Chapter 31: Marriage

Fortunately, Lin Xiuyao and her don't have a good relationship, so he just needs to give her some face in the future.

When Lin Meimei heard Su Qingmeng's words, she felt embarrassed and kept silent. Su Qingmeng chatted with Lin Erlan.

After a while, the captain's wife, Aunt Yingzi, and Lin Dalan came in. She called them "Auntie, Big Sister," and they exchanged some warm instructions.

A table was set up in the room and they started eating. Several people kept picking up food for Su Qingmeng, and she was so full.

The banquet didn't end until two o'clock. The aunt who came to help with cooking washed the dishes and took away the leftovers.

Su Qingmeng was lying on the kang, feeling tired. She didn't like dealing with a bunch of relatives.

Lin Xiuyao walked into the room and smiled when he saw her.

"What are you laughing at?" she asked weakly.

"That's great, you've become my wife," Lin Xiuyao came up and hugged her in his arms.

They lay quietly for a while, then stood up to sort out the gifts they had received. They had to keep a record in their account book, as they would have to return them later. Lin Xiuyao wrote "Lin Xiuhe 50."

"My eldest brother mailed me 50 yuan, and he will return it when he gets married. His last letter said he had a partner, so I guess he'll be getting one soon."

"Your younger brother got married earlier than your brother," said Su Qingmeng.

Lin Xiuyao smiled and said, "Who made me meet you? I would be worried if I didn't marry you home soon."

Su Qingmeng glared at him and couldn't help laughing.

Lin Xiuyao handed over all his belongings. He had 1,000 yuan in his bank account and 2,300 yuan in cash. After obtaining the space, he stopped depositing his money in the bank.

Su Qingmeng left him 300 yuan for his daily necessities and kept the rest in her own space, ready to give it to him when he needed it.

After a short rest, the two went to the educated youth camp to pick up Su Qingmeng's remaining things. When the educated youth saw them, they all congratulated them. The two of them distributed wedding candy.

The room was quickly cleared, the luggage was placed on the cart, and Lin Xiuyao went to unload the iron pot.

Su Qingmeng looked around the house she'd lived in for half a year. She'd thought she'd stay here until after the college entrance exams, but life was so unpredictable. Tian Ke would move in later, and she'd given Su Qingmeng half the rent.

After packing, Tian Ke also came over with her luggage. Su Qingmeng handed her the key, said goodbye to her friends, and returned to her new home.
