Every world has its own rules of operation.

Supreme Divine Dragon: "I am maintaining the protective membrane to prevent the rupture from expanding further. The number of those alien creatures is too large. If I don't maintain it, they will quickly tear through the protective membrane. Without the restraint of the protective membrane, their power will reach its peak in an instant."
All he could do was maintain the protective barrier, weaken the power of the invading creatures that had just passed through it, and buy more time for the survivors.
