The man looked up at the dark figure that suddenly appeared on the ground, and was immediately startled.
"Who are you? What do you want?"
Song Zhe looked at him coldly, "I also want to ask you what you're doing?"
Su Tian crossed her arms and stared at him. "Exactly, what are you doing hiding here so early in the morning?"
"What can I do? I'm just here taking pictures of the scenery in the mountains."
"And the festive atmosphere of the village during the Spring Festival, is that not allowed? Who said we can't take pictures?" the man said righteously.
At this moment, Song Zhe looked at him coldly and said, "I strongly suspect that you are an enemy agent who is secretly taking photos of military bases and sensitive facilities."
I have the right to request to see your camera; please cooperate fully.
Su Tian looked at Song Zhe with her bright eyes and found that he looked really handsome when he was seriously handling things. His aura was really strong, which was very different from when she was alone with him.
When the two of them were having private matters, Song Zhe always acted like a scoundrel, unlike now, when he was all serious.
No wonder women like him no matter where he is.
"Who are you? What right do you have to look? I'm just taking some pictures of the scenery, who's bothered?"
Song Zhe looked at the man glaring at them, his expression tense.
So he took out his military officer's ID card from his pocket. The middle-aged man saw it and, in an instant, tried to run away with his camera.
"You're trying to escape? Where can you escape to? Come back with us."
Just as Song Zhe was about to put his ID in his pocket, Su Tian took it from him.
"I'm not going! Let me go right now! I'm just taking pictures of the scenery, you have no right to arrest me..."
"We'll release you once we've checked the camera and found nothing wrong."
Song Zhe grabbed the back of his collar and returned to the camp with Su Tian.
"Lu Yu, come here for a moment."
Lu Yu, who was about to go to his office, was stopped by Song Zhe's voice.
"Old Song, what's wrong?"
Lu Yu quickly walked up to them, and Song Zhe said, "This person hid near the camp and took a lot of photos. Go and process them. We have something to do and need to go out for a bit."
"Okay, leave it to me."
Lu Yu dragged the middle-aged man toward the interrogation room.
As Song Zhe watched Lu Yu walk away, he turned around and found Su Tian quietly looking at his ID.
"Susu, is it pretty?" His cold voice suddenly softened.
"Beautiful, my son Zhe's photos are all so captivating."
Song Zhe originally wanted to touch Su Tian's hair, but after grabbing that man's collar, he suddenly felt very dirty.
"Susu, wait for me here, I'm going to wash my hands first."
"Okay, go quickly." Su Tian said, then continued looking at his photos.
A short while later, Song Zhe came over and said, "Let's go out for a walk again."
"Agreed. Let's see what the New Year's atmosphere is like in this village."
Nothing more happened between them, and they easily arrived at an old-fashioned village.
“Every household has put up Spring Festival couplets, and there’s mugwort hanging on the threshold.” Su Tian looked around.
“Their village does this every year; I heard that mugwort is used to ward off evil spirits.”
The ground was covered with firecracker paper, like red flower petals scattered on the ground.
"Let's go back," Su Tian suggested.
"good."
The two returned to the camp together. Song Zhe escorted Su Tian downstairs. "Su Su, you go upstairs and rest first. I'll go and deal with what happened earlier."
"Then I'll go up first."
After watching Su Tian go upstairs, Song Zhe quickly walked to his office.
Lu Yu was sitting at the table, carefully looking at the notes he had just taken.
"Did you find anything?" Song Zhe pulled out a stool, sat down, and asked.
"They're all here. Look, the photos are still being developed; we'll get them later."
"Did this guy confess so easily? Does he have accomplices?"
Lu Yu shook his head and tapped the table a few times with his pen. "Hmm, he confessed after being threatened, but we didn't find out if he had any accomplices. You suspect he has accomplices?"
"Hmm, shall we go back to the interrogation room and see if we can get anything out of them?"
"OK."
The two of them walked up to the middle-aged man again. When the man saw them coming again, he simply closed his eyes.
"Do you have accomplices?" Song Zhe asked as soon as he arrived.
The man opened his eyes and calmly replied, "No."
"You're from the other side of the river, why are you taking pictures of our camp? What's your scheme?" Song Zhe's cold voice slowly rang out.
"I'm a local, not from the other side of the river," the man denied outright.
“Your whole family is dead, and you're all alone. You're doing quite well, and you even have a camera.” Song Zhe saw Lu Yu’s notes in the notebook.
"Someone gave it to me; I can keep it if they give it to me."
"Okay, when the photos come out, you can just wait to be buried in the ground."
"Recruit them now, they might be out in a few years."
Upon hearing this, the man's eyes trembled slightly.
Seeing the man's frightened expression, Song Zhe knew that he still had something to hide.
"Let's go out first."
"Old Song, are they trying to start a war by causing trouble again and again?"
"Hmph, they're not picky, we all want to fight them."
The Soviet Union openly provided them with so many guns and ammunition; wasn't it just to watch us fight?
"I originally thought the Soviet Union was a good country, but now that our country is strong, they are afraid and just want to cause trouble."
"Let's go to the darkroom and see if the photos are developed yet."
Song Zhe and Lu Yu quickly went to the darkroom. When they entered, the photos had just been developed and were placed in a bag.
"Regiment Song, Regiment Lu, the photos have been developed."
"Okay, thanks for your hard work, Lao Song. This guy took so many pictures. Did he not pay for the film?"
Look at this picture; they even took a picture of the changing of the guard ceremony at the entrance of our camp.
Although it's a bit blurry, it must have been taken from quite a distance.
This photo was taken while climbing a tree, right? Look, I even got a shot of the playground.
"No wonder the people on the other side are called the Monkey Country, they're so good at climbing trees," Lu Yu said seriously as he watched.
“These dozens of photos are enough to give him a hard time. Let’s go and have another talk with him.”
Song Zhe picked up the photo, and the two went to the interrogation room again.
When the middle-aged man saw Song Zhe and his group return, carrying a bag of photos, he began to waver.
"Won't I be shot if I tell you?" the man asked Song Zhe in fear.
“Yes, tell the truth, or these photos will be enough to bury you.” Song Zhe said quietly.
He immediately spoke up, saying that they were from the Yue Kingdom, a group of three who had impersonated reporters and claimed they wanted to take pictures of cultural landscapes for news.
They gave some money to the villagers to rent rooms in the village, while the other two stayed at someone's house in the village.
Upon hearing this, Song Zhe and Lu Yu quickly ran out of the camp.
"Old Song, they shouldn't have run away yet, right?"
"Let's go there and take a look first. Let's find someone from the village to secretly take us there."
Ten minutes later, they arrived at the village.
