Chapter 98

Chapter 98

Oops, you're hurting me!

Cheng Sangluo squatted on the ground, her eyes moist, looking pitifully at the malicious madwoman.

This prickly creature, having concealed its sharpness, suddenly became quite unruly, appearing completely powerless to retaliate despite being bullied.

She pouted, her cheeks puffed out, as if she would burst into tears if Lin Jin bullied her any further.

Lin Jin wasn't swayed by the puppy's adorable appearance; she was in the midst of her excitement and was determined to have some fun with it, at least to reclaim all the joy she hadn't had before and not waste the years she had spent enjoying it alone.

She propped her arms behind her back again, leaned back slightly, and crossed her long, slender legs, the hem of her draped suit trousers swaying with a leisurely ease.

Cheng Sangluo didn't know what to say to appease the petty, crazy woman, so she could only lower her head dejectedly and hug herself even tighter.

Just as she lowered her head, a restless toe brought with it a strong scent of cedar, rubbing against her chin and slowly hooking upwards.

It was as if everything had returned to its starting point, back to the extravagant world of music, champagne bubbles, and laughter, back to that night when everyone was watching her being humiliated.

Lin Jin tilted her head and remained silent, her deep eyes gleaming with a subtle light, as if anticipating Cheng Sangluo's reaction.

She resorted to her old tricks simply to test whether this person could be disciplined by her, and whether he would abandon all his dignity to please her.

Cheng Sangluo, just like before, stiffened her neck and raised her head to meet the madwoman's somewhat blatant gaze. Even the force with which she grabbed her ankle hadn't changed; she still subtly exerted force, causing the troublemaker to hiss in pain.

Unlike her previous act of resistance, her response was tinged with a hidden savagery in her eyes, subtly kissing her wicked lover with her gaze.

Lin Jin gave a signature fake smile, her bright red lips trembling slightly. She casually licked her slightly dry lips with her tongue, her desire hidden in the subtle movements.

She gently bit her shirt collar, deliberately hissing in a coquettish voice, "Sweetie, you're hurting me~"

Cheng Sangluo was easily swayed, and instead covered that slender ankle with her hand in front of her nose and smelled it deeply, her wet tongue lingering on it, her expression becoming increasingly infatuated, as if using this method to ease the pain she had caused herself.

This time she was very clear-headed, knowing what she was doing and remembering every detail of their interaction at the pool party. But she wasn't angry; in fact, she felt a little regretful, regretting that Lin Jin had acted that way back then, probably thinking of flirting as well.

This person is quite good at self-brainwashing.

"I did it on purpose..." the puppy murmured in reply, kissing me earnestly, capturing all the tenderness in that small world, "to teach you a lesson, so you won't bully me like that... but..."

The puppy only told half the story, leaving the restless person to ponder the rest of it.

After saying that, she grabbed Lin Jin's foot and put it on her shoulder, bent over and stood up, approaching the table with the air of a hungry wolf pouncing on its prey.

Lin Jin slumped back onto the table, biting the collar of his shirt even deeper into her mouth, her smile growing more cunning as she deliberately made things difficult: "Do you want to do it with me, or with the person in your dream?"

Cheng Sangluo, with his strong back bent, was about to deliver a kiss to silence those tantalizing lips, but was stopped by a sudden question.

She gazed earnestly into her lover's shimmering eyes and honestly replied, "I just want to do what we should do with Lin Jin."

Lin Jin was very satisfied with this answer, letting out a cool, alluring laugh. She wrapped her arms around the dog's neck and urged, "Then what are you standing there for? Tell me honestly, have you ever dreamed of doing things you shouldn't be doing here with that shadow?"

"No," Cheng Sangluo answered firmly, turning her head to kiss Lin Jin's ear, and chuckled softly, "You've reminded me. Since the time, place, and people are all in place, why don't you grant me this dream?"

"I humiliated you with my feet again today, why aren't you angry?" Lin Jin twisted her neck comfortably, her fingertips stroking the puppy's neck where she had bitten it before. Even though there were no teeth marks left, it still bore her unique mark.

Cheng Sangluo took her finger and put it to her lips, sucking on it as if she were eating a delicious lollipop.

She shook her head vigorously, mumbling, "What's there to be angry about when my wife bullies me?"

Lin Jin loved acting like a prankster, a puppy trying to please her. She pouted and said, "Hold me...don't leave my arms empty...hurry up...or I'll punish you by making you hold back your desire..."

Cheng Sangluo smiled and wrapped one arm around her waist, about to kiss her passionately, when a nonchalant voice suddenly came from the doorway of the reception room.

"Lin Jin? You...uh..." Jin Manni pushed open the door and entered, her eyes filled with the sight of the two men in tattered clothes, resembling brothels, which made her bite her tongue for a moment.

After watching Wei Lian leave, she waited for Lin Jin to come to the office, but he didn't come. So she followed him around to see what he was doing, and ended up stumbling upon such a sensual scene.

Cheng Sangluo turned around and looked at the strange woman who had suddenly appeared at the door. She felt as embarrassed as if she had been stripped naked and immediately panicked.

She tried to pull herself back, but found that Lin Jin's legs were still draped over her shoulders. Holding on was awkward, but separating them was also awkward, so she could only remain frozen in that position.

Lin Jin, seemingly unfazed, reached out and pressed the puppy's head, tucking its face into her arms. Her gaze fell on Jin Manni's face, a half-smile playing on her lips as she scolded, "You didn't even knock before coming in."

"I...I'll go to the office and wait for you...you guys continue..." Jin Manni twitched her lips, her face darkening, and quickly slammed the door shut as she fled. Anyone unaware of the situation would think she was the one caught in the act.

Cheng Sangluo's burning desire instantly vanished. Now, buried in Lin Jin's chest, she let out a series of wailing cries: "Ah—this is so embarrassing—ah—how can I live like this—!"

"Hahaha..." Lin Jinshu laughed happily, holding the puppy's head and commanding, "What are you shy about? This place is all mine. I can do whatever I want. Continue."

"No, no... I can't take it anymore..." Cheng Sangluo said with a bitter face, pulling away from his wife's warm embrace.

She's like a wilted eggplant now, utterly listless, constantly muttering that she's no good anymore.

"How can you not admit you're not good enough? You're quite capable~" Lin Jin hooked her thigh around the puppy's waist and teased him for a while, but her interest was dampened and she didn't want to continue. She could only sit up dejectedly. "Do you want to come to my office with me, or wait here for me to finish my work and come back to pick you up?"

Cheng Sangluo turned and walked to the frosted glass wall, repeatedly banging her head against it while muttering to herself, "I'm so ashamed to face anyone. It would be so embarrassing to go there. What should I do... If someone sees me... It's so shameful..."

Lin Jin walked behind her and wrapped her arms around her strong waist, then gently rubbed her face against her back, calling out in a sweet, coquettish voice, "But if you don't carry me to the office, I'll have to walk such a long way by myself, and my injured foot will hurt a lot. Don't you feel sorry for me when my foot hurts?"

Cheng Sangluo couldn't stand being made to walk around like a chicken, so she turned around and picked her up in her arms, her face flushed red. "No way, I told you to use a wheelchair, but you wouldn't listen. I'll carry you over instead."

"Aren't you ashamed now?" Lin Jin pinched the puppy's nose. To avoid embarrassing her, he could only sigh and say, "Alright, we've finished our business. Let's go straight back to the hotel. I'll give you the rest of the day."

"Is this okay? Why do I get the feeling that I'm some kind of wicked concubine Daji causing chaos in the court?" Cheng Sangluo let out a funny scream, but when he heard his wife say that the rest of the time was for her, he immediately changed his tune and said, "Well... it's not a bad thing to cause trouble occasionally. Your family is so big that it can withstand such a lot of trouble, right?"

Lin Jin was very fond of it, pinching the puppy's cheeks and not letting go, pampering it: "Your chattering is so cute, of course I have to pamper you properly, my enchanting concubine - Goji Berry (dog)."

"Goji berries?" Cheng Sangluo was both amused and exasperated. What a strange and unusual name.

"This dog is not that wolfberry, my dear, you can judge for yourself~"

*

The Lin Group.

Chairman's Office.

Lin Sheng, with one hand tucked into his trousers, leaned against his desk, fiddling with an unlit cigar.

He stared thoughtfully at the office buildings outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, lost in thought. His secretary led the guest over and called him several times before finally bringing him back from his reverie.

Lin Sheng turned around at the sound and looked at the exquisitely made-up Shu Wan. He then gave a cold smile and asked, "President Shu, would you like something to drink?"

Shu Wan, carrying a small handbag, went straight to the reception chair and declined the other party's hospitality: "No need, I have a meeting waiting for me at the company. I'll leave after I finish talking."

Lin Sheng turned and sat down in his executive chair, took a document from the drawer beside him, and pushed it in front of her. "Thank you to President Shu's company for helping with the IPO evaluation. It was thanks to them that Lin's Group was able to reach the final crucial moment. This is just a small token of my appreciation. I hope you like it."

Like Lin Jin, Shu Wan's group is a capital enterprise that invests and operates. The difference is that her company is more like an investment bank, which is why Lin Sheng was able to ride on her coattails and smoothly push Lin's Group to go public.

Shu Wan glanced at him and knew without guessing what the document contained.

Out of respect, she slowly picked up the document and flipped through it, scoffing lightly, "I thought President Lin would be very generous, at least rounding it up, but I didn't expect it to be only 5%, isn't that a bit stingy?"

Since it's a cooperative relationship, it should naturally be mutually beneficial, but clearly, Shu Wan is very dissatisfied with this outcome.

As promised, Lin Sheng offered five percent of the shares as a thank-you gift, although the exact amount was not agreed upon at the time, which can be considered as taking advantage of a loophole.

Overall, however, he did keep his promise.

Of course, such a gift is not as simple as it seems on the surface; it hides many secrets.

Firstly, he kept his promise.

Secondly, this strengthened his bond with Shu Wan, so that if any financial problems arose in the future, the other party's capital would be a temporary lifeline.

Lin Sheng lit a cigar, took a deep drag, and exhaled wisps of smoke. He smiled and explained, "Mr. Shu has witnessed the scale of Lin's Group. I'll add at most 3% as a token of my sincerity. I also hope that we can achieve long-term cooperation. I won't forget your kindness if I make investments in the future. You've already made enough money in this business, so don't be too greedy."

"Alright, let's sign the agreement when we have time. As for your confrontation with Lin Jin, I don't want to get too involved. After all, Senyao Group is there, and I don't want to make enemies." Shu Wan was very clear about the rules of business competition. After the conversation, she prepared to get up and leave.

Lin Sheng flicked his cigarette ash, feigning casual conversation, and asked, "President Shu must be very busy lately. You probably don't know about Lin Jin and Cheng Sangluo getting their marriage certificate yet, do you?"

Shu Wan frowned slightly, then raised her eyelids, probably trying to hide the fleeting emotion of concern.

She shrugged indifferently, "What does this have to do with me? This is a good thing. I wonder if your sister will invite you to her wedding."

Lin Sheng rested his arm, holding a cigar, on the armrest, partially obscuring his face. He narrowed his eyes as he stared at Shu Wan. "Don't you think things have been a bit too calm lately? There's always an eerie calm before a storm. But there's nothing to worry about. Lin's is mine now, and it's listed on the stock exchange. I doubt she can stir up any trouble."

Shu Wan pursed her lips, glanced down at the draft equity agreement, and said, "You're very shrewd. I hope you can keep being this shrewd. Here's a piece of advice: your opponents are even more shrewd than you, so you can't be arrogant in your dealings with people."
