Sitting in the car, Xu Wen looked at Song Zhe's serious face and boldly asked the question that had been on his mind.
How did you capture him?
Song Zhe looked at him wistfully, "Thanks to you."
"Me? I didn't do anything."
Seeing his confused expression, Song Zhe didn't say anything more.
Half an hour later, the car arrived at the police station. Song Zhe and Xu Wen got out of the car and went inside together.
Song Zhe led him directly to another interrogation room, made him sit down, and asked, "Was your assignment to Songjia Village arranged by Yamamoto's men?"
"Yes, we are from a remote mountain village in Fujian Province, and I have no desire to go to the countryside."
He sent me here to investigate the treasure map.
"You listen to him so much, does he have some kind of leverage over you?"
Xu Wen looked at Song Zhe and then said, "Yes, he used my mother to threaten me."
If I don't comply, they will torture her.
Our village only has a dozen or so households, most of whom are people who lived there secretly after the war.
None of the nearby villagers noticed, and the people who remained spoke fluently, never imagining they were from a humble background.
Everyone assumed they had fled during the war and returned after it ended.
After listening to Xu Wen's words, Song Zhe pondered for a while. However, he then heard Xu Wen reveal something even more disheartening.
"Those dozen or so young men stayed there back then, got married and had children, and all of their wives were obtained through deception and trickery."
My mother was also abducted. My beastly father became addicted to alcohol during the war. He drank every day and would beat people after drinking.
Then one day, I got drunk, fell into the latrine, and drowned. Everyone thought my mother and I killed him.
So, a few years ago, Yamamoto somehow got the news.
Knowing that the other half of the treasure map was in Songjia Village, he used my mother to force me to go to the countryside.
That was all; he only came to see me four or five times.
"Every time I ask you to meet, it's at the bottom of that cliff?"
Xu Wen looked at Song Zhe's sharp eyes and couldn't help but ask in surprise, "How did you know?"
Do you know what's inside the cave at the bottom of the cliff?
Xu Wen shook his head. "I don't know. I've never been inside."
“You’ll take us back to your village. We’ll set off tomorrow. You can stay in our police station’s dormitory for now.”
"good."
Xu Wen replied with a smile, "After being sent to the countryside for several years, I can finally go home? Shouldn't I thank Su Tian's boyfriend? She's truly his benefactor."
If everyone in the village were arrested, he wanted to take his mother with him to the countryside in Guangxi Province, away from that place that caused her so much pain.
Song Zhe immediately went outside and dialed the phone number in his regimental commander's office.
After the call was connected, a calm voice came through the receiver.
"Hello, I am Zhou Jin."
"Commander, it is I, Song Zhe."
"Hey, it's you! You ran off without even saying goodbye, and now you're calling me?"
"Commander, where? I've already had Xiao Li ask you."
"You acted first and reported later, do you know that? Do you have something important to tell me?"
"Well, I caught a thug and seized dozens of boxes of guns and ammunition."
Furthermore, they were hiding in a remote mountain village in Fujian Province during the war, and came to Guangxi Province in search of a treasure map.
That small mountain village has more than a dozen households. Send some people over to haul the wooden crates back to the camp.

The next morning, as soon as Song Zhe got up, he found Lu Yu standing at the door.
"Good morning, Lao Song."
"Why did you come here too?"
"Oh dear, I brought the team back the day you left."
I'd only rested for a day or two when the regimental commander sent me here.
"Let's go, have you eaten?" Song Zhe asked Lu Yu beside him as they walked out of the courtyard.
"Not yet, that's why I came to find you. It's only seven o'clock, just as dawn is breaking."
"Where are they? Have they eaten?"
"Don't worry, I've already told them to go eat. If I hadn't been waiting for you, I would have eaten already."
Lu Yu put his arm around Song Zhe's shoulder, and the two walked together to the state-run restaurant.
Song Zhe was already used to Lu Yu's behavior. He had told him about it the first time they hitched a ride, but Lu Yu wouldn't listen and insisted on walking with him.
Later, Song Zhe realized that he wouldn't listen when called, so he kept him around.
After they finished breakfast, Song Zhe led Company Commander Li and the others to his yard to move the dozens of wooden crates.
"Old Song, you've done a great job this time! So many guns and ammunition!" Lu Yu said happily as he opened the package.
After they were all loaded into the car, Yamamoto was also put into the car.
"Battalion Commander, we're leaving now," Company Commander Li said to Song Zhe.
"Okay, be careful."
After Company Commander Li and his men left, Song Zhe and Lu Yu, along with seven other people, drove to Ning City. The group planned to take a train to Fujian Province.
Xu Wen couldn't believe it was real even after he boarded the train.
He really boarded the train back to Fujian Province? Haha... He was so excited.
