"Can I call my brother over to eat with us?" Lu Xiao asked Su Tian.
"Go ahead and call out, as long as you're full."
"Okay, I'll go get someone now."
Lu Xiao put down his bowl and ran to the room to call Zhang Shang.
"Come on, buddy, I'm treating you to chicken today. Bring me your bowl and chopsticks."
Zhang Shang looked at Lu Xiao and asked, "You work every day, where did you get the chickens?"
"I saved a child, and someone gave it to me as a token of their gratitude."
Su Zhiqing has already cooked it—two whole pheasants, plus lots of radishes. That's enough for the rest of us. Let's go!"
Zhang Shang felt a little embarrassed, but he wanted to eat, so he shamelessly took his bowl and chopsticks and followed behind Lu Xiao.
Su Tian and Ma Chunling waited for them to arrive before starting to eat. "They're here. The stools are over there. Come and sit down to eat with us."
"There's enough rice. I deliberately put in extra rice today, and I also stir-fried a large plate of vegetables."
"Thank you," Zhang Shang said to Su Tian.
This was the first time Zhang Shang had eaten chicken since he went to the countryside.
This chicken smells amazing! It would be even better if you added radish to the chicken soup.
This was the first time he had ever had radish and chicken soup; his family had never cooked this kind of soup before.
Lu Xiao watched his brother eat silently, "Isn't it delicious? This is my second bowl, I'll get another one after I finish this one."
"It really smells delicious. I also had two bowls of soup," Zhang Shang said while eating.
"Su Tian, I feel happy every time I eat your cooking. It tastes like home."
"It's all just home-cooked food, haha... I'm glad you're enjoying your meal." Su Tian was also happy to see that they liked the food.
"By the way, Su Zhiqing, how did you manage to cook such delicious soup?" Lu Xiao asked curiously.
"Because I like to drink soup, and making soup is the simplest thing. I may not be as good as Zheng Yuanyuan at stir-frying, but I am confident in my soup-making skills."
"People from Guangdong Province always need soup with their meals, so it's a natural habit," Su Tian replied with a smile.
"Could you teach me sometime? I'd like to learn too." Lu Xiao looked at Su Tian expectantly.
"Of course you can, but you have to study hard," Su Tian replied.
"Haha, definitely, definitely." Lu Xiao laughed happily.
"After the meal, there was a radish cake as a dessert, which was brought over by Widow Zhang."
"I'm afraid I'll overeat today," Lu Xiao said, rubbing his stomach.
“Haha… It’s better to be full than hungry,” Ma Chunling replied.
Zhou Man noticed the pleasant atmosphere on Su Tian's side and could even smell the aroma of chicken soup from time to time.
She really wanted to eat too, but she always dawdled at work, and the team leader was too embarrassed to say anything to her because she didn't rely on work points for food.
In order to be able to eat meat, she also wanted to cook separately. She could just buy meat and ask Liu Hongying to cook it.
When Zhang Shang comes back later, she will discuss it with him and see if he agrees.
