"Oh my, everyone is so excited, what good news is going on?"

Chen Yuan, clutching a cup of milk tea, heard laughter emanating from inside the classroom before even entering. Normally, she would have scolded them long ago, but today, she was in a good mood, so her temper softened considerably. Once she sat down on the podium, she was in the mood to joke with the students.

Lin Yue said happily: "Yes...Hey teacher, why are you drinking milk tea today?"

Although Chen Yuan was only in his early thirties, his habits resembled those of middle-aged and elderly people. He loved to drink chrysanthemum and wolfberry tea in an enamel cup. He had no interest in high-calorie foods like chocolate and milk tea, and his snacks were usually bland snacks like sunflower seeds and peanuts.

Chen Yuan said: "Oh, this, He Qingtian."

She waved her hand, signaling the other person to come over.

He Qingtian walked forward in confusion. Chen Yuan smiled and pointed at the cup of milk tea: "I bought it for you. Have a drink."

He Qingtian scratched his head, thanked him a little embarrassedly, and returned to his seat with the milk tea.

Lin Yue glanced at it enviously: "I want it too..."

Chen Yuan raised his eyebrows and said, "Okay, I'll buy it for you next time if you spend 700."

Lin Yue pursed his lips: "Can't you change the conditions?"

Chen Yuan rolled his eyes at her: "If you have no ambition, can't you just say 'Next time the milk tea will definitely be for me'?"

Lin Yue: "Teacher, I know myself very well."

The people around couldn't help but laugh out loud.

A student in the front row asked: "Teacher, have you seen the results?"

Chen Yuan said: "Well, the test results are pretty good this time..."

The classmates were slightly agitated when they heard this, and they all stretched their necks for fear of missing a word.

Chen Yuan glanced at them and stopped talking: "Alright, do your homework well, and wait for your class teacher to notify you of your grades."

Everyone was discouraged after hearing this. Some people were still unwilling to give up and wanted to ask a few more questions, but Chen Yuan threatened them by saying, "You have so much free time, so I'll give you more homework."

By the end of evening study, there was still no news about the results, except for Jiang Xiaosong's report. Everyone gave up their attempts to find out and went back to bed.

It was not until the next morning self-study that the students had completely forgotten about their grades after a night out. Just as they were dozing off, Teacher Jiang came into the classroom with the report card.

An sharp-eyed classmate saw it and quickly told everyone around him about his discovery. As the story spread from one person to another, even the classmate who was taking a nap on the table sat up straight.

Teacher Jiang smiled and said, "The results came out yesterday afternoon, but I saved them for this morning. I said yesterday you wouldn't be in the mood to study, but now that I've told you, look, aren't you perked up?"

Everyone burst into laughter when they heard this.

The report cards were distributed quickly. As soon as He Qingtian received his report card, people came around to look at it.

The girl at the back table propped herself up on the table with her arms and strained to peer over. Even though she was mentally prepared, she was still shocked by the other person's score: "716! Class monitor, your score is even higher than last year's provincial champion!"

He Qingtian didn't mind others knowing her grades, so she had no qualms when discussing them with her classmates.

After learning the specific scores, the crowd was in an uproar again. If it weren't for the morning self-study session, everyone would have probably crowded in to take a look.

Lin Yue said: "Chinese 142, Math 150, English 145, Liberal Arts 279... How did you get these scores?"

The student at the back desk rubbed his chin and analyzed, "Actually, it's not surprising when you think about it. I've kept track of the class monitor's grades, and his total score has always hovered around 680. It's mainly because his English is so poor, he only scores a little over 120 each time. There's a lot of room for improvement."

Chen Shan was shocked. "You remember... so much detail."

The person behind him said, "Of course. I remember that this is the fifth time the class monitor has gotten a perfect score in math... Huh?!"

A hand reached out from behind, pressed on the shoulder of the person sitting behind her and pushed her back into her seat.

The student at the back desk turned around bewilderedly and saw Teacher Jiang looking at her with a smile: "Well said. I just realized that you are quite talented in this area. Your analysis is more detailed than that of us teachers. The only shortcoming is that it would be better if you could analyze it after class."

The person at the back table chuckled twice, then quickly covered his mouth, indicating that he would stop talking.

Teacher Jiang walked up to the podium and gave a brief summary of the exam: "This time the questions were easier than usual... not that much easier, actually. But everyone's scores were definitely higher than we expected. Each subject teacher will probably talk about the results later, so I'll just talk about the overall scores. Guess what our class average score was this time?"

Lin Yue raised his hands and dreamed big.

"Seven hundred and five!"

The people around burst out laughing.

Teacher Jiang held his forehead helplessly and said, "We should also be realistic when making assumptions."

"Six hundred and two?" Chen Shan guessed correctly.

Teacher Jiang shook his head and said with a smile: "It's too low."

He Qingtian asked: "What about six hundred and three?"

Teacher Jiang shook his head again.

Everyone guessed together several times before Teacher Jiang finally announced the answer: "The class above is 568, the class next door is 647, and our class is—"

"Six hundred and fifty-two, first in age."

The class was silent for a moment, then cheered together again.

This time the laughter could really be considered "your class is the loudest in the entire grade", but the grade director who was patrolling the corridor passed by and rarely said a word, and actually laughed along with the classmates.

When the bell rang, everyone couldn't contain their excitement and started chatting from class to class.

Lin Yue glanced at his report card and said happily, "I got 662 this time, so I didn't drag our class down!"

He Qingtian coughed hurriedly when he heard that, and Shen Anyan kicked the stool at the front table from behind.

Lin Yue turned around in confusion and saw Chen Shan stuffing the report card back into the desk pocket with a gloomy look on his face.

She immediately realized that what she had just said seemed a little inappropriate.

Lin Yue quickly slid over to Chen Shan's side, squatted down, rested his chin on the other's desk, and said flatteringly: "Hey Shanshan, do you want to play ball together during recess?"

Chen Shan glanced at her and smiled: "You only know how to play basketball."

Lin Yue raised his head: "Come on, come on."

Chen Shan said helplessly: "Okay, okay, come on, come on."

A grade assembly was held in the afternoon. As usual, prizes were given to the top students in each subject and the top three overall in arts and science. These prizes were mostly school supplies. He Qingtian, the first student to score over 700, also received a large snack bag.

During evening study, He Qingtian's desk was practically covered with prizes. Snack bags lay on the floor, and notebooks and pens lay on the table. Jiang Xiaosong, quite self-consciously, sat in his seat, picking through a pile of stationery.

"The school finally has some aesthetic sense. The notebooks this time are quite nice. Qing'er, I want this, this, and this."

He Qingtian nodded: "You take it."

Lin Yue rubbed his hands and said, "I want one too. My notebook is almost used up."

He Qingtian smiled and said, "Okay, you guys can pick any. You don't have to leave any for me."

So far, the school has held five or six grade assemblies, and the rewards given to students each time are notebooks. He Qingtian couldn't use them all, so after keeping enough for himself, he distributed the rest to his classmates.

Jiang Xiaosong gave up his seat contentedly after he finished picking out the notebooks.

He Qingtian finally managed to sit back in her seat. She looked at her deskmate and said, "Xiao Yan, don't you want it?"

Shen Anyan was distracted and was startled when he heard the words. He asked in confusion: "What do you want?"

He Qingtian pointed to the desktop: "Notebook."

Shen Anyan said: "Oh, no need, I don't have the habit of taking notes."

Lin Yue asked in surprise: "Then how do you review?"

Shen Anyan: "Uh, reading the textbook?"

Lin Yue stopped talking. She didn't understand the top student's study methods.

After Jiang Xiaosong put the notebook back in his classroom, he ran over to covet his friend's snack gift package.

"Qing'er, Qing'er, can I eat it?" Jiang Xiaosong quickly opened the gift package, picked out his favorite snacks, and asked eagerly while holding it.

He Qingtian: "...You've already opened it, how can I not let you eat it?"

Jiang Xiaosong chuckled twice and went to eat happily.

He Qingtian placed the gift bag in the middle and called out to everyone, "Do you want anything to eat? Feel free to take any."

Now everyone around started to move, thanking the squad leader profusely for his magnanimity and majesty, while taking away their favorite snacks quickly and accurately with their hands.

So before evening self-study, the whole class had a lively midnight snack together.
