Su Qingmeng moved the remaining furniture into the room and arranged it, with Zhou Wenxi helping out. She took out the egg cake she had bought and gave Zhou Wenxi a piece, eating one herself as well. The two of them smiled at each other; neither of them had eaten enough just now.
After eating, Zhou Wenxi went back to her room. Su Qingmeng had been busy all day and had also suffered the shock of traveling through the book. Now she finally had time to have a good rest.
Lying on the kang mat that smelled of grass and wood, Su Qingmeng sorted out her thoughts. She had just read the book "The Sweet Life of a Village Girl in the 1970s" before she traveled through time. She remembered most of the plot in the early part, but she didn't want to read the second half because the heroine's life was not sweet at all. However, as a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder, she still skipped to the end.
She just recalled that there was indeed an educated youth named Su in the book. He died the day after he arrived, and his funeral was handled by someone who knew more about the matter.
There's a scene where a few days after the funeral, the heroine's mother asks at the dinner table if they've contacted the brigade accountant. The accountant sighs and says, "Yes, Su Zhiqing's mother asked a few simple questions, and when she found out that Su Zhiqing had been buried, she said she wouldn't come." The heroine's mother then says a few words about how she wasn't a good mother, and the heroine tries to coax her out of it, sighing that she has a good mother.
Su Qingmeng felt a little sad, but since she was not involved in the incident, she only felt sentimental for a while.
After lying down for half an hour, it began to get dark. Su Qingmeng took a flashlight and went to the toilet. Zhou Wenxi said that the female educated youth were usually on the west side, and the male educated youth were on the east side.
After squatting for more than ten minutes with difficulty, she felt that she had been marinated. She wandered outside for a while to dissipate the smell before returning to the house.
After Su Qingmeng came back, she tidied up her clothes and quilt, used her consciousness to call up the farm game page, and found the bathroom. This building was called "Jinyi Xianggui", and there was a large wooden barrel for washing, as well as racks for clothes.
There are also decorative "clothes drying racks" and "storage benches" that hold clothes and quilts. She placed these in front of the farmhouse for easy access.
After placing it, Su Qingmeng found the clothes she had changed out of in the morning, took out a new set of clothes, and chose to enter. After entering, she appeared next to the bed in the bedroom. There was also a quilt on the bed. After two days, she would change it with the one outside and wash the original owner's set.
When she went outside, she realized it was dusk on the farm, too. It seemed time flowed at the same rate here as outside. The large wooden tub in the bathroom was actually filled with water. Su Qingmeng tested the temperature; it was warm, perfect for a bath. Hanging nearby was a set of clothes in an ancient style: a slanted-collared top and baggy pants. She couldn't wear them outside.
After taking a shower, Su Qingmeng changed into the original owner's clothes. She washed the two sets of clothes she had changed out of with the bathtub water, rinsed them twice in a waterwheel building after applying soap, and hung them on the clothesline. There was originally a set of cotton clothes on the clothesline, which could be altered and taken out to wear as pajamas.
After taking a shower and returning to the house, I found that the buns I put in the morning had gone bad, but the ones in the warehouse were still hot. It seems that I have to keep the food I eat in the warehouse from now on.
The wood brought in from the scrap station was also on the ground. She found a piece of cloth to wipe off the mud. It was just a piece of rosewood, which could be used to carve a small object in the future. The red wood carving was a bit strange. She studied it for a long time and found a small mechanism. She pressed it and a drawer popped out. In the drawer were two round jade pendants made of white jade. They looked very valuable. She made a profit.
Su Qingmeng finished eating the buns, took out a bowl of spicy mutton noodles from the warehouse, and came to the dining table to eat.
This octagonal dining table is made of huanghuali wood, and there is also an old rosewood round-corner bookcase, a sandalwood three-layer bookcase, and an old rosewood storage rack. If these pieces of furniture were sold after the reform and opening up, they would be worth millions.
These pieces of furniture were given to her after interacting with the villagers and reaching a certain level of favorability. There were also desks, flower tables, coffee tables, plum blossom screens, bamboo screens, small bookcases, and a small collection of items in the house. It was a bamboo frame with a backpack and a small round basket on it, both of which could be taken out and used.
After finishing her noodles, Su Qingmeng took the bowl to the kitchen to wash. This bowl was perfect for daily use, so she took it with her when she went out. She then walked around the kitchen again, looking for the kitchen knife and cutting board, as well as the small clay pot for salt.
Holding her belongings in her arms, Su Qingmeng appeared in the small room. It was already seven o'clock, and it was completely dark. She put her things on the end of the kang, not wanting to sort them out in the dark. She would clean up tomorrow.
Lying on the kang, Su Qingmeng began to tidy up the farm, storing all the decorative buildings, mostly pavilions, rockery, flowers and trees, and various stone sculptures.
Many entertainment buildings were unused, so only a few remained. There were also unnecessary production buildings, such as the toy factory, stationery shop, and embroidery room, which were also put away.
There aren't many buildings left, so the layout needs to be adjusted. Farmland and production buildings can only be controlled from outside the space and are placed on the opposite side of the river. Things you need for daily use are placed closer to the cabin so you don't have to walk far each time you enter. Roads and streetlights have been re-planned to be practical.
Part of the crops in the farmland are mature, which are hemp and grass, and two-thirds are not yet mature. Su Qingmeng clicked with his consciousness, and it showed: cotton will mature in 64 hours and pumpkin will mature in 40 hours.
The maturity time of crops has changed. When playing the game, wheat can be harvested once a minute, and a day in the game is only twenty minutes. Now the farm time has been adjusted according to reality.
The time in the top left corner of the game page is 7:16 PM, July 15, 1975. It's nighttime on the farm, and the lights have automatically come on. The lights in the game come on at night, so you won't need to use kerosene lamps or flashlights to do things at night. There's a bedside lamp in the cabin that you can use later in the evening.
The current cropping times for farmland are: wheat (2 hours), soybeans (4 hours), sugarcane (8 hours), rice (12 hours), cabbage (2 days), peppers (3 days), potatoes (3 days), pumpkins (2 days), apples (2 days), sedge (3 days), cotton (3 days), and sweet potatoes (3 days). Level 2 farmland yields double the amount. The farm has a total of 50 farmlands, all level 2.
