Chapter 90 (Second and Third Updates)
Chapter Ninety:
Mu Zheng is in a meeting in the conference room.
The department manager spoke at length, showing his presentation slides and explaining his plans.
Mu Zheng watched coldly when suddenly, his phone rang.
Everyone instinctively looked toward the source of the ringing and discovered that Mu Zheng's phone was vibrating on the conference table.
The department manager fell silent, watching him intently with his eyes, as if asking: Shall we continue?
Mu Zheng picked up his phone, about to say "continue," but upon seeing the caller ID, he swallowed the words back.
It's Ye Qingxi.
What did he want from him?
Mu Zheng was puzzled. Shouldn't he still be in class right now?
Mu Zheng answered the phone, his tone gentle, "Xiao Xi?"
"Mm." Ye Qingxi nodded.
"Uncle, are you busy? Could you come to our school?" Ye Qingxi asked in a low voice.
Just now, he rejected his homeroom teacher's suggestion to skip a grade without hesitation. However, his body is only five years old, a minor, still a cub. Therefore, for such a big matter, the homeroom teacher felt that he should meet with his parents and tell them.
"It's not that meeting your parents necessarily means you have to skip a grade, but it concerns your future, and your parents need to know. So could you call them and ask them to come to the school? Of course, if you're too shy, the teacher can call instead."
Ye Qingxi can understand her.
What decision-making power can a five-year-old child have?
Doesn't everything he has depend on his parents?
The teacher was helpless. What if she didn't tell his parents, and they found out about it by chance and felt that she had ruined their child's future, and then came to cause trouble and make trouble for the teacher? What could the teacher do then?
Therefore, Ye Qingxi volunteered, "I'll play."
Before leaving, Mu Shaowu said that if the teacher asked him to call his father, he should call Mu Zheng; if the teacher asked him to call his mother, he should call Mu Shaoting; and if both parents were to come, he should ask them to come.
So Ye Qingxi called Mu Zheng first.
Mu Zheng was surprised, "Now?"
"You can come after school too," Ye Qingxi said softly.
Mu Zheng sensed that he wasn't in a very good mood and wondered if he had encountered something unpleasant at school.
“I’m coming right now,” he said. “Where are you now? In the teacher’s office or the classroom?”
“I’m outside the teacher’s office,” Ye Qingxi said.
He went outside to make a phone call. "I'll go back to the classroom in a bit. When you all come over, I'll go see the teacher with you."
"Okay," Mu Zheng said with relief.
It would be good if they could go back to the classroom. Otherwise, if they stay in the office all the time, and it turns out that something really happened, the children will inevitably feel uncomfortable and upset.
"Then you go back to the classroom and stay there. Don't be afraid, I'll be right there."
"Hmm," Ye Qingxi said. After thinking for a moment, he added, "It's not a bad thing, Uncle, you don't need to worry. I'm not afraid."
Mu Zheng breathed a sigh of relief, but couldn't help but wonder, if it wasn't a bad thing, then what was it?
If it were something good, Ye Qingxi's tone didn't seem like it.
Mu Zheng stood up and said to everyone, "Let's end today's meeting here, and we'll talk about the rest tomorrow."
“Okay,” the department managers replied in unison.
It wasn't until Mu Zheng left that someone couldn't help but ask curiously, "Who is this Xiao Xi? Mr. Mu's son?"
"Isn't President Mu's son named Qin Cheng?"
"Who is Xiao Xi? Judging from President Mu's expression, he seems to care a lot about her!"
"Wait, you mentioned earlier that Chairman Mu adopted a grandson, is his name something like Xi?"
"Yes, yes, that seems to be her name, Ye Qingxi."
"He actually has such a good relationship with President Mu?"
"That's right, Chairman Mu brought him home personally. How could Chairman Mu not have a good relationship with him? I heard that Chairman Mu even gave him shares!"
"My goodness, Chairman Mu is so generous! Even his own grandson wouldn't be this generous!"
"Isn't that right?"
As everyone talked, they couldn't help but feel envious.
After Ye Qingxi finished speaking with Mu Zheng, she hung up the phone.
He called Mu Shaoting again to ask if she had time.
Mu Shaoting was about to go to a karaoke bar with her friends when she received his call. She immediately replied, "I can do it, I'll be right there."
After she finished speaking, she hung up the phone and turned to her roommates, "The plans have changed. I won't be going to karaoke today. You guys go ahead."
"Huh?" my roommate asked, puzzled. "Why aren't you going all of a sudden? We've already packed everything up."
"Yes, you look so beautiful today, it would be such a shame if you didn't go!"
"And I heard that Senior Yang Yu is also there, are you really not going?"
"Yeah, didn't you keep talking about Senior Yang Yu before?"
Mu Shaoting smiled and said, "My nephew has something to do, I have to go to his school, so I really can't today. Let's do it another day, another day we can sing together."
“But then there won’t be a senior like Yang Yu anymore~” her roommate teased her.
"But she can't just ignore Ye Qingxi for Yang Yu's sake, can she?" Mu Shaoting thought to himself.
She was indeed somewhat interested in Yang Yu, but only somewhat; he couldn't compare to her adorable little nephew at all!
So Mu Shaoting waved to her roommates with a smile, picked up her bag, and went out the door.
She and Mu Zheng arrived at school one after the other unexpectedly.
When Mu Shaoting saw him, he deliberately ran up behind him and patted him on the shoulder.
Mu Zheng turned around and frowned. "You're so old, yet you're still not mature enough."
Mu Shaoting pouted, "You're such a good dad."
But then she thought about it again, wasn't Mu Zheng another father to her and Mu Shaoyan?
Mu Zheng led half of her parent-teacher conferences.
Mu Shaoyan fared even worse; he was basically driven entirely by Mu Zheng.
In a sense, her father's decision to have her older brother allowed him to take a lot of easy time.
"I never imagined that I would one day be meeting a teacher as a parent," Mu Shaoting remarked.
Mu Zheng chuckled, "What's so unexpected about this? You'll have plenty of times like this when you have children."
"I hope my child can be as well-behaved and adorable as Xiaoxi~" Mu Shaoting fantasized.
After saying that, she asked curiously, "Did Xiaoxi tell you what it was about?"
"No, I just said it's not a bad thing."
Mu Shaoting nodded and walked into the teaching building with him.
Ye Qingxi lay on the table, quietly looking out the window.
He could sense that he wasn't in a good mood.
He also knew very well where these negative emotions came from.
He refused to skip a grade, but his homeroom teacher still hoped that his parents could come and meet with them to discuss the matter.
Ye Qingxi could rationally understand her homeroom teacher and didn't think there was anything wrong with it.
But this situation, where his own decisions were put on hold, where he couldn't make his own choices, and where his parents had to nod or shake their heads even though it was his business, inevitably reminded him of his past life.
I thought of that feeling of powerlessness—that you have your own life, but you can't control it.
Ye Qingxi recalled the phrase her parents would always say when she argued with them in the past: "You are my son."
When they say this, they are emphasizing ownership, not emotion.
The son is not important; what matters is "me," "mine."
Just like this is my bag, this is my clothes, the focus is on me, so I can put my bag wherever I want and wear my clothes however I want.
Because this is mine.
The same goes for my son.
Ye Qingxi suddenly felt a little scared. She was afraid that Mu Zheng and Mu Shaoting wanted her to skip a grade, and that they would try to persuade her after hearing that she was unwilling.
No, Ye Qingxi comforted herself, they weren't like that.
But what if?
After all, skipping a grade is an honorable thing.
It might indeed be more beneficial to his future.
It's okay, Ye Qingxi thought. If they really wanted him to skip a grade, he would call Mu Shaowu. Mu Shaowu would definitely listen to him and wouldn't make him do something he didn't want to do.
Ye Qingxi nodded, "Yes, that's right."
After making his decision, he suddenly, as if in a daze, stood frozen in his seat, somewhat incredulous.
When did he start to trust Mu Shaowu so much without even realizing it?
I believe the other person will not force me, will not go against my wishes, and will not hurt me.
Ye Qingxi found it unbelievable. How long had he been in this world? How long had he known Mu Shaowu? How could he trust him so much?
At that moment, he suddenly felt a warmth welling up in his heart, like the lake water in spring, like the clear stream in summer.
He once thought he would never again place such pure and sincere trust in anyone.
He once thought that he had unknowingly lost the ability to fully trust others.
He also thought that it would take him at least ten or twenty years to gradually open his heart, just as he had gradually closed himself off before.
But now, he realizes he was wrong.
He had already opened his heart to Mu Shaowu.
He trusted him.
And so, the ability to trust others, which he had lost without him even realizing it, quietly returned to his hands.
At this moment, Ye Qingxi felt as if the clouds had parted and the sun was shining brightly.
His fear vanished, replaced by a firm belief in Mu Shaowu and his own future.
In this lifetime, no one but him can control his life anymore.
Mu Zheng and Mu Shaoting went up the stairs to their homeroom teacher, Ms. Wang's, office.
The homeroom teacher looked at the two of them and asked in confusion, "Are you... Ye Qingxi's parents?"
“His father is away on a business trip and won’t be back for several months, so you can tell me directly if you need anything,” Mu Zheng said.
Mu Shaoting smiled and said, "At home, I'm like his mother."
Class teacher: ...I'm becoming more and more curious and puzzled about Ye's family situation.
"Alright." The homeroom teacher pulled out two chairs for them to sit down. "I called you two here mainly because there's something I want to tell his parents. If his father is busy, I can only ask you to pass on the message."
"Okay," Mu Zheng replied.
“Look at this.”
As the homeroom teacher spoke, she turned around and handed Ye Qingxi's test paper to the two of them.
Mu Shaoting looked at it from all angles for a long time, but still couldn't see anything wrong with it.
Didn't you answer that well? You got everything right.
Mu Zheng was more observant and noticed that some of the questions on the paper had appeared in Qin Cheng's textbook this year.
But isn't Ye Qingxi a first-year student?
"What do you mean by showing us this?" Mu Zheng asked.
"This is the test paper that Xiaoxi just did here. The content of the test paper covers grades one through four. He finished it very quickly, almost effortlessly, and his accuracy rate was 100%. Only the last few questions were a bit difficult, which were from the fourth grade."
"Fourth grade?" Mu Shaoting asked in surprise. "Isn't Xiaoxi in first grade?"
"That's why I invited you all here today," the homeroom teacher said. "With Ye Qingxi's current level, it's really a waste of his talent to stay in our class. I think he can go directly to the fourth grade. Right now, the first semester of the fourth grade has only just been covered halfway. He will definitely be able to keep up if he goes there. Maybe he can even learn the fifth and sixth grade content in this year."
Mu Shaoting: !!!
"You want Xiaoxi to skip a grade?!"
Or should we skip directly to fourth grade?
That's quite a leap!
"Ye Qingxi's situation is not common. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call him a genius. His Chinese teacher also thinks that his Chinese level far exceeds that of other students and he can go directly to the fourth grade."
"As you all know, many schools only start teaching English in the third grade, so even if he goes to the fourth grade, it won't have a big impact."
“But…” Mu Shaoting hesitated, “What did Xiao Xi say? Did you ask him?”
“I asked,” the homeroom teacher said. “He refused.”
“Of course,” the homeroom teacher said kindly, “I’m telling you this not because I necessarily want him to skip a grade. I’m just giving you, as parents, some advice after I discovered his talent. But the final decision is up to you and your child.”
“Especially the children,” the homeroom teacher emphasized.
"If you want to make the most of his talent and let him skip a grade, you need to talk to him nicely and get him to agree willingly. If he really resists, then you need to think more carefully. After all, once a child resists something, his talent may instead hurt him and cause him pain."
The homeroom teacher spoke earnestly, “Ye Qingxi is the most talented and intelligent student I have ever taught. I hope his talent will not be wasted, but I hope even more that this talent will bring him happiness. So you must talk to his father about this matter clearly and discuss it with your child. You must not make a decision that you will regret.”
“I know,” Mu Zheng said.
The school bell rang at that moment. Mu Zheng stood up, said a few more words to the homeroom teacher, and then left with Mu Shaoting.
They went to Ye Qingxi's classroom door and waited for him to finish school.
"I'll wait. You go pick up Xiao Cheng, brother," Mu Shaoting said. "Xiao Cheng should be upstairs."
Mu Zheng nodded, and as he turned around, he instructed Mu Shaoting, "Don't mention Xiao Xi skipping a grade in front of Xiao Cheng for now."
"Okay," Mu Shaoting replied.
Mu Zheng then went upstairs.
When Qin Cheng saw him appear at the classroom door, she was pleasantly surprised and hurriedly packed her books into her schoolbag before running to him. "Dad, what brings you here?"
"I'm here to take care of some business, so I can pick you up."
He patted Qin Cheng's head. "Let's go pick up Xiao Xi."
"Mmm," Qin Cheng said happily.
He held Mu Zheng's hand, feeling a little embarrassed but also eager to let him know, and said, "Dad, my midterm exam results are out."
"Really?" Mu Zheng smiled. "Then our Xiao Cheng must have done very well on the exam?"
Qin Cheng smiled shyly.
Seeing the undisguised pride on his face, Mu Zheng continued, "Let me guess, it's definitely number one again."
Qin Cheng nodded, raised his eyes, and although he didn't say a word, his eyes were full of expectation.
It looks like an adorable dog that has done something good and is waiting for its owner to praise it.
Mu Zheng pinched his little face and praised him generously, "Great job, Xiao Cheng is really amazing."
Qin Cheng lowered his head contentedly and happily, savoring the small but heart-filling joy.
He whispered, "Dad, we have a parent-teacher conference in a few days."
The implication of his sudden statement was quite clear. Therefore, even though he hadn't finished speaking, Mu Zheng took the initiative to say, "Then can Dad attend it for you? Dad has never attended a parent-teacher conference for you before."
Qin Cheng nodded quickly!
He had been hesitant and embarrassed to say it, but now that Mu Zheng had said it, he was overjoyed.
Is this what they call telepathy?
Qin Cheng thought, "Then they're even more amazing than the poem. He didn't even say anything, but his father already figured it out. Isn't that a case of unspoken understanding? Haha."
Qin Cheng happily held Mu Zheng's hand, his whole being radiating happiness.
Ye Qingxi was packing his schoolbag when he suddenly heard the sports committee member say to him, "Ye Qingxi, your aunt is here."
Mu Shaoting: ? ? ?
Mu Shaoting was puzzled. How did he know her?
She looked closely and then recognized him as one of the junior cadres from the sports meet a few days ago.
This child has a pretty good memory.
Upon hearing this, Ye Qingxi quickly packed her schoolbag and ran out.
Pei Liang and the others followed behind him, and greeted Mu Shaoting very politely.
Mu Shaoting smiled and said, "Hello to you all too~"
Ye Qingxi looked at her and asked, "Have you finished talking with my homeroom teacher?"
"We've finished talking," Mu Shaoting said. "We were going to call you, but you were in class, and we didn't want to disturb you, so we didn't."
Ye Qingxi nodded.
Pei Liang asked in confusion, "What are we talking about?"
Ye Qingxi quickly replied perfunctorily, "It's nothing."
"Then why did your aunt come?"
"I got first place, so the teacher asked my parents to come over and share their study methods."
Pei Liang: "...Really?"
Ye Qingxi nodded, "Of course."
Pei Liang looked at Mu Shaoting.
Mu Shaoting: ...
Mu Shaoting smiled and nodded, "Mm."
Pei Liang reluctantly believed him, "Then let's go, Ye Qingxi."
As soon as he finished speaking, Ye Qingxi saw Qin Cheng and Mu Zheng coming down the stairs opposite.
Qin Cheng pulled Mu Zheng to him and then greeted Mu Shaoting, saying, "Hello, Auntie."
"Hello," Mu Shaoting said with a smile.
Everyone's here, now we can go.
The group of people walked forward in separate groups.
Ye Qingxi was surrounded by Pei Liang and Zhong Yan, who were chattering away about whether to go to the zoo or the botanical garden on Sunday.
Kang Cong wants to go to the zoo, Pei Liang wants to go to the botanical garden, and Zhong Yan unconditionally stands against Pei Liang, so the pressure falls on Ye Qingxi.
Ye Qingxi answered without hesitation, "The Botanical Garden."
"Why?!" Kang Cong and Zhong Yan were shocked.
Pei Liang said smugly, "Of course, smart people like to go to the botanical garden!"
Kang Cong and Zhong Yan snorted in disdain, "Now it's two to two."
"Brother Qin Cheng, do you want to go out and play with us?" Kang Cong asked Qin Cheng.
"Is Xiaoxi going?" Qin Cheng asked Ye Qingxi.
Ye Qingxi nodded.
“Then I’ll go,” Qin Cheng said.
"Would you like to go to the zoo or the botanical garden?"
As soon as Kang Cong finished speaking, Zhong Yan covered Ye Qingxi's mouth and stared at Qin Cheng, saying, "You are not allowed to ask Ye Qingxi."
Qin Cheng: ...
Qin Cheng thought for a moment and felt that there weren't many flowers to see this season, so he said, "Let's go to the zoo."
"Great!" Kang Cong and Zhong Yan exclaimed happily.
Pei Liang sighed helplessly, "Xiao Xi chose the botanical garden."
Qin Cheng: Huh?
Ye Qingxi smiled and said, "It's okay, I actually want to go to the zoo too."
"Really?" Qin Cheng asked him.
Ye Qingxi nodded.
Pei Liang was puzzled. "Then why did you just mention the botanical garden?"
“You’re so stupid,” Zhong Yan said, tapping him. “If Xiao Xi had said ‘zoo,’ we would have won three to one, and you would have been completely out of the game.”
Pei Liang realized it; it really was true.
He hugged Ye Qingxi tightly, saying, "Xiao Xi, you really are my good friend."
Qin Cheng: !!!
You can talk, but who gave you permission to lay a hand on me?
Ye Qingxi was so carried by him that she could hardly walk, so she could only push him away and say, "You walk properly."
Pei Liang then let go of him and continued walking forward, chatting and laughing with him.
Mu Zheng watched quietly.
He thought that this was probably why Ye Qingxi was unwilling to skip grades.
Moving from first grade to fourth grade involves changes not only in the curriculum but also in interpersonal relationships.
Ye Qingxi had good friends in first grade, but by fourth grade, she had none of them.
But what if Qin Cheng also goes to fourth grade?
Would he be willing to have people and friends around him like that?
Mu Zheng didn't say anything, silently got the car, and drove Ye Qingxi and Mu Shaoting back to the old house.
"Dad has something to talk to your grandpa about. Can you do your homework here first?" he said to Qin Cheng.
Qin Cheng nodded, "Xiao Xi and I will write it together."
“That might not work,” Mu Zheng said. “Xiao Xi needs to go see your grandfather with her father.”
Qin Cheng didn't understand, "Can't I go too?"
"It's about Xiaoxi's private matters. It might not be appropriate for you to go."
Qin Cheng nodded, then asked curiously, "What's wrong, Dad? Is something wrong with my brother?"
"No." Mu Zheng patted his head. "It's just a little personal matter. Everyone has privacy, just like you have things you don't want your brother to know, and your brother has them too. So you do your homework obediently, and Dad will handle this, okay?"
"Okay," Qin Cheng replied.
He's a child, and children sometimes can't solve problems, but adults can. So it's reasonable for his father to help Ye Qingxi with her homework.
"Then Dad, you have to help your little brother a lot!"
"Okay," Mu Zheng said with a smile.
The decision to skip a grade rests with Ye Qingxi.
Mu Zheng was unsure whether Ye Qingxi would agree or not after their conversation.
Therefore, he did not want to tell Qin Cheng.
Qin Cheng really likes Ye Qingxi, so much so that he once lamented at home, "I wish my younger brother was in the same class as me."
Now that such an opportunity is presented to him, Qin Cheng will definitely be tempted and hope that Ye Qingxi can skip a grade.
But his hopes may not come true, and unsuccessful hopes will turn into disappointment.
Mu Zheng didn't want to disappoint him.
However, he would not allow anyone to make Ye Qingxi do things he was unwilling to do.
Therefore, he chose not to let Qin Cheng know about this for the time being.
If Ye Qingxi chooses to skip a grade, Qin Cheng will naturally be pleasantly surprised.
If Ye Qingxi chooses to stay in first grade, Qin Cheng will still maintain the same positive attitude.
This is for his own good.
Mu Zheng rubbed his head again and left his study.
He led Ye Qingxi into Mu Feng's study, along with Mu Shaoting.
"What's up?"
Mu Feng didn't sit behind his desk, but instead sat on the sofa and asked them.
Mu Shaoting glanced at Mu Zheng, who calmly recounted the homeroom teacher's suggestion that Ye Qingxi skip a grade.
He said, "Shao Wu should be filming right now. I just called him, and his agent answered. He said he'd call me back as soon as filming is over."
"Don't worry about him." Mu Feng felt that Mu Shaowu's opinion on this matter was not important.
The important one is Ye Qingxi.
"Xiao Xi, what do you think?"
"I want to stay in my current class," Ye Qingxi said quickly.
Upon hearing this, Mu Feng said with a bang, "Then you can stay in your current class."
Mu Zheng looked at Ye Qingxi and said gently, "Xiaoxi, do you want to stay in first grade because of Pei Liang and the others?"
He said, "If you're just worried that you won't have any familiar people or friends to play with when you're in fourth grade, then you can rest assured. Your older brother Qin Cheng has almost finished reading the second semester of third grade, and he can skip a grade to fourth grade just like you. That way, you'll still have familiar people and friends to play with."
Ye Qingxi was surprised; he hadn't expected it to be like this!
If Qin Cheng were in the same fourth grade as him, he would feel much more at ease, and he would still have friends to talk to.
only……
Ye Qingxi shook her head.
He understood what Mu Zheng meant, but he felt that Mu Zheng did not understand him.
“Pei Liang and the others are friends, Qin Cheng is an older brother, they are different.”
Ye Qingxi said, "If I don't go to fourth grade, my brother will still be my brother. But if I go to fourth grade, Pei Liangzhong, Yan Kangcong might no longer be my friends."
Ye Qingxi had lost his friends before, so he knew very well that once time and space could not overlap, if they lacked the same time and were not in the same place to be together, then they would slowly drift apart.
Qin Cheng is different.
Qin Cheng was a friend, but also an elder brother.
As long as he is Mu Zheng's child, and as long as he doesn't leave the Mu family, then the two of them will never be separated.
Therefore, he didn't want to go to fourth grade.
He didn't want to lose his good friend again.
Ye Qingxi recalled how Pei Liang had hugged her when he got out of school, and how Zhong Yan, Kang Cong, and he had played around with each other.
I remember them getting into fights together, sitting on the parallel bars together, training on the track together, and participating in relay races together.
They hadn't known each other for very long, yet they already had so many wonderful memories that he wanted to remember.
He didn't want these memories to turn into black and white.
It has become a past that can never be returned to.
He wanted to continue spending time with them, creating more memories, so that when he grew old, he could stand together with Mu Feng and Pei Ying on his grandson's playground, taking new photos.
He thought he should cherish this rare friendship that he had regained after losing it.
"I want to stay in my current class," Ye Qingxi said.
His voice was soft, but his tone was firm.
Upon hearing this, Mu Zheng nodded, "Okay."
He said, "Then you can stay in your current class."
“But Xiaoxi, if one day you regret it, if you don’t like your current class anymore, if you don’t want to continue, you can tell me anytime, tell your dad, and then we can discuss whether you should go to another class or skip a grade,” Mu Zheng said.
He liked Pei Liang and the others very much, and he was happy to see Pei Liang, Ye Qingxi, and Qin Cheng playing together.
However, Mu Zheng did not agree that Ye Qingxi chose to stay in the first year just for their sake.
He might want to make the first-grade curriculum easier and less stressful, since all his peers are in first grade, so he also wants to make first grade easier.
Rather than, for a particular person or certain individuals.
In this way, if Pei Liang and the others hurt him, or if their friendship is damaged, Ye Qingxi will inevitably feel bad, and might even regret it.
Mu Zheng didn't want him to suffer like this, but Ye Qingxi had his own life to live, and he couldn't walk the path for him. So he could only emphasize that if he regretted it, he would tell them.
In this way, they can minimize the damage he causes.
"I won't regret it," Ye Qingxi said.
Mu Zheng smiled, "That would be best, of course."
He said, "Xiao Xi, would you like to go to first grade?"
“Great!” Ye Qingxi replied without hesitation.
"That's good." Mu Zheng looked at him. "If you think it's good, then it's good."
Upon hearing this, Ye Qingxi couldn't help but raise the corners of her lips.
He knew that his family in this life was different from those in the previous life.
His uncle and aunt wouldn't ignore or disregard his thoughts.
Ye Qingxi looked at the people around her, feeling an overwhelming sense of joy.
Mu Shaoting laughed, "We always say that our Xiaoxi is a genius baby, and I didn't expect it to be true."
Mu Feng's old friend filter is 800 meters thick: "His grandfather was very smart, so he must be very smart too."
He had barely finished speaking when Mu Zheng's phone rang; it was Mu Shaowu.
Mu Zheng answered the phone and heard Mu Shaowu ask, "Brother, what do you want? I was just filming."
"It's alright," Mu Zheng said. "We've finished discussing it."
"Huh?" Mu Shaowu asked in confusion, "How come you're done discussing already? What did you discuss?"
"Regarding whether Xiaoxi should skip a grade, if Xiaoxi doesn't want to, then she can stay in her current class."
Mu Shaowu: ? ? ?
Mu Shaowu: !!!
no!
Why is his son skipping a grade?
Why did you stop jumping again?!
How did the discussion end so quickly?!
He, the father, hasn't even given his opinion yet!
Mu Shaowu was speechless. Couldn't they at least show some respect for him as a father?
He's my dad!
