, a dance of tongues that never feels enough, a selfish desire to meld the person in front of you into your very bones.
The kiss, which started as a tentative exploration, gradually turned into a greedy sucking.
Cheng Sangluo poured all the initiative she had been so reluctant to use into her kisses, even with an unprecedented wildness.
She was captivated by the unexpected softness of Lin Jin's lips, and obsessed with the indescribable sweetness of their taste; thus, greed transformed into an aggressive dominance.
For Lin Jin, Cheng Sangluo's embrace never disappointed her; that broad embrace gave her a sense of security and brought a heat that melted everything.
She was enveloped in his embrace, and as the kiss became too intense to contain herself, she naturally wrapped her arms around Cheng Sangluo's neck.
Even though the air was so thin that they could barely breathe, they couldn't bear to separate and could only take in air haphazardly between kisses.
The world sees Lin Jin as dissolute, frivolous, and fickle, but no one knows that beneath her deliberate defamation lies a pure and untainted heart.
She had to conform to the extravagance of the circle, yet amidst all the hugs and kisses, she avoided meaningless intimacy.
It's absurd, isn't it? This woman has such an awkward first kiss, yet Cheng Sangluo portrays this long-awaited first kiss as exceptionally beautiful.
Even though this was her first kiss, she kissed him like a seasoned lover, with the delicate touch of a flower bud within a small space, yet with the wildness of a lone wolf.
The back-and-forth advances and retreats, the brief separation followed by an eager reunion.
Each touch of their tongues intertwines, fueling a deeper longing and an ever-growing intimacy.
"Sang Luo..." It was too dreamlike, and Lin Jin couldn't help but call out softly to confirm that everything was real. But not wanting Wei Liang to stain her lips, she hurriedly took the initiative to meet him.
"I'm here... I've always been here..." Cheng Sangluo responded between kisses, responding to the madwoman's thirst for knowledge, and then haphazardly pressed herself back against that soft, moist surface.
Yes, it's all true.
It turns out that it wasn't just Lin Jin who couldn't bear to part; Cheng Sangluo, who had completely fallen into madness, was also there. Their passionate kiss lasted for so long that no one cared about the passage of time.
Lin Jin casually pulled away Cheng Sangluo's hair tie, and the long hair that fell down in an instant covered their faces, creating a more intimate and ambiguous atmosphere.
When Cheng Sangluo couldn't contain his passion, he would lean over and look at her back, never feeling it was enough, never finding relief from his intoxication.
She was almost in tears, wondering why she felt an unending sense of madness. How could this woman's lips be more hallucinogenic and addictive than poppies?
The more she tried to regain her scattered rationality, the deeper she sank into it, as if trapped in a quagmire, and the result of her struggles was that she could not extricate herself.
Having willingly succumbed to temptation, Lin Jin appeared even more at ease with herself.
She tried her best to respond to Cheng Sangluo's every passionate kiss, and even secretly taught the puppy how to kiss in a way that was both pleasing and deep.
When she's lost in passion, she'll gently bite the puppy's lip, then playfully dodge away when the puppy's tongue explores it.
This is the joy of kissing, like a little game of hide-and-seek.
"No!" Cheng Sangluo raised her head briefly to look away, staring at Lin Jin who looked quite content, and muttered with a hint of resentment, "Don't avoid me."
Looking at the puppy's flustered and eager face, Lin Jin decided to tease its chin with her fingertips, enticingly saying, "You can be a little more domineering~"
Cheng Sangluo was too infatuated. He lowered his head and pressed his lips to the madwoman's again, muttering to himself, "I can't be domineering. I have to be gentle."
Lin Jin was stunned for a moment, as if she had seen an iron tree bloom, and then her eyes slowly curved into a smile amidst her astonishment.
She cupped the puppy's face in her hands and pinched it affectionately, saying, "You're so good~ You really are like an obedient dog~"
"Really?" Cheng Sangluo bit her lip, coaxing her softly, "Not enough kisses are like a heart hanging in the air, neither going up nor down. Don't talk, okay?"
Lin Jin rarely heard this person plead in such a soft voice, so she offered her tongue to pry open his teeth, mumbling, "Since you like kissing so much... why don't you take me home... hide me away... and kiss me slowly..."
“But we still have to go to Kang… hiss…” Before Cheng Sangluo could finish speaking, the crazy woman bit her tongue hard, making her hiss in pain.
Lin Jin grabbed her collar and said forcefully, "What could be more important than our kiss? None of that matters."
Cheng Sangluo did not insist on going to the health and wellness center, as if this arrangement was exactly what she wanted, and she couldn't help but smile deeply.
She held Lin Jin's neck again and kissed the wound that Xu Songheng had scratched.
A thin scab of blood had formed on the wound. When Cheng Sangluo turned her head to kiss it, she looked just like a vampire savoring the sweet, metallic taste of blood.
She had wanted to kiss him tenderly, because she was blaming herself for not protecting Lin Jin.
But when her tongue touched the uneven scab, it gradually became a rubbing sensation, just like when Lin Jin kissed her wound, grinding out a tingling, itchy feeling along with waves of pain.
"Hiss—" Lin Jin hissed, but holding the puppy's head in both hands, she chuckled maniacally, "You're so good at this~"
"You taught me," Cheng Sangluo replied in a muffled voice, her head bowed, her voice thick with the metallic taste of blood.
"You're so clever~" Lin Jin tightened her arms and raised her tense waist. "Keep kissing... I like it... I like your reckless kisses..."
"It's my fault for hurting you..." Cheng Sangluo licked her wound sadly, and softened her kiss. "If I had rushed in sooner, you wouldn't have been hurt."
"Don't blame yourself, little puppy. You've already done so much for me. I was even thinking about how to thank you." Lin Jin stroked Cheng Sangluo's cheek and murmured, "So tonight... I'm your trophy... You can have everything I have..."
Cheng Sangluo braced himself against the car window with one hand, looking up at the beautiful woman with flushed cheeks.
She secretly admired Lin Jin's flirting skills; the way he nodded and half-bitten his lip was so alluring. She couldn't help but lean in for a kiss: "Then...leave all those terrible people and things for after dawn...from now until sunrise...your time is mine...you are mine..."
