Chapter 12 Crisis: Her stall was smashed!
"Li Chengwei, are you sick in the head?!"
His words made Song Chi feel so disgusted she wanted to vomit.
She pushed him away with an icy look in her eyes: "Have you forgotten my warning? We're over. If you keep bothering me, I'll call the police and report you for harassment!"
"Song Chi, you've been eating my food for so many years, and you think you can buy me out for a mere 50,000? Dream on!"
Song Chi laughed in exasperation; she had known all along that he would try to renege on his promise.
The two were arguing, which attracted the attention of those around them, and people began to talk and point fingers.
Song Chi growled, "Li Chengwei, get out of here! I'm really going to call the police!"
Li Chengwei's eyes darted around slyly, then he suddenly plopped down on the ground and started wailing.
"Waaaaah, everyone, please help me judge this! I've raised my niece for so many years, providing her with food and drink, and all I wanted was to ask her for a little over a hundred yuan for living expenses, and she actually insulted me, accusing me of harassing her..."
"Let me tell you, don't let her innocent face fool you, she's incredibly promiscuous at heart. I've seen her with quite a few men..."
He shouted loudly, and instantly a crowd of onlookers gathered around him.
People around them were talking amongst themselves: "Who would have thought she was like this? She wouldn't even give us a little over a hundred yuan for living expenses. We won't buy anything from her anymore!"
The surrounding stall owners also came to join in the fun, and someone said—
“This stall is a prime spot here. The management team specifically ordered us not to set up stalls here anymore…”
"I knew that, but I thought it was a leader coming to inspect!"
"I didn't see her. She's a newbie, and she took up a prime spot right away. I thought she didn't know the rules, but it turns out she's having an affair with someone up there..."
"Pah! That's utterly disgusting!"
Insults and disdainful glances came from all around.
Song Chi looked at Li Chengwei with icy eyes.
"Li Chengwei, do you know how many years you're sentenced to for defamation?"
"I'm calling the police right now, so they can testify whether I'm the one who's not morally upright, or you're just talking nonsense!"
She was about to dial the number.
Li Chengwei's eyes flashed, and he began to roll around on the ground, screaming in pain.
"Ouch, my stomach hurts so much, it must be from her hitting me earlier..."
Song Chi was speechless; he really knew how to twist the truth.
Some of the people around, unaware of what was happening, excitedly picked up water bottles and smashed them at Song Chi's stall.
"You dare bully people? I'll smash you to death!"
"Smash her to death, smash her to death..."
People threw the items they were holding at Songchi.
Song Chi dodged and protected his stall, but in the blink of an eye, the stall was smashed to pieces.
Song Chi didn't bother with the slander from strangers.
She felt sorry for all the effort she had put in that afternoon, so she protected the stall while trying to avoid getting hurt herself.
However, some people rushed up excitedly, shouting that they wanted to smash Song Chi's stall.
Song Chi shouted, "Don't touch my goods..."
"You bitch, you dare to set up a stall? I'll beat you to death!"
The man raised his fist and punched Song Chi.
Song Chi instinctively protected her lower abdomen and backed away.
Suddenly, Mu Yin rushed in and grabbed the man's hand.
He coldly shouted, "Get out!"
He exuded a chilling aura, which frightened the man so much that he scrambled away.
When Song Chi saw him arrive, he suddenly felt a sense of security.
At that moment, the market management team and several police officers came over and dispersed the crowd.
Mu Yin carefully examined Song Chi: "How are you?"
Song Chi shook his head: "I'm fine."
She looked at Li Chengwei, her voice icy.
"Li Chengwei, you've slandered me this time, and the evidence is irrefutable. Let's see how you try to deny it now!"
As she spoke, she pointed to the street security camera and said, "This place can capture everything clearly. Don't expect me to come to the police station to negotiate with you. Just wait to be detained!"
"You..."
Li Chengwei tried to yell at her, but the police took him away.
As soon as he left, the surrounding air became instantly clean.
Song Chi looked at the stall, which had been smashed to pieces, and his heart was bleeding!
What a bad start!
Mu Yin frowned slightly: "The stall was smashed like this?"
Song Chi's stubborn tears welled up in her eyes, but she tilted her head back and forced them back.
She smiled at him and said, "Uncle, it's okay, I can still fix it! In short, I won't be defeated by this accident, I will try again!"
She made a fist pump gesture to cheer herself on.
Mu Yin: "..."
He couldn't help but gaze at her intently, captivated by her resilient demeanor.
Unexpectedly, despite her young age, she is so opinionated!
His eyes flashed with amazement and admiration, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously turned up.
Song Chi then said, "Uncle, we can't continue tonight. Let's pack our things and go home first. We'll come back tomorrow!"
"good!"
The two packed their things and left the market.
Unbeknownst to them, the surrounding stall owners were constantly watching them, even imagining an outrageous marital infidelity drama!
On his way home, Song Chi seemed to be pondering a question.
"Uncle, I was wondering why no one was setting up a stall in such a good spot. Turns out the management team doesn't allow stalls there. Who's so powerful as to leave such a good spot unused, and I just snagged it?"
