Chapter 18 Beachcombing

The octopus releases more water as it's cooked, and the meat gradually shrinks. After stir-frying for five minutes, add soy sauce and salt, stir-fry again, and then remove from the pan.

It smelled wonderful, and Ma Chunling and her fellow educated youth were busily preparing food.

The others were a little reluctant to let He Hua and Chen Gang eat; the two of them had collected less than a bowl of snails from their beachcombing trip, which was quite unusual for the educated youth settlement.

Everyone secretly decided to wait two days until the food was distributed, and then send the two of them out to cook. They were lazy at work and earned very few work points. If they ate with them, they were afraid that they would feed them all and starve themselves. It was simply too unfair.

Su Tian was unaware of what the educated youth were thinking; at that moment, she was already eating mantis shrimp.

She popped the mantis shrimp into her mouth, sucked on the broth, and thought it was absolutely delicious.

After finishing her seafood, Su Tian let out a satisfied burp. She decided that she would work even harder at beachcombing in the future to bring back more seafood. Not only could she enjoy delicious food herself, but she could also exchange it for money or other goods.

Just then, a commotion arose outside the door. Su Tian opened the door and saw that He Hua and several other educated youths were arguing. Curious, she went over and listened for a while before realizing that the argument was about dividing the seafood.

Su Tian secretly rejoiced that she hadn't eaten with that despicable couple; she was able to eat more on her own.

Su Tian ignored the argument and kept the uneaten crabs and the remaining snails and octopuses in water, planning to eat them when she wanted.
