Chapter 7 is ahead of schedule

Chapter 7 is ahead of schedule

A flash of lightning streaked across the sky, illuminating the dark night in an instant, and then a loud thunder resounded through the sky with a "boom". The sound of thunder was so loud that it seemed as if the earth was shaking.

Lan Jin was sleeping soundly with her child in her arms, and the two of them were caught off guard and woken up from their sleep by the thunder.

Originally, Ren Siqiao just looked at her in confusion, but after the second thunder sounded, Ren Siqiao finally couldn't hold back and fell into Lan Jin's arms, crying heart-wrenchingly.

Lan Jin was holding the child and was about to say a few words of comfort, but a few seconds later, lightning and thunder came from the sky one after another, quickly drowning out Lan Jin's voice.

This scene was extremely familiar to Lan Jin no matter how she looked at it. She had a bad idea in her mind: could the end of the world have come early?

After all, the end of the world in the previous life began with this thunder, followed by earthquakes, tsunamis and poisonous fog. The rapid arrival of these three disasters overwhelmed mankind. It was precisely because of these three disasters that countless deaths and injuries occurred at the beginning of the end of the world.

Lan Jin quickly recalled the memories of her previous life. She remembered that after the three-minute thunder, an earthquake would come. The only feeling in J City that was not related to earthquakes and tsunamis was the chandelier hanging in the middle of the living room.

Lan Jin carried the child to the living room, kissing Ren Siqiao who was crying so hard that he choked, comforting Nana who was trembling under her feet, and looking at the chandelier above the living room.

Sure enough, as soon as the thunder that lasted for 3 minutes stopped, the chandelier above my head began to shake.

Now almost every city has installed lightning rods, so no matter how loud the thunder is or how long it lasts, as long as you stay indoors, you don’t have to worry about safety issues. So even if the thunder is louder, no one feels panic at all.

But the chandelier above their heads was different. Although J City was far away from the earthquake zone, what if the earthquake was too strong and the house collapsed? Many people panicked for a moment, and not long after, Lan Jin saw groups of people running out from the living room window.

This scene and picture were almost exactly the same as in the previous life. Even though the community had changed, Lan Jin had no doubt that the end of the world had really come early.

However, after she learned that the end of the world had really come, she felt a sense of relief. During this period, she felt that her heart was hanging on a string every day. She was worried that the end of the world would come, and at the same time, she was worried that the end of the world would not come. Looking at the day getting closer and closer, Lan Jin's heart could never calm down.

But it’s different now, the matter has been confirmed, so as for the follow-up... just take it as it comes. No matter what others do, she just wants to raise her child safely and securely.

The thunder stopped, and after a while, Ren Siqiao in her arms recovered. The little kid said pitifully, "Mom, I want some water."

"Well, mom will pour it for you."

Ren Siqiao took the cup and drank a large glass of water, then pointed at Rowena who was following her steps and said, "Nana wants to drink too. I'm crying because my throat hurts."

Lan Jin had no choice but to fill the dog's bottle with water again. While Nana was drinking, Lan Jin would occasionally look out the window, looking at the small black dots running below. Ren Siqiao asked in confusion, "Mom, people."

"Yes, many people are running outside, but we won't go out. We can just stay at home."

The faint tremor lasted even shorter than the thunder. After just two minutes, the chandelier above them stopped shaking. Lan Jin pointed at it and said, "It's gone. We don't need to go down. We'll be back soon anyway."

But as soon as Lan Jin finished speaking, regardless of whether to go downstairs or not, the lights in the house went out. Lan Jin turned around and looked out the window. It was all pitch black, and even the street lights were not on. Well, there was a power outage, just like in her previous life.

Not long after, the people running downstairs turned on their cell phone flashlights one by one because they couldn't see the road clearly. The bustling crowd had a faint light in their hands, but when she looked down from the 32nd floor, it seemed that everyone was running around like headless flies, and she could even hear faint quarrels downstairs from time to time.

Lan Jin had no interest in these people, but because of the power outage, the feeling of darkness all around made Ren Siqiao a little scared. Lan Jin quickly took out the candle in the space, and then lit it on the corner of the dining table. There was light in the room, and not to mention Ren Siqiao, even her heart felt much calmer.

"Emergency notice, emergency notice. Due to the earthquake in the neighboring city, power lines in many areas have been damaged. Workers have been dispatched to repair them. Please stay home and wait. The earthquake has stopped. Residents who ran out of their homes, please return home immediately. Community workers will be coming to register your family soon. Please stay home and wait for community workers to come."

The sound of the broadcast quickly spread to every corner of the community. The running residents finally stopped after hearing the community broadcast. Looking at the residents walking back one by one, they followed the crowd in groups of three or two and walked back to their homes.

Looking at the lights in everyone's hands as they walked back, Ren Siqiao asked, "Back?"

"Yes, the community broadcast asked everyone not to wander around." But as soon as she finished speaking, Lan Jin realized something was wrong. "It was too fast. This broadcast came too quickly."

Almost as soon as the overhead chandelier stopped, the community broadcast came on.

Ren Siqiao leaned against her, not quite hearing what she said, so he asked, "Mom, what's the hurry?"

"It happened so quickly, the news got out to the community so quickly."

Whether in the previous life or this life, the community workers' broadcast came too quickly. You have to know that it is the middle of the night now, and the community workers work from nine to five. Who would stay in the community in the middle of the night, not to mention having to register at the door after the broadcast.

Um, the whole picture has been changed. I can't say it's exactly the same, I can only say it's completely different, but it's finally connected.
