Chapter 271 Going to the Camp for the New Year

Liu Chunni walked to the telephone and was momentarily at a loss when she saw such a high-tech communication tool.

"Nephew, why don't you help me dial the number? I'm looking at it and I'm a little scared. I don't know how to start."

Everyone burst into laughter at Liu Chunni's frightened expression.

"Aunt Liu, let me massage you."

The captain smiled and walked to the telephone. "Aunt Liu, what's the number? Pick up the receiver."

"Okay, it's written on this paper, just press it according to it."

After the captain pressed the button, Liu Chunni heard the other person's voice a while later.

"Hello, I'm looking for Song Dacheng," Liu Chunni shouted loudly.

"Oh, is that so? Could you write down our village's phone number for me?"

He can call this number if he needs anything. Please write it down. Thank you so much!

"I'm done playing. Da Cheng isn't here. Here, nephew, is this enough?"

"Aunt Liu, that's enough. I'll have the accountant put today's phone bill on the books," the team leader said cheerfully.

"Liu Chunni, how's it going? Did you hear me clearly?" Ma Dazui squeezed in, his eyes shining as he asked.

“Clear, just like you’re speaking in my ear.” Liu Chunni nodded proudly.

"Oh, is that so? Should I call one for my son?" Ma Dazui was hesitating.

"Go ahead and make a call. Does the transport team have a telephone?"

When Ma Dazui saw Liu Chunni say that, he was immediately tempted. "I don't know if it's possible?"

"Don't know how to call? You don't have a number either, do you?"

"No, then let's do it next time. I'll ask him properly when he gets back." After saying that, Ma Dazui took out a handful of sunflower seeds from his pocket and handed them to Liu Chunni.

"Do you have anything else to do? If not, everyone can leave now and go home to clean. It's almost Chinese New Year."

Upon hearing the captain's words, everyone agreed and headed home.

Time slips away quietly, like a gentle breeze.

On the morning of New Year's Eve, Su Tian packed her things and rode her bicycle to town.

She parked her bicycle in the yard and then went to catch a bus to Xishi.

Knowing that Su Tian was coming, Song Zhe cleaned the dormitory early in the morning, even washing and drying the quilts and sheets.

"Old Song, do you want me to go with you to pick up Su Zhiqing?" Lu Yu put his arm around Song Zhe's shoulder, and the two walked to the car together.

"No need, I can go by myself."

"Alright, since you don't need it, I'll go train."

"Um."

After watching Song Zhe's car drive away, Lu Yu turned around and ran towards the training ground.

"Deputy Regiment Commander, why are you the only one who came? Where is Regiment Commander Song?"

"Oh, him? He went to pick up his wife. You guys hurry up and train. You don't need to train anymore this afternoon. We're going to have a big meal in the canteen."

"good."

Everyone responded in unison, and Lu Yu took the lead and started running.

When Song Zhe arrived at the Xixing City station, he parked the car and patiently waited for Su Tian to arrive.

Half an hour later, Song Zhe saw the bus from Qinzhou to Xixing City parked at the station entrance.

He immediately got off the bus and hurriedly walked to the bus door. Su Tian spotted him immediately from inside the bus.

Su Tian noticed that several young girls on the bus became shy when they saw Song Zhe.

She couldn't help but smile as she carried her luggage; this eye-catching bag would make her the center of attention wherever she went.

After Su Tian got out of the car, Song Zhe immediately took her luggage.

"Susu, you've worked hard. Are you tired?"

Song Zhe looked at her with heartache, his hand unconsciously reaching out to touch her hair.

"Ah Zhe, I'm not tired. Seeing you makes me feel much more energetic."

Seeing the girls' disappointed looks, Su Tian whispered, "Look over there, there are a few girls staring at you."

"I don't want to look. I can't even keep up with looking at you, how can I have time to look at others! Come on, I'll take you to eat."

"Haha, okay."

With one hand carrying luggage and the other holding Su Tian's hand, Song Zhe got into the car and drove to the entrance of the state-run restaurant.

Upon entering the state-run restaurant, they found it quite crowded. Song Zhe found a window seat, put his luggage down, and then let Su Tian sit down.

"Su Su, what would you like to eat?" Song Zhe asked with a smile. Su Tian looked at the menu and ordered a few home-style dishes.

The dishes were served quickly, and the two ate and chatted.

“Susu, your family called and asked if we’re going back to Beijing for the New Year. Your grandparents said they miss you a lot.”

"I miss them too, but this year I only want to spend time with you."

If I go back, I won't want you to be here alone.

“I’ll miss you too. My parents can spend the New Year with my grandparents, so you can stay with me in the camp.”

After they finished eating, they got into the car together, and half an hour later, they returned to the camp.

"Su Su, I've cleaned the dorm room, and I've even washed the blankets."

"You're amazing. If we were in the dorm, I would at least give you a kiss," Su Tian said, praising him.

"Really? Then let's hurry up, I can't wait."

"Ah Zhe, why are you walking so fast? People will laugh at us if they see us."

"Let them laugh it off. I have some good news for you: I got promoted."

"After I became the group leader, I applied for a one-bedroom apartment so you could stay more comfortably."

"Then hurry back and take a look."

"good."

Song Zhe took Su Tian back to the new house, and he opened the door to let Su Tian in.

Seeing the simply yet cozy living room, Su Tian couldn't help but tease, "You even knew to buy a tablecloth for this table?"

"Su Su, don't underestimate me. After being with you for so many years, I know your preferences very well."
