Chapter 296 First Day of School

Before the start of the semester, Su Tian went to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy a can of malted milk powder, some snacks and candies, and took the bus to Huada's staff dormitory.

Upon arrival, she went straight to her uncle's house and knocked on the door.

"Coming!" Fang Rong heard the knocking and quickly ran out to open the door.

"Oh, it's Su Tian! Come in quickly."

"Aunt, I've come to see you. Where are my uncle and cousin?"

"They went to buy groceries. You were coming, weren't you? The father and son went to buy groceries on their bikes."

Fang Rong had just put away the things Su Tian had brought when they returned.

"Uncle, cousin."

"Cousin, you're here."

"Auntie, let me cook with you."

"Alright, you two come along too, the more people, the faster it will be done."

"Okay, everyone come together," Wang Shao said with a smile.

Everyone helped prepare lunch, and we could eat in an hour.

At the dinner table, Wang Shao asked while eating, "Girl, are you starting school in a couple of days? I heard from your mother that you're attending a Traditional Chinese Medicine college?"

"Yes, school starts in a couple of days, so I came to see you all while school is starting."

"Hmm, not bad, keep up the good work."

After the meal, Su Tian offered to help clear the dishes. Fang Rong smiled and said, "You don't need to do that. You can chat with your uncle and the others for a while."

After Fang Rong finished speaking, she took the bowl and chopsticks and went to the kitchen.

"Then Auntie, I'll trouble you. Please sit with Uncle for a while."

Okay.

Su Tian walked over and sat on the sofa, and the family sat in the living room chatting.

"Uncle, when does your school start?"

"Oh, just like you, in a couple of days."

Su Tian turned her head and asked her cousin, "Cousin, what about you?"

"Middle school students have been attending classes for several days now; they usually start school earlier than universities."

"How is your Grandpa Chen? Did you see him when you went home?"

Seeing her uncle's eager expression, Su Tian smiled and said, "He and Grandma Chen are very close. They often visit my grandparents' house. The four of them get along very well."

"That's good. I'll visit your family during the holidays to see your mom and your grandparents."

“Great, they are very happy to welcome you.”

Wang Shao glanced at his watch and quickly brought out the things Su Tian had bought.

"Girl, it's almost afternoon. Take these things back with you. Your uncle appreciates your kindness."

"Uncle, these are for you. Keep them for yourselves. If I want some, I'll buy them myself."

Su Tian firmly refused, saying it was too much trouble to keep bringing it up.

"Alright then, I'll take you downstairs to catch your ride. Be careful on your way back."

"You don't need to see me off, my cousin will take me. You go back to your room and rest. Cousin, let's go."

The two walked together to the bus stop, and when the bus arrived, Su Tian called him back.

Two days later was the first day of school. Su Tian got up early, cooked breakfast, and rode her bicycle to school.

After finding the classroom for her major, she discovered that there were only about twenty students in her class.

The older ones looked to be in their thirties, there were several of them, and the rest were about the same age as her.

Su Tian sat quietly in her seat reading the book. She had already learned much of the knowledge in the book in her space.

Suddenly, a girl rushed into the classroom, looked around, saw that there were still empty seats, and sat down next to Su Tian.

She curiously leaned over to look at Su Tian's book, and said with a grin, "You're reading so intently! My name is Zhang Xiaoyan, what's yours?"

Su Tian looked up and politely replied, "My name is Su Tian."

After the school bell rang, a refined and approachable middle-aged professor walked into the classroom.

"Hello students, welcome to the Traditional Chinese Medicine major. I am your professor, my surname is Yan." Professor Yan's voice was gentle and steady.

"The first lesson I'll teach you today is how to take a pulse."

Next, the professor explained several types of pulse diagnosis and called them up one by one to teach them how to take a pulse.

When it was Su Tian's turn, he sat steadily at the table, his expression focused, and slowly reached out his hand, gently placing his fingers on Su Tian's wrist.

He frowned slightly, as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.

"Professor, just ask me whatever you need to know," Su Tian said calmly.

"Hey kid, do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend?"

"Yes, Professor, I am pregnant. I went to the hospital for a checkup before."

"Professor, can you teach me how to take a pregnant woman's pulse?" Su Tian looked at Professor Yan expectantly.

"Hehe, okay, I'll teach you all."

The other male classmates were extremely disappointed when they heard that Su Tian was pregnant.

They finally had a classmate who was as beautiful as an angel, but who knew she was already someone else's.

Next, Professor Yan carefully explained the characteristics of the pulse during pregnancy, and Su Tian listened attentively.

Zhang Xiaoyan, who was standing to the side, was secretly taking notes in her notebook, occasionally stealing a glance at Su Tian's abdomen.

When Su Tian noticed, she secretly smiled and whispered in her ear, "It's still early in the month, your belly hasn't grown big yet. I'll show you when it's bigger."

Professor Yan also noticed their little actions, but just smiled and said, "Students, have you learned it? The pulse of a normal person is different from that of a pregnant woman."

If you still haven't learned it, go over it with your classmates a few more times.

After Professor Yan finished teaching the lesson on pulse diagnosis, he continued to raise many difficult questions about traditional Chinese medicine theory, which made many students look troubled.

Su Tian answered calmly and confidently. Her answer was precise and insightful, which drew frequent nods of approval from Professor Lin.
