Chapter 93
The next morning
The moonlight tonight is hazy and indistinct, the true culprit that tempts the tides.
The newlyweds, experiencing the sweetness of new love, passionately and earnestly entangled in a ardent kiss on the soft couch.
The surging waves rose and fell amidst joyful chants, completely overwhelming their reason and drowning them in the silent latter half of the night.
Lin Jin's forehead was covered with a thin layer of hot sweat. Her limbs were too weak to hold onto the tall figure in front of her. Dissatisfied with the brief emptiness in her embrace, she simply pleaded in a soft voice, "Hold me."
Cheng Sangluo was tidying up the messy blankets when he heard his wife's soft greeting, so he quickly grabbed the pillows at his feet and put them back in their place.
Not wanting to keep Lin Jin, who was eagerly awaiting a hug, from waiting any longer, she simply put her arm around his thin shoulder and leaned against the pillow with a slight inertia.
Lin Jin squinted comfortably, pressing his ear against her chest, habitually listening to the strong, pounding heartbeat.
Countless times I listened before, all to confirm whether this heart truly belonged to me.
Tonight was different. She finally stopped obsessing over whether it was real or whether she had it, and simply listened, wearily and simply.
To her, Cheng Sangluo's heartbeat was so unique, a melodious lullaby, and a love confession that needed no words.
But beneath the surface of peace, Lin Jin harbored even greater greed.
She longed to ask Cheng Sangluo: Do you love me? The question lingered on her lips, but she swallowed it back down due to her uncertain fear.
Lin Jin lacks a sense of security and is deeply suspicious. After receiving clear affection, she becomes obsessed with gaining even deeper feelings.
Cheng Sangluo stroked her hair incessantly, occasionally pinching her thin chin and asking for a light kiss, "Go to sleep."
The most memorable moments are the kisses after a passionate encounter; the unspoken interaction soothes the turmoil while stirring up restless hearts.
Lin Jin shed her usual bluster, her expression softening, and her tone gentle: "But I don't want to close my eyes."
She really didn't want this loving moment to end so abruptly, so she looked up and gazed into the puppy's eyes, her gaze filled with reluctance and lingering fondness for the pleasure.
Cheng Sangluo changed to a more comfortable hugging position so that the person in her arms could lean more securely, and soothed her in a calm voice: "I'm here in your dreams too. I won't go anywhere and will always be with you."
"This feeling is even more unreal than a dream," Lin Jin complained softly, lightly brushing the puppy's lips with the tip of her nose. Perhaps she was too infatuated, as she buried her face in the crook of her neck and said in a muffled voice, "I'm afraid that when I close my eyes and open them again, it will all be just a dream, and you will still be the stingy you."
Cheng Sangluo frowned slightly. She had never paid attention to Lin Jin's feelings before, but now she realized that this woman, beneath her fierce facade, was a vulnerable woman who was afraid of losing what she had.
She nodded and kissed her lover's forehead, trying to dispel the feelings of insecurity, then traced the kiss down the bridge of his nose to his lips.
Even Lin Jin has her breaking point. There's no need for teasing with fingertips; a kiss alone can quell the turmoil that has just subsided.
"Sang Luo..." she murmured between her lips, "Baby...no more...I'm so tired..."
Cheng Sangluo tilted her cheek and, taking advantage of a break in the kiss, deliberately whispered teasingly, "Don't you want it anymore, or can't you have it?"
"If you keep going on like this... I'm going to faint..." Lin Jin rarely showed such a wronged look, as if she was blaming the puppy for being young and impetuous and not knowing his own limits, or as if she was blaming herself for being too old and past her prime to even satisfy her lover's demands?
"I was just teasing you." Cheng Sangluo grinned at her, then rolled over and pulled her into the blanket. "Sleep peacefully."
The two embraced each other peacefully, kissing each other again and again as they drifted off to sleep.
Lin Jin was so tired that her eyelids were almost too heavy to keep open. She mumbled sleepily, "You still haven't told me... how you found this place..."
Cheng Sangluo teased Xiaotaojian intermittently, while passionately kissing her lover's ear.
Before drowsiness overcame her, she earnestly explained, "I want to see you, and no one can stop me or make things difficult for me."
*
The young couple slept very soundly, showing no signs of waking up until the sun was high in the sky. Finally, it was Secretary Zhou's knocking on the door that disturbed their sleep.
Lin Jin frowned, her eyes tightly closed, and let out a few impatient groans before burying her face deep into the puppy's embrace.
Cheng Sangluo, still half-asleep, admired his wife's reluctant-to-leave-bed appearance and couldn't bear to disturb her. He could only pull the blanket over her and tighten his arms around her, coaxing her softly, "Sleep a little longer."
After a moment of silence, she prepared to pull her arm away and go to the door to say hello to Secretary Zhou. However, Lin Jin in her arms was too clingy. With the slightest movement, he clung to her body using both his hands and feet.
"I won't leave..." Lin Jin's eyes remained closed, her voice sounding hoarse, probably from being woken up repeatedly last night. "I don't want to let you go..."
Cheng Sangluo whispered in her ear, "We can't keep Secretary Zhou waiting outside. I'll go and talk to her so you can rest for another hour, okay?"
Lin Jin finally opened his eyes, returning to his arrogant state, and ordered, "I'll give you thirty seconds."
Cheng Sangluo was used to her temper, so she didn't feel uncomfortable. She bent down and kissed her forehead, coaxing the insecure woman enough, before getting off the bed.
Looking at the clothes scattered all over the floor, she turned around and glanced at Lin Jin, whose shoulders were half exposed, and her face instantly flushed with a shy blush.
Lin Jin propped her head up with one hand, her sleepy eyes half-closed, a strand of hair tugging at the corner of her lips, creating a captivating and alluring charm.
She already possessed a delicate face, and with a slight glint in her eyes, she became as alluring as a seductive fox.
Cheng Sangluo quickly turned her head, picking up her clothes from the ground while haphazardly tying the belt of her bathrobe.
When she opened the door, she saw Secretary Zhou holding two cups of coffee and gave an embarrassed chuckle: "Good morning, Secretary Zhou."
"Did you sleep well last night?" Zhou Ran's concern was merely superficial; she then focused her attention on the doorway. "Is President Lin awake yet?"
Cheng Sangluo subconsciously took a step closer, blocking her view, and took the two cups of coffee. "She slept well, but she drank too much last night and needs to rest a little longer. Why don't you come over an hour later?"
Zhou Ran said with difficulty, "Ms. Cheng, could you please keep an eye on the time for me? President Lin has a very important meeting today, and we can't let it drag on too late."
"Okay." Cheng Sangluo thought that thirty seconds had long passed, and wanted to quickly make excuses and get the person away.
Fortunately, Secretary Zhou is very good at reading people's expressions and handling matters, so she doesn't have to put in much effort.
"Then I won't disturb your rest." Zhou Ran glanced behind Cheng Sangluo and quickly closed the door behind her.
Cheng Sangluo was holding a cup of coffee in one hand. Before she could turn around, a pair of slightly cool fingertips had already slipped into her robe, tickling her waist with a tingling sensation.
Lin Jin walked barefoot across the cashmere carpet, like a cat that made no sound.
She hugged the little dog with its back turned, deliberately breathing warm, damp air onto the back of its neck, and complained, "How should I punish you for making me wait so long?"
Cheng Sangluo held the cup high with both hands, turned around smoothly, and before his wife could prepare her flirtatious moves, he preemptively kissed her neck. "You have one hour. You can punish her however you want."
A flicker of surprise crossed Lin Jin's eyes, but she quickly put on a sly, fake smile.
She grabbed the puppy's clothes with both hands and pulled it forcefully in front of her, forcing the slender woman to hunch her back.
Once the effects of the alcohol wore off, the woman reverted to her usual wicked nature, saying, "Carry me to the bathroom, I want more."
Cheng Sangluo put down her cup, a look of great interest on her face, and picked up her lover, whose face was full of desire, saying, "I couldn't ask for more."
In an instant, the sound of clear, cool water came from the bathroom.
Lin Jin slumped onto the marble washbasin, her injured foot resting on Cheng Sangluo's broad shoulder.
She laughed heartily and exclaimed, "You little rascal...you're so good at this..."
Cheng Sangluo was busy responding to sweet words: "My wife teaches well, and I learn quickly."
"Hmm...it seems you'll be pulling even more...tricks in the future..." Lin Jin mumbled incoherently, then paused for a moment before calling out, "I've always loved your figure, especially your waist, do you know why?"
The puppy, preoccupied with its own problems, could only ask in bewilderment, "Why?"
Lin Jin, utterly shameless, laughed even more arrogantly, her breathing quickening: "Broad shoulders and a narrow waist, it's not just about looking good in clothes."
"Don't you know how strong your back is?" She pinched the puppy's waist with her nail, her words becoming increasingly explicit: "Just a slight arch, and you could kill me!"
......
Lin Jin sat in front of the dressing table, applying makeup and drawing her eyebrows, in a mood as good as if she had just finished a lucrative project worth hundreds of millions.
Waking up and then engaging in a passionate and enjoyable intimate moment is like drinking a reviving drink after a hangover; it won't make you feel tired, but rather refreshed and invigorated.
Cheng Sangluo held her cold coffee, leaned to the side and took a small sip. Her gaze fell on her lover's face and she couldn't look away.
It's unclear whether she was savoring the coffee or admiring Lin Jin's breathtakingly beautiful face.
Lin Jin, while putting on her pearl earring, glanced at the fascinated puppy and asked, "Am I that pretty?"
Cheng Sangluo bent down and brought her face closer to examine it more closely. She couldn't help but smile and exclaimed repeatedly, "Beautiful, beautiful, extremely beautiful!"
"You're so glib." Lin Jin scolded him irritably, but secretly she was pleased, thinking that the little rascal had finally figured it out and knew not to spoil the fun at a time like this.
"How long are you going to the meeting? I'm so lonely being all alone in this empty house." Cheng Sangluo also had his selfish moments. He had finally seen his wife and of course didn't want to be separated from her for too long, so he pitifully pleaded, "Can't you take me with you?"
Seeing that Lin Jin didn't agree, she squatted down and kowtowed her head on her wife's knee, saying ingratiatingly, "I promise I won't disturb your work. You can put me in any room you like, and I'll just sit here and wait without eating or drinking."
Lin Jin pursed her lips, her face showing reluctance.
She also wanted to bring Cheng Sangluo along, but since her trips these days were all related to her own plans, it wasn't the right time to discuss it openly, so she couldn't bring the clingy little dog to Zhongyao Technology for the time being.
Seeing that she remained silent, Cheng Sangluo had no choice but to sit down on the carpet, looking utterly aggrieved: "Fine, fine, you're just going to take advantage of me and then forget about me. Anyway, even if we got the marriage certificate, you didn't intend to make our relationship public. So what if you want to keep us like this?"
"A dog hidden in a golden house?" Lin Jin muttered incredulously, tilting his head to examine the sulking dog.
She found that this person's sudden change of heart was quite unexpected, and she wondered where his former aloofness had gone.
Unable to resist, she smiled and ruffled the puppy's head, offering a plausible explanation: "Because of a confidentiality agreement, I can't take you with me, but I'll come back to be with you as soon as the meeting is over, okay?"
To be honest, Lin Jin had already given Cheng Sangluo a lot of face. Given her decisive and uncompromising nature, no one else would have received such patient treatment.
Cheng Sangluo pouted, clutching her rumbling stomach, and retorted, "What am I supposed to do when I'm hungry? You can't expect a horse to run without feeding it."
Really? I've been working so hard since last night, and I still haven't had a hot meal.
She's not a perpetual motion machine!
"You sneaked in here, causing the entire hotel's security to mobilize to catch you. I need to have Secretary Zhou explain. Someone will bring you meal vouchers later. You can go to the restaurant for the buffet, or I can arrange room service to bring the food over, okay?"
As she spoke, Lin Jin cupped Cheng Sangluo's face and gave her a hard kiss on the forehead.
She glanced at the bright red lip print on the puppy's forehead, looking adorably silly, and said, "You're a good boy~"
