"Let's get to training quickly, we can't afford to mess with this unruly guy."
"Understood, class monitor."
"Hmph, you've been bribed with just a piece of candy to speak well of her, haven't you?"
Superficial and incompetent...
She's got plenty of sweet talk, you bunch of rude men. "Just wait, when my sweet-talking bullets come, you'll all be at my feet."
Seeing Xie Ling's ever-changing expression, everyone ran even faster in fear.
After finishing breakfast, Su Tian went into her study space and waited until 6 p.m., but Song Zhe still hadn't returned to find her.
It was early night in winter, and she was a little worried, so she picked up her small backpack and went downstairs to ask someone for help.
When Su Tian walked to the playground, she happened to meet the young soldier who had brought her breakfast that morning.
"Sister-in-law, you're here just in time. This is your dinner."
What's your name?
"My name is Xiao Hei, sister-in-law."
"Xiao Hei, where's your battalion commander? Hasn't he come back yet?"
"Hmm, not yet. We took attendance this morning and went up the mountain, and they haven't come back yet."
"Okay, thank you, Xiao Hei, you can go back now."
"Okay, sister-in-law."
Su Tian's expression immediately turned serious. She went out early in the morning and hasn't come back yet. Has something happened?
Su Tian threw the lunchbox into her spatial storage, turned around, and quickly walked out of the camp gate.
She looked at the mountains and forests opposite the campsite, which appeared particularly eerie under the cover of night.
Su Tian carefully made her way up the mountain path, carrying a large machete in one hand and a flashlight in the other. The occasional cries of owls around her did not deter her.
She had seen all sorts of monsters and demons in the apocalypse, and these few bird calls wouldn't affect her determination to climb the mountain in the slightest.
She first went to the place where the cave had been discovered that day, and saw a young soldier and four or five men in black leaning against a tree with their eyes closed.
"Hey, wake up."
"Hmm... what's wrong?"
"Where are your battalion commander and the others?"
"Is that your sister-in-law?"
"Um."
"Sister-in-law, I didn't know. After we caught them, the three of us were supposed to be guarding them."
But we waited for a long time and the battalion commander and the others didn't appear, so the squad leader and the others went to look for them, leaving me alone here.
Su Tian turned off the flashlight, immediately stood up, took out a bottle of spiritual spring water and the boxed lunch from her spatial storage, then turned the flashlight back on and handed it to the young soldier.
"Drink some water first, then eat your food. It's still warm."
"Okay, thank you, sister-in-law. I'm starving."
"Okay, let's not talk about it anymore, let's eat first."
Su Tian squatted down and looked at the group of people for a while, and found that they were just asleep and there was nothing seriously wrong with them.
Do you have a flashlight?
"Yes, sister-in-law, it's in my pocket."
"After you finish eating, I'll help you take these people down the mountain first."
"good."
After the young soldier had eaten and drunk his fill, he felt much more energetic. He and Su Tian tied up the men in black again and led them down the mountain.
Su Tian kept a close watch on her surroundings throughout the journey, fearing that something unexpected might happen again.
When they reached the foot of the mountain, Su Tian said, "You take them back to the camp, I won't go back with you."
"Sister-in-law, come back with me first, it's too dangerous up in the mountain."
"I'll go back and report to the commander first, and see how to handle it. Is that alright, sister-in-law?"
After hearing what the young soldier said, Su Tian had no choice but to agree.
The two of them dragged the man in black back to the interrogation room and locked him up. They ordered someone to guard him and then went to find Zhou Jin to explain the situation.
Su Tian sat anxiously in her office, waiting. At that moment, Zhou Jin, having learned of the situation, came to the office.
"Xiao Su, you should go back and rest first. I've already sent people up the mountain to look for Song Zhe and the others. It's not safe for a girl like you to go up the mountain alone."
"With our troops here, everything will be alright."
"Okay, thank you for your help, Commander Zhou."
After saying goodbye, Su Tian could only return to her dormitory and wait patiently.
She lay on the bed, half asleep and half awake, filled with worry.
Around midnight, a commotion suddenly broke out outside. Su Tian rushed out of the dormitory and saw a group of soldiers carrying a stretcher back.
Her heart clenched, and she rushed forward to check. Thankfully, it wasn't Song Zhe.
What about Song Zhe? Where did Song Zhe go?
"Where's your battalion commander? Hasn't he come back yet?" Su Tian asked anxiously.
"Sister-in-law, the battalion commander..."
"Susu, I'm here."
Song Zhe stood at the back of the group, his face covered in dust and his clothes tattered.
Her eyes widened instantly, filled with shock and surprise, and her lips parted slightly, "A-Zhe..."
Immediately, Su Tian ran to Song Zhe, threw herself into his arms, and hugged him tightly.
"You scared me to death..." Su Tian punched him a few times.
"Su Su, I'm dirty, let me go first."
"No, even if you're dirty, you're still my man, Su Tian's man." Su Tian ignored him and hugged his neck, then stood on tiptoe and kissed his lips.
“Heh… Su Su.” Song Zhe also hugged Su Tian tightly.
After a while, the two let go of each other and watched the departing troops. Su Tian then asked, "Are you all alright? What about the little soldier on the stretcher just now..."
"Don't worry, we're all fine. He was hit by a tree; his foot is swollen and he can't walk, but his leg isn't broken."
"That's alright." Su Tian looked around and, seeing that no one was around, quickly took out some spiritual spring water and gave it to Song Zhe, urging him to drink it.
Song Zhe had no choice but to accept the pills. After drinking them, he said, "I'm fine. I'll keep the pills you gave me with me."
I also shared it with the guys who were doing tasks today. You won't scold me, will you?
"Ugh, you underestimate me. Why would I scold you? Just give it to me, it's not worth much anyway. It's best if it helps you."
"Susu, let's go back to the dorm first, I want to take a shower."
"Your man is too dirty. Look at me, disheveled and covered in dust. Don't I look handsome?"
"Haha...yes, he's not handsome anymore, he looks like a beggar, his clothes are all tattered."
"If I become ugly in the future, will you stop loving me?"
"I'll tell you later. We've arrived at the dorm. Take a shower first."
Su Tian sat in the chair, waiting for Song Zhe to come out.
Song Zhe washed his hair, took a quick shower, and came out in a few minutes.
"Susu, are you sleepy? If you are, go to sleep first."
"I've already slept for a while, so are your clothes no longer needed?"
"Hmm, no thanks."
"Are you hungry? There's probably nothing to eat in the cafeteria right now."
"Before the regimental commander sent people to find us, he had already called people to get up and do it."
"Susu, I washed my hair and took a shower, don't I look handsome?"
"Haha...very handsome."
Su Tian stepped forward, pinched his cheeks with both hands, and then said, "Sit down."
"What's wrong?"
"I want to ruffle your hair. Why don't you get a buzz cut?"
