"Didn't Mom, Dad, my eldest brother, and my second eldest brother all work in a textile factory? How come they're now delivering manure and sweeping the streets? And my second eldest brother has also been sent to the countryside?"
Chen Gang asked in surprise, how could his family have changed so much in just six months of working in the countryside?
"Hmph, third brother, stop pretending. Isn't it your fault that the family has become like this?"
If I still don't have a job after the New Year, I'll have to go to the countryside too.
Chen Jin glared angrily at Chen Gang, thinking to himself, "This third brother is really good at pretending, and he does it so well."
"Second brother, I really don't know what's going on?" Chen Gang looked innocent, his heart filled with doubt and grievance.
"You're still trying to deny it! Not long after you went to the countryside, Mom, Dad, and my older brother were demoted and reassigned."
"Was it because you angered your family that they sent you to the countryside that you made Su Tian call her 'Mom and Dad' to get revenge on us?" Chen Jin said angrily.
Chen Gang's eyes widened. "How is that possible? When did I ask Su Tian to do this?"
"If you don't believe me, you can ask He Hua; she's with me every day."
"Yes, that's right. Chen Gang and Su Tian don't get along. How could he possibly get her to come? It's possible that she's trying to get revenge on you."
"Is it really as you say? Is Su Tian seeking revenge on us?"
Why is she seeking revenge on us? Third brother, did you marry this woman?
"Is Su Tian just thinking about getting revenge on us?"
"I don't know either. You're just speculating that she's retaliating against us, right? What if it wasn't her family who did it?"
Chen Jin thought about it and agreed; he could only wait for his father to come back before making a decision.
"Since Second Brother has gone to the countryside, are there any empty rooms at home? He Hua and I will sleep in those empty rooms."

At this moment, Chen's father returned after delivering the excrement.
"Boss, what are you doing sitting here daydreaming? Hurry up and cook some food."
"Dad, the third son is back, and he brought his wife with him."

"Dad, go ask him. He's inside. I'll go cook first."
"Third brother, come out here for a moment."
Chen Gang, who had just lain down, heard his father calling him and quickly got up and went to the door.
"You married He Hua?"

"Where's Su Tian? Didn't I tell you before we went to the countryside?"

"Why didn't you tell your family you were getting married?"

Upon hearing this, Mr. Chen remained silent, his face growing increasingly gloomy, before turning and entering the house.
Upon seeing this, Chen Gang ignored his father and turned to go inside.
"What did your dad say to you?" He Hua couldn't help but ask.
"Didn't say anything? Go out and help with the cooking." After saying that, Chen Gang lay back down on the bed.
"I'm not going. I'm a little tired from the car ride because I'm pregnant. I want to lie down for a while. Call me when the food is ready."
The two of them lay on the bed and fell asleep.
Chen Jin cooked the rice and left the vegetables for his mother to cook when she got home from work.
He rushed into the house to find his father, "Dad, what did the third brother say?"
"Hmph, saying we shouldn't expect to get anything from that girl Su Tian."
"What can we do then? If this happens, you won't be able to find work at the textile factory, and I'll have to go to the countryside too."
"This third brother came back from the countryside without bringing anything with him, and he still wants to eat and drink for free at home."
"I'll call him later, he'll go shovel and deliver manure tomorrow," Chen's father said with a gloomy face.
"Yes, that's how it should be. What's the point of turning down such a good partner and going after that dark-skinned girl?"
"Forget it, let's call them tomorrow. Calling them now will prevent them from eating all the food."
Early the next morning, Chen's father knocked on the door and called Chen Gang to get up, asking him to take his place in shoveling and delivering manure.
"Dad, I'm going to get up and have dinner first. It's so late, why are we cleaning out the latrines?" Chen Gang said groggily.
"It's already seven in the morning, get up quickly."
"It's dawn? I slept until the next day without even having dinner?"
"Dad, I can't do this job. Why don't you ask my older brother? He's just staying home doing nothing."

Chen Gang reluctantly got up, and although he was very unwilling, he still went.
Seeing this, He Hua was very dissatisfied, but dared not say anything.
After Chen Gang finished breakfast, his father took him to the place where they cleaned the latrines.
Before he even started, he was vomiting several times from the stench of the excrement.
"Dad, can I quit?" Chen Gang pleaded.

As Chen Gang watched his father walk away, his hatred grew stronger.
"Whoever wants to do it can do it? I'm not doing it." He sat down angrily, watching people come and go.
"Hey, what are you doing sitting here? Aren't you going to start?"
The administrator saw Chen Gang sitting on the ground and immediately asked.
“My dad did this job, you should talk to him.”
"You little rascal, your dad just came to see me. He said you've been covering for him lately because he's not feeling well and needs to rest."
You can't be unfilial; your family depends on this job to make a living.
Chen Gang listened to the administrator's incessant chatter and said impatiently, "Alright, I understand, I'll get to it now."
As soon as Chen Gang saw the latrine, he vomited uncontrollably. This was no job for a human being, what could he do?
