Qu Li looked back and smiled.
The light from the palace lanterns cast a warm yellow halo on her, making her look unreal.
Changle was in a daze for a moment, "Seven... No, I have to call you Li'er from now on!"
Qu Li's eyebrows curved, and she raised her hand and tapped her forehead, "Follow Wen Zhao and call me elder sister!"
Changle stuck out her tongue at her, "No way! Just call me Li'er!"
The two got on the carriage and went straight back to Wenzhaoyuan.
Qu Wenzhao has been very worried these past two days.
He wanted to go to the palace to beg for mercy countless times, but was stopped by Changle and Qiaozi. The reason was that if there was any problem with his legs again, they would not be able to explain to Qu Li.
Seeing her and Changle walking in talking and laughing, Qu Wenzhao rubbed his eyes hard.
"Eldest sister, are you really back?"
He looked Qu Li up and down, and confirmed that he was not injured. The heavy stone in his heart finally fell to the ground.
"Sister, are you hungry? I'll ask Qiaozi to prepare dinner!" Qu Wenzhao wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes with his sleeves while she wasn't paying attention.
"I accompanied the Empress Dowager to dinner before leaving the palace."
Qu Wenzhao and Changle both looked haggard, and her heart softened.
"I'm fine, I didn't suffer any hardship! But you two, take a good rest!"
"Sister, I'm fine!" Qu Wenzhao replied embarrassedly.
In the dim light in the yard, Qu Li still saw his red eyes.
This kid is crying?
"I'm fine too." Changle smiled and took her arm. "By the way, we need to send someone to the Bai Mansion."
"I really have to thank Ruo Wei this time."
On the way, Changle told her what Bai Ruowei had done. Qu Li planned to prepare some gifts tomorrow to thank those who helped her.
At first, she created a big network to get a divorce.
These people have all benefited from her to varying degrees and have all contributed this time.
It seemed like she was repaying a favor, but she knew that interpersonal relationships needed to be maintained.
"Okay, let's go and rest!" she urged the two of them.
After taking a bath, she was thinking about what to do next when there was suddenly a slight movement in the air.
She became alert, blew out the candle, hid by the window, and held a dagger in her hand that could cut through iron like mud.
The window was gently opened and a figure sneaked in.
Qu Li held his breath, holding the dagger and was about to stab the figure when a familiar voice came into his ears.
"Ms. Qu, it's me!"
Deputy Pavilion Master?
Qu Li frowned and put his hand down.
"Why are you here?"
"This is a gift from the Fifth Prince, sent to you by the Shadow Pavilion." The Deputy Pavilion Master placed a carved box on the table. "Please take a look at it later. I'm leaving now."
Qu Li looked at the box on the table in the dim light in the yard, his mind in turmoil.
It was not until the deputy pavilion master completely disappeared that she suddenly realized that the deputy pavilion master's attitude towards her was a little too familiar, as if he were just a stranger.
Could it be that he already knew that Passerby A was his alias?
Qu Li looked a little disheveled.
After sorting out her messy emotions, she simply held the small box and entered the space.
Goudan was sleeping beside the spiritual spring. When he saw her coming, he raised his eyelids, ran to her legs, and began to rub against her in a flattering manner.
"Be good!" She rubbed Goudan's head.
She thought that she would have to find time to pick up the tiger eggs tomorrow.
Goudan thought that the box contained something extraordinary, so he kept stretching his head to peek.
Qu Li pushed its head away and lowered his voice: "Be good, or I'll lock you up with the tiger eggs!"
Perhaps the threat was effective, Goudan tucked his tail between his legs and retreated to the edge of the Lingquan Pond in a sullen manner, whimpering at Qu Li in grievance.
She held the lid of the box with both hands, feeling a little curious and expectant.
The lid of the box slowly opened, and her eyes suddenly became moist and hot.
…
Xiao Xian knew everything that happened in the capital. He felt like he was suffocating from the pain in his heart, and waves of fishy and sweet taste rose in his throat, but he forced himself to suppress them.
The flickering candlelight made his eyes look even darker.
Guangping didn't dare to breathe.
"So, both father and grandmother agree?" He raised his eyes slowly, his voice as hoarse as rough sandpaper.
"That's right! After all, no one would have thought that the people of the capital, as well as those poor students, would petition for the princess!"
The fishy and sweet taste kept surging in the throat, and with a "wow" sound, it gushed out.
The scarlet color looked extremely glaring under the candlelight.
Guangping was horrified, "Your Majesty!"
Xiao Xian's eyes were filled with darkness, and he felt as if he was floating in the clouds.
"Imperial Physician Tang!"
Imperial Physician Tang hurried into the room, his eyes quickly swept across the pool of blood on the ground, and then he stepped forward with the silver needle bag.
Rong Yehua naturally followed in, and his pupils contracted when he saw this.
"King Chen!"
Even though Xiao Xian didn't like her, even though Xiao Xian felt that it was all because of her that he and Qu Li were like this, she still couldn't help but want to get close to him and care about him.
Imperial Physician Tang held a silver needle in his hand and said, "Princess Yehua, please leave first. Don't delay me from treating Prince Chen!"
"Imperial Physician Tang, you must cure Prince Chen!"
Guangping raised his eyes and glanced at Rong Yehua, who was looking at him with concern.
Although she used dishonorable means, her true feelings for the prince could not be faked.
The prince has tried every possible way to warm the princess' heart during this period, but the final result is that the princess is determined to divorce the prince!
The prince was wrong, but he shouldn't be sentenced to death directly, right?
"I will do my best!" replied Imperial Physician Tang.
