Chapter 110 Departure from Beijing

After finishing their meal, Song Zhe and Su Tian strolled leisurely to the police station, then pushed their bicycles as they walked to their residence.

He took out his keys, opened the door, and let Su Tian push the car inside.

The two continued chatting in the main room when Su Tian suddenly asked, "How's your investigation on the cultural relics line going?"

"We put in a tremendous amount of effort on this operation, but we only caught small fry."

Those truly valuable clues are like cunning eels, elusive and hard to grasp.

"Don't worry, we'll eradicate them completely. Do you need to pack your bags? Isn't it very cold in Beijing in November?"

"Yes, it's already quite cold in Beijing at this time of year."

Do you have any warm clothes in your storage bag? Remember to bring them with you.

I'll only bring one jacket; I'll go home to stay when I get to Beijing.

"Can you live with me at my house too?" Song Zhe asked Su Tian expectantly.

"Oh, is that convenient? Who lives in your household?"

"My grandparents, my parents, and a cook at home."

There are guest rooms available. If you don't prefer the guest rooms, you can sleep in my room.

Song Zhe felt a surge of excitement; he believed Su Tian would go.

"Would your family like a stranger moving in?" Su Tian asked.

"How can you be a stranger? You're my best friend, my only one."

Song Zhe looked at Su Tian in front of him and said gently.

'You are not only my only friend, but also my only female friend,' Song Zhe said to himself deep down.

Su Tian was taken aback when she heard Song Zhe say that, and then asked, "Don't you have any other female friends?"

"No, it's just you."

"They don't like you?"

"No, it's that I don't like them; they're too noisy."

"Then won't I make a fuss?" Su Tian asked again.

"You're very nice, not making a fuss," Song Zhe said with a smile.

"Oh, you can arrange it. You can stay anywhere."

He knew Su Tian would agree. She had always been a straightforward and honest girl, never acting coy, pretentious, or disgusting.

He would give a cold look whenever he saw girls from the military's cultural troupe from afar, preventing them from getting close to him.

Song Zhe glanced at his watch and realized it was already 7 p.m. He looked at Su Tian and asked, "Do you want to take a shower? I'll go boil some water for you now."

"No need, I'll teleport to some other space to wash up," Su Tian said mysteriously.

"Okay, I'll go to my room first to get my clothes. I'll sleep at Lu Yu's place tonight, and you can sleep at mine."

Su Tian waited until Song Zhe brought out the clothes, then went into his room and closed the door.

She immediately entered the space, took off her clothes, and went inside to soak in the hot spring.

She got up after soaking for twenty minutes. She was wearing a white cotton nightgown, the length of which was just enough to cover her knees.

While there was still time, she went up to the second floor to look at a Chinese herbal medicine pharmacopoeia.

As she looked at it, she gently traced the words on the pharmacopoeia with her fingers, muttering to herself, not missing a single drug name, efficacy, or combination.

Suddenly, she realized that she had memorized everything after only reading it once.

This is truly amazing! She read at a faster pace, and the more she read, the more she remembered, and she memorized it all firmly.

This was far more painful than the struggle she faced in her university days, where she had to memorize the names and effects of medicines.

Two hours later, I finished reading the Chinese herbal medicine pharmacopoeia.

She slipped out of the space and lay down on the bed.

I hadn't even been lying down for two minutes when there was a knock on the door.

Did Song Zhe want to see her again? She got up and opened the door, and saw Song Zhe standing at the door.

"Song Zhe, you're still awake? Is something the matter?"

As soon as Su Tian opened the door, Song Zhe saw her with long hair and exposed calves, looking very charming. He never knew that a fairy could be this beautiful.

He restrained himself, originally only wanting to see if she was asleep, but who knew she would be so beautiful.

He couldn't help but ask, "Did you dress like this at night when you were at the educated youth settlement?"

"No, there are too many people and too much gossip at the educated youth settlement. They all sleep in the clothes they wear during the day, usually short sleeves and long pants."

"Is this pajama set ugly? Is it ugly?" Su Tian asked, puzzled.

"No, it looks great," Song Zhe said indulgently.

"Of course, I still have a lot of faith in my judgment. How could the clothes I picked be ugly? Is there anything else?"

"That's all, you should go to sleep early."

"Okay, goodnight!" Su Tian said to Song Zhe with a smile.

Back in bed, Song Zhe thought for a while before Su Tian fell asleep.

Su Tian got up promptly at seven o'clock in the morning.

She opened the door to her room and found Song Zhe sitting in the main room.

"You got up so early? I've already bought breakfast."

"Okay, you can eat after you wash up."

"Okay, please have a seat."

After Su Tian finished speaking, she went to wash up. A short while later, she sat down at the table and started eating.

After finishing her meal, Su Tian took out several thick sweaters, fleece-lined sweatshirts, thick coats, scarves, gloves, and daily necessities from her spatial storage and stuffed them into her luggage bag. These were all sent to her by her mother, Wang Lin.

She then took out two glass bottles with lids from her spatial storage, filled them with spiritual spring water, and put them in her small backpack.

"Song Zhe, where's your thick coat?"

"What's wrong?" Song Zhe asked, handing her his coat.

"It's nothing, just bring one and put it with mine."

After Su Tian finished speaking, she helped Song Zhe tuck his clothes inside.
