Gray cat

Gray cat

Because of what happened at noon, Gu Cijiang felt unhappy the whole day and didn't even sleep well during his nap.

He was inevitably a little tired during the afternoon class, so he didn't eat dinner and instead lay on the table to catch up on his sleep.

During this time, everyone either goes to eat or plays ball on the playground. There are not many people in the classroom, so you don’t have to worry about being woken up when you sleep.

Gu Cijiang slept for a while and felt better. When he woke up, several people had returned to the classroom one after another.

He left his seat and went to the bathroom to wash his face to clear his mind. When he returned to the classroom, he saw a group of people gathered in the middle of the classroom, all excitedly whispering about something.

Maybe there's some fresh gossip going on in school? Gu Cijiang thought.

He was not interested in these and was about to go back to his seat to do his homework when he heard someone calling his name.

"Hey, Gu Cijiang!"

Li Xinran was also in the crowd. When he saw him, he waved and said, "Come here, there's a cute kitten!"

cat?

Gu Cijiang's eyes lit up, and his bad mood was swept away by this sudden surprise. He stood up and walked over quickly to join the group looking at the kitten.

There was indeed a cat hiding under the table. Its fur was gray, and its eyes were a rare heterochromia: one blue, the other silver. Everyone loved it so much that Li Xinran even took out her phone to take a picture, not afraid of the teacher finding out and confiscating it.

Jiang Xiaosong touched the gray cat curiously and couldn't help saying, "This cat is too thin. There is not much meat on its body. I can feel bones when I touch it."

Upon hearing this, Gu Cijiang also squatted down and touched the cat. It was indeed very thin, and its fur was a little tangled. It looked like a stray cat.

Someone suggested: "Should we feed it something? I brought some beef jerky, will it be able to eat it?"

Gu Cijiang said: "The salt content is too high, cats can't eat it..."

Speaking of food, this reminded him. Gu Cijiang returned to his seat, found a sausage from his schoolbag, walked over, unwrapped it, and fed it to the kitten bit by bit.

Li Xinran asked, "Hey? I don't think I've seen this sausage in the supermarket before."

Gu Cijiang said: "I have a cat at home, and I bought sausages specifically for cats. I also keep some in my bag when I go out in case I encounter stray cats."

Li Xinran exclaimed: "Wow, so careful!"

Gu Cijiang smiled and fed the cat the sausage in his hand bit by bit.

After the little gray cat had its fill, it wagged its tail leisurely a few times and then lay motionless under the table.

Jiang Xiaosong stroked his chin and thought for a while, then suddenly asked, "Hey, isn't this the seat of Emperor Zhou? She hasn't come back yet? What if the cat poops on her seat?"

Zhou Tianzi wasn't really called Zhou Tianzi. This classmate had an interesting name. Her original name was Zhou Tian, so people derived many nicknames from her, such as Weekend, Weekend, and Holiday. Zhou Tianzi, because it sounded so loud, became the recognized best nickname.

Gu Cijiang looked at her speechlessly.

Li Xinran also stopped taking pictures and complained: "Jiang Xiaosong, could you please stop being such a spoiler?"

Several students tried to lure the cat out, but they didn't know what good things were on Zhou Tian's seat. The gray cat had set its sights on this place and refused to move.

When Zhou Tian returned, someone shouted with a smile: "Emperor Zhou, someone has come to pay tribute to you!"

Zhou Tian was still a little confused. She muttered, "What are you doing behind my back again?" while walking towards her seat.

Unfortunately, the situation didn't go as expected. Zhou Tian wasn't excited or happy when he saw the cat. Instead, he jumped back in fear, took several steps, and shouted, "Fuck him! Who gave me this cat?"

Li Xinran said: "What are you doing? The cat is so cute."

Zhou Tian looked a little overwhelmed: "I don't care if it's cute or not, I'm allergic to cat hair! Go away, I'm going to castrate you, don't come over here! I'm not a cat toy!"

When the gray cat saw Zhou Tian, it was like a prince seeing the emperor. It stopped sleeping and being lazy, and pounced on the other party with all four legs, scaring Zhou Tian so much that he ran around the classroom.

Fortunately, Li Xinran was quick-witted and quickly grabbed the cat's tail and held it in his arms, saving Zhou Tian from having to seek refuge outside the classroom.

Jiang Xiaosong sat down at Zhou Tian's seat and searched around, finding a bottle of perfume. She looked carefully and said loudly, "Okay, case solved, Zhou Tianzi, why did you put catnip in your desk pocket?"

Zhou Tian stood as far away from the cat as possible and said in confusion, "What catnip? That's the mint perfume I bought. I thought I'd spray some to keep me awake when I feel sleepy."

Jiang Xiaosong said: "Then you probably bought the wrong one. Mint is different from catnip. This one has no effect on humans, but it can make cats excited."

Zhou Tian said with a bitter face: "This is really an unexpected disaster for me. Why does this perfume smell bland? I thought I bought a fake."

She glanced at her seat with a bit of worry: "I definitely can't sit in this seat anymore. Who's willing to switch with me?"

Jiang Xiaosong said: "Anyway, I'm sitting here. My seat is far from here. You can sit over there."

The sadness on Zhou Tian's face disappeared instantly, and she smiled and said, "Thank you. I'll treat you to dinner tomorrow."

Li Xinran raised the cat in her hand and asked, "Where should we put the cat?"

Jiang Xiaosong greeted Zhou Tian, sprayed catnip perfume several times under the table, and said, "Keep it here."

Li Xinran's deskmate couldn't help but say, "This cat is so dirty, and it will easily affect our studies if it stays in the classroom. You should throw it out right away."

Jiang Xiaosong rolled his eyes and retorted bluntly: "This cat is far away from you, you don't have to worry so much."

The classmate choked when he heard this, but didn't dare to say anything. He could only flip through the book loudly to express his dissatisfaction.

All the classmates in the class were very curious about the cat. Although Zhou Tian was not interested in it, she did not spoil everyone's fun. As long as the cat didn't get close to her, everything would be fine.

Seeing that the evening self-study class was about to start, Gu Cijiang returned to his seat and reminded Jiang Xiaosong: "Be careful, don't let the teacher find out."

Jiang Xiaosong smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'm very good at hiding cats!"

The head teacher came to today's evening study session. As soon as Wang Meixin entered the classroom, she noticed something was wrong.

She glanced at the bastards below and sneered, "What are you all doing? Look at me, what good are you doing?"

Everybody was laughing, and the students in the front row were telling lies more fluently than anyone else.

"It's just that the cafeteria made some particularly delicious dishes today, and I enjoyed the meal."

"Teacher, your outfit today is really trendy. Can you send me the link?"

"I made several three-pointers playing basketball this afternoon. I was so excited!"

Wang Meixin glanced at the students suspiciously, but couldn't find any clues about their behavior. She could only warn them: "Behave yourself."

The gray cat's excitement over the catnip wore off, and it quietly crawled under the table to rest. Jiang Xiaosong used his schoolbag and his two feet to encircle the cat to prevent it from suddenly running away.

The students around would look in the direction of the cat from time to time, with smiles on their faces that they couldn't hide.

There were a few people who couldn't hide their secrets and couldn't help but laugh as they watched.

Wang Meixin slammed the table and scolded, "What are you doing? Where are you all looking? What's wrong? Jiang Xiaosong has something on his face... Wait a minute, Jiang Xiaosong, weren't you sitting in the first row? Who told you to change seats?"

Jiang Xiaosong said, "Teacher, I have a question I want to ask the monitor."

The class monitor sits next to Zhou Tian’s seat.

Wang Mei thought to herself, "Next time, tell us in advance before changing seats. If everyone does this, evening study will be a mess!"

Jiang Xiaosong quickly responded with an "ah".

Wang Meixin added, "Alright, study hard. If I find anyone not paying attention to their studies again, come up to me and study!"

With the head teacher's admonition and everyone's excitement having died down, the second half of the evening study session went smoothly. Everyone did their homework and showed no obvious emotions.

Until a long and rhythmic snoring broke the silence.

Everyone paused.

Wang Meixin raised her head in disbelief, glanced around the class, and asked, "Who's snoring?"

Several students subconsciously looked towards Jiang Xiaosong's position.

Jiang Xiaosong glanced at the gray cat at his feet with a headache, thinking to himself, you slept soundly, leaving me alone to deal with the teacher's questioning.

Wang Meixin finally came to her senses. Considering the various abnormalities that had just occurred during the evening study session, she walked down from the podium and towards Jiang Xiaosong.

"What do you have here..."

Jiang Xiaosong used both feet to push the cat out from under the table. The gray cat was awakened by her action and smelled the scent of a stranger, so it meowed and rushed out from under the seat.

Wang Meixin was startled and took a step back reflexively.

The gray cat rushed out smoothly and hid under the bookcase in the corner of the classroom.

The students around him exclaimed in surprise.

Wang Meixin came to her senses, feeling both angry and amused. She pointed at the group of idiots in front of her and scolded, "I was wondering why everyone was so active today. It turns out they were waiting for me!"

Seeing that the teacher was not really angry, everyone started laughing.

Wang Meixin patted Jiang Xiaosong's head lightly and scolded him, "You bastard, why don't you find a way to get rid of that cat?"

Jiang Xiaosong begged: "Teacher, the cat is so cute, can't you let it stay a little longer?"

Wang Meixin thought: "It's a stray cat after all. What if it has parasites or viruses? It would be very dangerous. I know you like it, but there must be a limit to your love."

Li Xinran's deskmate couldn't help but say, "I told them the same thing, but they didn't listen."

Jiang Xiaosong compromised. She got up from her seat, walked to the cabinet and tried to call the kitten out.

But the cat was smart enough to know that the people outside were trying to drive it away, so it refused to say anything, not even catnip.

Wang Meixin tried to push the bookcase open, but the cat was right next to the cabinet and followed it wherever it moved, so it was no use.

Class 2 was in an uproar now, and no one had the heart to do their homework. The brave students joined in the cat-catching game, while the timid ones sat in their seats and kept an eye on the situation behind them.

The noise even attracted the neighboring teacher, Teacher Jiang, who came to the back door and asked curiously, "What are your class doing?"

Wang Meixin thought: "Don't mention it, these bastards in my class have done something bad. I don't know where they got a cat from, and it's been hiding under the cabinet and won't leave!"

A class of students also noticed the commotion. The students in the front row all craned their necks to watch. Some of them overheard the conversation between the two homeroom teachers and excitedly shouted to the back, "Cat! A cat has entered their class!"

Now the class next door was also in an uproar.
