"You people, come out!"
The jailer guarding the death row walked in and said expressionlessly.
Some of the timid eunuchs were so scared that they peed their pants, and their cries and pleas for mercy were heard one after another.
"Shut the fuck up!" the jailer shouted.
"Sir, this really has nothing to do with me! How could I possibly murder the Empress Dowager?" A eunuch burst into tears.
Imperial Physician Liu also took the opportunity to cry out, "Yes, I have no reason to murder the Empress Dowager! Now that you've found out it was these eunuchs who murdered the Empress Dowager, why won't you let me go?"
"Deputy Judge Liu, it was my father who ordered you thrown into death row. Even though you're making such a fuss now, I can't possibly go against my father's wishes!"
Xiao Xian stood at the entrance of the death row, with a tall figure and stern eyes.
Imperial Physician Liu's mouth dropped open, his entire body utterly dejected. "Prince Chen, could you please tell the Emperor? I've taken pulses for the empresses and nobles of various palaces over the years. Even if I haven't done anything meritorious, I've certainly worked hard. I absolutely don't deserve this imprisonment!"
Xiao Xian glared at him expressionlessly, "Why should I?"
"Your Highness, you are Prince Chen!" Imperial Physician Liu felt aggrieved.
"But I don't want to! If you insist on asking for a reason, think carefully about how you treat my princess!"
Imperial Physician Liu's mouth dropped open. "Your Highness, you are taking personal revenge and deliberately targeting me!"
"So what even if it's a personal vendetta?" A cold gleam flashed across Xiao Xian's eyes.
"I want to see the emperor! Prince Chen is killing loyal and good people!" Imperial Physician Liu howled in frustration.
"Imperial Physician Liu, I'd like to let you die knowingly, how about that?"
There was a hint of smile on Xiao Xian's lips, but the smile did not reach his eyes. In this gloomy death cell, it only made people feel a chill penetrating into their bones.
