Chapter 11

Chapter 11

"I found the door." Xie stopped, frowned, and a hint of confusion appeared on his handsome face.

Since ghosts can hide elevators, why not just hide the offices?

Jing Xiebai noticed Xie Que's pause, walked forward, casually pulled out a bright lantern talisman, and injected spiritual power into it.

The light blue light dispelled the darkness, and Jing Xiebai looked at the door in front of him in the light.

"Do you want to open the door?" Xie Que lowered his head and stared at the handle, then turned sideways and moved closer to Jing Xiebai.

The light golden thread connecting the two people is extremely thin and difficult to detect without careful observation.

Xie heaved a sigh of relief.

Jing Xiebai noticed his action and didn't say much. He just put his hand forward to make sure that Xie Que could see it when he lowered his head.

After meeting up in the dark, it was time to first confirm the authenticity of the teammates. Jing Xiebai didn't often team up with others, so he hadn't considered it all.

"Open the door, and be careful."

The purpose of bringing Xie Que along for this ghost exorcism is to train his abilities. Jing Xiebai does not intend to do everything by himself.

"Yeah." Xie took a step back, a little further away from the door. Without much hesitation, he pushed the door open.

The scene before him made him a little confused.

Behind the door were not offices, but several tall buildings.

The wind whistled in his ears, but Xie looked down and found that he was high in the sky.

There were lights on in the tall buildings in the distance, and there were many pedestrians on the ground. However, Xie had good eyesight and recognized the aunt selling pancakes downstairs from the company.

?

What is going on here?

Xie leaned forward, wanting to see more. He was a little confused about what was going on.

When Jing Xiebai saw Xie Que's actions, his heart trembled, and he quickly reached out to pull Xie Que back.

"What are you doing? Are you courting death?" Jing Xiebai frowned, his face stern, his voice colder than ever before.

Jing Xiebai withdrew his hand from Xie Que's shoulder, crossed it in front of his chest, leaned against the wall, and a hint of displeasure flashed in his eyes.

He came here to train Xie Que, not to let him die.

Xie met Jing Xiebai's gaze and scratched his head embarrassedly.

ā€œI…..Fuck!ā€

Xie felt a powerful push and fell forward uncontrollably. In a panic, he could only grab the edge of the glass door to steady himself.

The incident happened too quickly. Jing Xiebai threw down the lantern talisman in his hand, reached forward to grab Xie Que with one hand, and tore out a piece of talisman paper with the other hand and threw it back.

The talisman hit something, and a foul smell of burning wafted through the air. Jing Xiebai pulled Xie Que back and closed the door behind him.

He turned around, pursed his lips, and his face was solemn.

"Could it be those little ghosts?" Xie touched the glass door behind him with lingering fear. If he had not been quick-eyed and quick-handed, he would have been smashed into a pulp.

Jing Xiebai did not answer Xie Que's question. He found the few bright lamp talismans he had on him, lit them and threw them around.

The pale blue light illuminated a small area in front of the two people, but Xie used the light to see the huge monster in front of him.

Hundreds of little ghosts piled up together, biting each other. The little ghosts that were bitten did not reveal any blood or flesh, but instead became red-eyed snakes spitting out their tongues. The red-eyed snakes were constantly eaten by the little ghosts and kept crawling out of the little ghosts' bodies.

The snake and the imp formed a strange balance, but the light emitted by the burning lantern talisman broke this balance.

The little ghosts noticed Jing Xiebai and Xie Que, stopped biting, let out harsh laughter, and quickly approached the two of them.

"Use the talisman!" Jing Xiebai shouted.

Xie reacted quickly, dodged the snake sideways and threw out a talisman paper.

As the talisman paper approached the little ghosts, a burst of fire burst out. The little ghosts let out painful howls and rushed towards Xie Que while screaming.

Xie Que and Jing Xiebai kept changing positions and their hands kept moving, but the number of little ghosts in front of them did not decrease, and was even increasing at a frightening speed.

Xie felt a little tricky. These little ghosts were not afraid of the talismans at all. Even if they were burned black, they did not slow down at all.

"Are you sure the talisman paper will work on puppets?" Xie felt a little regretful. He had just found a job and encountered such a thing. He wondered if he had violated some heavenly rules, otherwise how could he be so unlucky.

Jing Xiebai was also very puzzled as to what on earth this boss was offering that was so weird.

If the situation continued like this, the talisman paper would be used up before the evil spirit was found. Thinking of the purpose of this exorcism, Jing Xiebai stopped throwing the talisman paper. He opened his right hand, and faint blue stars gathered in his palm, and a long sword with a black blade appeared in his hand.

The sword was three feet long, with a red stone on the guard. The tip of the sword was extremely sharp. With the light from the lantern talisman, Xie could easily see the Taotie engraved on the sword.

Taotie opened its mouth wide, looking extremely ferocious, as if it was about to walk out of the sword in the next second.

Jing Xiebai swung his sword and slashed at the little ghost. A burst of thunder sounded, and a white light illuminated the entire office. The little ghost let out a heartbreaking cry. The white light flashed, and the little ghost disappeared, even the black energy disappeared, and the office lights came on.

Xie opened his mouth but didn't know what to say. It took him a long time to react.

"Are we back to the normal world?" Xie asked uncertainly. He opened the glass door again. This time, what appeared behind the door was no longer high in the sky, but a normal office.

Jing Xiebai let go of his hand, and the sword turned into a blue star and disappeared.

"Well," Jing Xiebai said a little tiredly, "that was another dimension just now. I shattered it with my sword. Now we are back to normal time and space."

Thinking of the sword just now, Xie had a lot of questions to ask, but now was obviously not a good time. Xie remembered that there was still an evil ghost that had not been dealt with.

"Let's go in and take a look."

Jing Xiebai always had a bad feeling, and he felt that he had to hurry up and complete this commission.

"Yeah." Xie walked in first.

The company had just moved in and the office was very empty, but Xie turned the place upside down in less than five minutes.

"Why is there nothing here?" Xie stood in the middle of the office, looking at the desk in front of him with a puzzled look.

It was too clean, even if it had just been moved in, it shouldn't have been this clean. Most importantly, Xie couldn't find any trace of any offerings. Jing Xiebai thought his boss had placed something dirty in the place, but there wasn't even a trace of anything needed for an offering.

"Try using the developing talisman." Jing Xiebai didn't come in, but leaned against the door frame to guide Xie Que.

Xie Que glanced at Jing Xiebai, took out a development talisman from his pocket, injected spiritual energy into it, and threw it casually on the ground.

A huge fire suddenly broke out on the ground, but Xie moved a few steps to the side to avoid being burned by the fire.

The fire went out quickly, and a circle with a strange shape appeared under Xie Que's feet.

However, Xie recognized that this was a connecting array that could connect two different spaces together.

Jing Xiebai stood up straight and walked towards Xie Que with a confident smile on his face.

Jing Xiebai has a rather fierce look. His phoenix eyes are full of charm when he smiles, but when he lowers his eyes and looks at you, you feel a sense of danger, like a beast staring at you. Now, with this flamboyant smile, he even looks a bit more youthful.

"Let's go, set up the formation!" Jing Xiebai rarely received such interesting commissions since he graduated from university. This time he just wanted to exorcise ghosts casually, but he didn't expect to meet such a top-notch one.

Xie was a little speechless when he saw Jing Xiebai, who was excitedly starting the battle next to him. He felt like he was on a pirate ship and couldn't get off.

Jing Xiebai changed his previous careless look, exuding joy from head to toe, and he set up the formation in no time.

Looking at the red light from the connection array, Xie Que was inexplicably reminded of Jing Xiebai's sword. The red stone on that sword seemed to have magical powers, which made Xie Que unconsciously observe it.

Taotie is the leader of the four ferocious beasts. The sword is engraved with a ferocious beast, so you can imagine how powerful this sword is.

Xie looked at Jing Xiebai, thinking about when to find him to ask about the sword. The Jing family has many magical weapons, and the sword in Jing Xiebai's hand might be a family heirloom.

Jing Xiebai didn't care about Xie Que's twists and turns in his mind. After setting up the formation, he asked Xie Que to pull him together.

"If nothing unexpected happens, we will fall directly into that space. Be careful and don't fall." After saying that, without waiting for Xie Que to answer, he pulled Xie Que and jumped into the formation together.

After a rapid descent, Xie closed his eyes involuntarily and waited for several minutes before returning to the ground.

Despite making preparations in advance, Xie did not fall.

He opened his eyes and what he saw was a strange-looking statue.
