Chapter 31: Breaking off the relationship (1/2)

The next day, Wang Li boarded the train to Peking. Now she was not afraid to go anywhere because she had space, teleportation and a gun.

The sleeper berth we bought was on the third floor. On the first floor, there was a boy on one side and a girl on the other side. Both of them had returned to Beijing after studying abroad.

There was a man with a mustache lying on the second floor, probably in his forties or fifties.

Opposite Wang Li was an old man with a white beard. He had been lying there without moving. It was already afternoon, but he hadn't gotten up to eat. She also smelled a bloody odor, which ordinary people certainly couldn't smell. Since Wang Li's space was upgraded, her eyes had night vision, and her sense of taste and smell was much better than others.

Wang Li saw that everyone had gone out, so she pushed the old man and said, "Are you feeling uncomfortable and want to eat? I have some here."

Then he took a bun, a bamboo tube of water, and two eggs from the bun room, which is also the space room, and put them on his bed.

The man looked up at Wang Li and said, "You are a good person. I guess I won't do that. I have a small box here. Take it. When the train is about to arrive, leave this... this... box and give this small box to my son. I have a martial arts secret book here that I can give to you."

"My son's name in the city is Dong Shaoqing." Cough... cough... cough, I don't think he can hold on for much longer. I thought he was dead..."

After a long time, there was no sound. Wang Li quickly reached out and felt the old man's pulse. There was no movement. She put the box into the space and put the food into the space as well. Otherwise, others would think that she had killed the old man.

After doing all this, Wang Li pretended to sleep. After a while, everyone came back and the girl on the lower bunk started muttering.

"That old man up there hasn't eaten since he got on the bus, but he can really sleep."

Another person: "You are so nosy. You are in charge of whether others eat or not. They don't eat your food."

Afterwards, everyone probably fell asleep, but from time to time, one could hear a few people snoring.

The next day, Wang Li went to the toilet, washed up in the space, and came out after eating. There was a bag on her bed with two pieces of clothes, an egg and two steamed buns in it. She didn't take it with her when she went to the toilet.

Today a little kid came over selling peanuts, he was also going to Peking. His family suffered a disaster, so he fled with his family. Now only he and his mother are left.

Wang Li felt sorry for him and bought him five bags of peanuts. The child was so excited that he almost cried. He kept bowing and kept saying, "Thank you, auntie, thank you, auntie."

Wang Li felt sorry for him and gave him a steamed bun and an egg, asking him to put them in his clothes and take them back to eat with his mother.

The train slowly arrived at the station. Wang Li didn't know where to look for him. She decided to find a hotel to stay in first and then ask around. She didn't know if that brat had forgotten about her!

I hailed a taxi after getting out of the station and asked the driver which restaurant was better.

The driver said: "Madam, if you have money, you can stay at the Liuguo Hotel. If you don't have money, you can stay at an ordinary hotel near the train station."

Wang Li thought that she was not short of money, so she might as well live in a better place when she was away from home.

"Let's go to the Six Nations Hotel."

I've been feeling a bit tired these past few days, and also a bit upset. I wanted to find a place to put the old man and bury him properly, but I was afraid that others might see him and I wouldn't be able to explain it clearly. In today's society, it's better to have less trouble than more.

The hotel was quite luxurious, with a dance hall on the first floor. Wang Li asked for a room on the third floor. The price was quite cheap, cheaper than that of hotels in Shanghai. The streets in Beijing were not as prosperous as those in Shanghai.

When Wang Li came, she brought a small cloth bag and nothing else. She took a shower, rested, and then went downstairs to eat.

The next day I asked the hotel supervisor, and he said there were many schools in Peking.

Wang Li thought she could look for it while shopping.

After eating a bowl of noodles on the street, Wang Li heard a few women saying that they were going to church. She thought it was okay for her, so she followed them. She heard the women talking about being in church, and sitting there would calm her down no matter what was on her mind.

After getting off the bus, there was an archway in front of us with "Xuanwu Gate" written on it. We walked a little further and saw a nice-looking house with "Catholic Church" written on it. We followed a few women in and walked in. I didn't know what the priest was saying in front, but everyone was listening quietly.

Wang Li found it quite strange. She had never been to a church before, so she found a chair and sat down. She didn’t hear clearly what the priest said, as her mind was already wandering.

Wang Li wondered what Hao was doing now, was he busy in Beijing, had he encountered any danger, had he gained weight or lost weight, was he able to eat enough?
