Chapter 121 A Very Precious Meeting Gift

As dawn breaks, the morning sun slowly rises.

Grandma Song sat on the sofa downstairs, looking radiant. She sat there contentedly, waiting for Song Zhe and Su Tian to get up.

"Xiao Zhe, get up. Come here, I have something to tell you."

"Good morning, Grandma. Where's Grandpa?"

"Your grandpa went out for a walk, and I was thinking of giving this to Sweetie as a gift. Do you think she'll like it?"

"let me see."

Song Zhe sat down, picked up the wooden box in his hand, and opened it to take a look.

Inside the wooden box, which exudes a faint, rustic woody fragrance, lies a white jade bracelet and pendant with a warm and translucent texture.

"Is this carved from mutton fat jade?" Song Zhe asked his grandmother.

"Yes, I've kept it hidden for a long time, and I'm only now secretly taking it out for you to give to Tian'er. I haven't even told your mother about this," Grandma Song said kindly.

Song Zhe smiled and looked at his grandmother, asking softly, "Are you willing to give her to her? She's just my friend right now."

"Oh, what's there to be reluctant about? I can see you care about her a lot. Grandma has high hopes for you, so keep up the good work."

Just as the two were getting into a lively conversation, Su Tian came downstairs.

"Good morning, Grandma Song, Song Zhe."

"Sweetie, get up and come have breakfast," Grandma Song said with a smile to Su Tian.

"Okay, have you eaten? Would you like to eat together?"

"I've already eaten. You two eat first, I'm going out for a stroll."

"Come on, let's sit down."

Song Zhe brought breakfast out of the kitchen and placed it on the table for Su Tian. The two sat down and ate together.

"Would you like to go for a walk after we finish eating?" Song Zhe asked Su Tian.

"Okay, let's go shopping and buy some things to take back with us."

After Su Tian finished eating, Song Zhe handed her the wooden box he was holding.

"Here you go, Grandma asked me to give this to you."

"What is that?"

Su Tian looked at the antique wooden box, opened it, and took a look inside.

It turned out to be a bracelet and a jade pendant. Looking at such precious items, she was a little suspicious.

"Is this really for me?" Su Tian looked at Song Zhe suspiciously.

"Yes, Grandma gave it to me just now and asked me to give it to you."

"Why are you all so good to me? You gave me all your wealth, and your grandmother gave me such a precious thing."

Seeing Su Tian's puzzled look, Song Zhe smiled and said, "It's nothing, you don't need to overthink it. It's just a gift for you."

"Who would give such an expensive gift as a greeting?"

"Do you like my home?"

"I like it, but..."

"No buts, hurry up and put it away. I'll give you something nice next time; I have plenty of these things at home, you know."

"Okay, thank you all." Su Tian said with a smile to Song Zhe.

"I'll go upstairs to get my bag first, wait for me a moment."

After Su Tian finished speaking, she hurriedly went upstairs.

She put the wooden box into her storage space as soon as she entered the room, picked up the small backpack from the stool, and went out.

"Are we going to the department store?" Song Zhe asked Su Tian as he got into the car.

"Yes, let's go there and take a look around first."

"Here's the money and tickets, take them and use them wisely." Song Zhe stuffed all the money and tickets he had into Su Tian's hands.

"I'll take the ticket. I don't need the money; I have my own. You can use it for self-defense. How can a man not have money on him?"

"Okay, I'll do as you say."

Song Zhe stared intently at the road ahead, his hands firmly gripping the steering wheel, skillfully driving towards the department store.

Su Tian's face showed a hint of anticipation and excitement. She wanted to know how the Beijing Department Store in this era differed from those in other places.

She kept glancing out the car window at the bustling street scene. As the vehicle drew closer to the department store, the surrounding noise became increasingly clear.

Finally, Song Zhe brought the car to a steady stop in front of the department store.

The two of them got out of the car, and Su Tian looked up at the tall building in front of her.

The first floor of the department store was bustling with people. The sturdy and tall pillars at the entrance exuded an air of authority.

The sign above the main gate is eye-catching and dignified, shining brightly in the sunlight.

"Let's go inside and browse the first floor first."

Su Tian and Song Zhe walked side by side into the first floor, where rows of neat shelves were filled with all kinds of daily necessities.

The products include food, daily necessities, cosmetics, ceramics, stationery, and labor supplies.

Su Tian picked out some pastries unique to Beijing and bought five portions in total. She gave one portion to her parents and grandparents, and another portion each to Aunt Chunni, Ma Chunling, and the grandfather in the cowshed.

After Su Tian gave them the money and tickets, the two planned to go upstairs to browse.

"Let's go take a look around the second floor."

Song Zhe helped carry the things, and he followed Su Tian upstairs.

The second floor sells clothing, textiles, fabrics, knitwear, shoes, hats, bags, and other similar items.

Su Tian picked out a thick coat for her parents and grandparents, and also picked out a sweater and scarf for Song Zhe.

"Here, this is what I picked out for you. Do you like it?"

Su Tian held up the sweater to Song Zhe, trying it on to see if it fit.

Song Zhe watched without moving as Su Tian held up the clothes against him, feeling very happy.

He had made up his mind: even if she bought clothes for an old man, he would still wear them, because they were picked out by his little fairy!

Su Tian knew she had the best taste; it was a perfect match, and the color suited him very well.
