Chapter 114 The Song Family Father and Son's Secret Talk in the Study

Shen Jingqiu watched all this with satisfaction; her good son had finally learned how to please girls.

But she noticed that Su Tian's eyes didn't have the look one would give a lover. Could it be that Xiao Zhe was still in a one-sided love and hadn't confessed his feelings?

Seeing that he had been sitting for a while, Song Yuanyi asked, "Xiao Zhe, how many days do you plan to stay this time?"

Song Zhe looked at his father and replied, "I don't know yet. Let's leave after we've finished dealing with this."

He glanced at the wall clock and realized it was getting late, so he wanted to take Su Tian upstairs to bed as soon as possible.

"Grandpa, Grandma, Mom, Dad, and Cousin, it's getting late. I'll take Su Tian upstairs to rest first. Please have a seat for a while."

"Okay, go ahead. Taking the train is tiring, so get some rest early," Grandpa Song said.

Su Tian also spoke up, "Elders, I'll go upstairs now. Thank you for your hospitality tonight."

"Alright, sweet girl, go ahead, don't be shy," Grandma Song said with a chuckle.

Song Zhe led Su Tian upstairs to his room. Standing at the door, he said softly, "If anything happens tonight, you can come to my room next door. I didn't lock the door, so just come in and call me."

If you're having trouble sleeping or can't fall asleep, you can come to the next room to chat with me, and I'll keep you company.

"Okay, I'll remember that, Xiao Zhe."

Su Tian reached out and patted his head while smiling broadly. This little brother is so nice; I wish he were my biological brother.

Looking into Su Tian's eyes, Song Zhe wondered how he could see such affection in them. They looked like his grandparents'.

"Why are you calling me Xiao Zhe too? That's what elders call me," Song Zhe said helplessly.

"I feel more intimate calling you Xiao Zhe. Would you like to call me 'sister'?"

Song Zhe was taken aback. How did it turn into calling her "sister" again?

He asked cautiously, "Do you like me calling you 'sister'? Aren't you only 17? I'm 20."

"I like to hear you call out to me, is that okay?" Su Tian looked at him expectantly.

"Okay, I'll call it."

Song Zhe took a deep breath and softly called out, "Sister."

Su Tian found the two words "sister" uttered by Song Zhe in a deep voice to sound even more beautiful.

"Oh, so good. Xiao Zhe, we'll talk about those artifacts again tomorrow morning. Goodnight for now."

"You should go to bed early too. If you need any help, feel free to come to me and I'll help you." Su Tian said playfully.

"Okay, see you tomorrow. Lock the door."

After listening to Song Zhe's words, Su Tian waved to him and closed the door in the blink of an eye.

Song Zhe stood at the door of the room, still recalling Su Tian's words praising him for being good. It was like praising a puppy. She called him Xiao Zhe, and he still felt a little uncomfortable.

Fine, let her call him whatever she likes, let him call her "sister" if he wants, whatever she likes. Song Zhe is really tolerant of Su Tian.

Su Tian lay on the bed and saw that it was already nine o'clock. She hurried into the wooden house to study pharmacy.

She planned to use this time to finish her studies and see if she could make some health-strengthening pills for Song Zhe's family.

If she makes it, she can send it back to her parents and grandparents in Guangdong Province.

She didn't bring any gifts for Song Zhe's elders, as they had plenty of things available elsewhere. She wanted to give them something they didn't have.

For example, she can only speed up her studies to get rid of things like health-strengthening pills, heat-clearing and detoxifying pills, and beauty pills.

Five hours of study inside the space is equivalent to one hour outside the space.

She studied with extra focus, and when she got tired or sleepy, she would drink the spiritual spring water to refresh herself.

After Song Zhe went downstairs, his family members were still sitting downstairs waiting for him.

"Aren't you going to wash up and go to bed? Grandpa and Grandma, it's getting late, hurry up and wash up and rest. I'll chat with you again tomorrow morning."

"You little rascal, do you like that girl Su Tian?" Grandpa Song couldn't help but ask to confirm.

"Hmm." Song Zhe simply hummed in response.

"I can see that. You made it too obvious. But how come that girl didn't notice?" Grandpa Song asked curiously.

"I don't know either, Grandpa and Grandma, please don't let it slip and scare her away," Song Zhe instructed.

"Okay, we understand. You can make your own decisions."

“Yes, Xiao Zhe, we won’t interfere in your affairs. You’re all grown up now and can handle things on your own,” Shen Qingqiu continued.

"Okay, thank you all," Song Zhe said gratefully.

"Alright, Mom and Dad, you should go wash up and go to bed. Xiao Zhe and I have something to talk about, let's go to the study first," Song Yuanyi said.

In Song Zhe's house, there are five rooms on the second floor: one for him, one for his parents, one guest room, two studies, one for his grandfather, and one for his father.

The first floor has four rooms plus a living room, one for his grandparents, one for the housekeeper, one for a storage room, and one for a guest room.

"Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle and Aunt, it's time for me to go back."

"Okay, be careful on your way back, Xiao Mu, you've had a hard night."

After listening to his grandmother's instructions, Qin Mu turned and left. His family also lived in a nearby apartment building; his mother was Song Zhe's father's older sister, and Song Zhe called her aunt.

Song Zhe and his father went to his study. The two sat at the table, and he waited quietly for his father to speak.

"What brings you back this time?" Song Yuanyi asked his son.

"We came back to escort a batch of antiques and cultural relics, which were intercepted in Qinzhou Town some time ago."

"Oh, who are the people smuggling these?"

"They're all small fry and Vietnamese spies. We've caught a lot of the underlings, but the big fish are still hiding."

“These people are truly hateful. How did you manage to transport them?” Song Yuanyi continued to ask.

"It's a secret, I can't tell you for now. Dad, send me a car when the time comes, I'll take the artifacts to the museum, and I've also acquired several radios, which I'll hand over to you then."

"Was it Su Tian who helped? It doesn't seem like it?" Song Yuanyi asked Song Zhe with some suspicion.

Song Zhe didn't speak, but he also stared at his father with a suspicious look. The expressions of the two father and son were somewhat identical.

"Okay, I understand. I'll keep it a secret. I'll have someone bring a car and park it at the gate of the compound for you tomorrow morning."

What kind of look is that? I'm your father, don't you trust me?

Song Yuanyi was almost driven mad by his son. He had always loved his son the most since he was a child. He was his only son, so how could he dare to harm him?

If you lose your temper with this kid, his grandparents will scold him. His grandparents are also his parents, so why do they scold him instead of their grandson?

"Alright, it's getting late, you should go back now." Song Yuanyi waved his hand, gesturing for Song Zhe to leave the study.

"This kid's lucky," Song Yuanyi chuckled in his study.

Song Zhe left the study, went to the door of his room, stood there for a while, and then went into the guest room next door.
