When Song Zhaonan heard Teacher Su call her, she was overjoyed. Ignoring her father's scolding, she quickly ran out of the room.
"Teacher Su, you've come to see me." Song Zhaonan looked at Su Tian with bright, sparkling eyes.
"Yes, your teacher came to see you. Don't your parents let you go to school?" Su Tian asked with concern.
"My dad is sick, and my mom asked me to stay home to take care of him and my younger siblings."
Upon hearing this, Su Tian's expression turned grim. She turned to Song's mother and asked seriously, "What illness does Xiao Nan's father have? Why does Xiao Nan have to stay home and take care of him instead of going to school?"
"He just had a cold, fever, and cough, and I thought it was only for half a day, so I didn't let him go."
"I'll definitely let her go next Monday, teacher, don't worry." Song's mother said with a slightly apprehensive smile.
"Okay, remember to have her come to school next Monday. If you only need her to help out for half a day, you can ask another child to come to school and ask me for leave," Su Tian instructed.
"Okay, teacher, I definitely will."
Song's mother answered nervously. She was frightened by Su Tian's imposing manner. Were all teachers this serious and scary?
Su Tian didn't ask any more questions. She took out three fruit candies from her mouth and asked Song Zhaonan to give them to her younger brother and sister. She also told her to rest well at home.
After seeing Su Tian leave the Song family, Song's mother finally relaxed. She had originally planned to keep Su Tian from attending school this semester and have her stay home to take care of her younger siblings.
Who knew her teacher would suddenly come looking for her? Judging from Su Tian's attitude, it was as if she had done something wrong by not letting the girl go to school. This girl has really met a good teacher.
"Mom, I have to go to school on Monday. The teacher told me to," Song Zhaonan said cautiously to her mother.
"Okay, I'll go, I definitely will. You go out and watch over your younger siblings, and remember to give them the candy."
After finishing her sentence, Song's mother turned and went into the room to tell her husband, "This girl is determined to go to school. If we don't let her go, her teacher might skin us alive."
After thinking for a while, Mr. Song suddenly said, "Let her go to school. We don't need to pay tuition anyway. She can just help look after her younger siblings after school, or help with cooking."
Outside the courtyard, Song Zhaonan happily peeled candy wrappers for her younger siblings. She decided to take them to collect firewood for Teacher Su.
"Sister, eat this." Song Xiaopang stuffed the candy into Song Zhaonan's mouth.
"If the older sister has some, the younger brother can eat it."
Looking at her adorable younger brother, Song Zhaonan thought about the tuition fees from last time. She had already collected them five times and given them to Teacher Su, and then she was told not to collect them anymore.
Tomorrow she plans to gather firewood to thank her. She wants to learn from Teacher Su, work hard, and become a good teacher when she grows up.
