Chapter 37 Large Contradictory Body
Chen Jingyang blurted out, his tone perfectly natural and smooth: "My sister."
Liu Chengyu suddenly frowned: "Young Master Chen, how come I didn't know you had such a big sister?"
Chen Jingyang chuckled: "There's a lot you don't know."
"No, really! Tell me, I'm really curious!"
Chen Jingyang scoffed, "How the hell would I know!"
Liu Chengyu looked like he suddenly understood: "Oh! That's right, you should ask your dad about this!"
Chen Jingyang pretended to kick him: "Get the hell out of here!"
Liu Chengyu and Chen Jingyang are very familiar with each other. The Liu family and the Chen family have a lot of business dealings. The two have had many interactions in the past, are of similar age, and have a fairly good relationship.
After making a scene, Chen Jingyang glanced at Liu Chengzhou, not pleased: "Hey kid! How long are you planning to hold on to that hand?"
The child frowned, tightened his grip, and muttered, "Mind your own business! I just like holding her hand!"
Chen Jingyang smiled and turned to Liu Chengyu, saying, "If no one in your family teaches him manners, I don't mind doing it for him."
Liu Chengyu chuckled sullenly and slapped Liu Chengzhou on the back of the head: "Let go of me! Do you think you can just grab a little girl's hand like that?"
Liu Chengzhou looked at his brother in a daze, scratched the back of his head, let go of Zhang Huahua, pouted, and wanted to cry!
But after glancing at Zhang Huahua, he quickly sniffed and tried his best to hold it in, clearly not wanting to lose face in front of Zhang Huahua. He looked up and asked his brother, "Why? I held her hand at school, and the teacher didn't say anything."
Chen Jingyang: Huh?!
He chuckled, "Oh, maybe starting tomorrow, the teacher will start saying something."
"Why? Our teacher..."
"Slap!" Liu Chengyu slapped Liu Chengzhou on the back of the head again to prevent him from being humiliated in front of Chen Jingyang, whose underwear had been exposed: "Let's go, you silly boy!"
Liu Chengyu waved goodbye to Zhang Huahua reluctantly: "Goodbye, Huahua, see you tomorrow! Remember to come to school early!"
Zhang Huahua replied crisply, "Okay~"
Chen Jingyang's face darkened, and he thought to himself, "What's so good about that!"
There's not a single good person in the Liu family!
Liu Chengyu seemed to hear Chen Jingyang's thoughts. He took two steps, then turned back to look at him and smiled. His expression clearly said: "As if you're some kind of good bird!"
Although Chen Jingyang didn't go to work that day, he had a very fulfilling one. However, Zhang Pengfei, who was lying in the hospital, wasn't so lucky.
He's being driven crazy by that old lady!
They're so enthusiastic!
She treated him like her own son!
Damn, they really don't give him any privacy at all!
Zhang Pengfei was filled with regret. If he had known it would turn out this way, he should have told Chen Jingyang from the beginning, "Leave me alone, please!"
It was already 8 PM, but the older woman still wouldn't leave. She even volunteered to work overtime, pouring her heart out to Zhang Pengfei with everyday chatter.
"My child, you're so lucky! The young man who invited me here is your brother, right? Oh, he's really worried about you suffering even the slightest grievance; he's been so good to you!"
"You know what? For a patient like you who can't eat or drink and doesn't need special care, the maximum pay is usually 300 yuan a day. I generally don't want to take on this kind of work; it's too easy and the pay is too low!"
"But when that young man heard that I was the No. 1 caregiver, he offered me 1,000 yuan a day without saying a word!"
The woman exclaimed, "1,000 yuan! I only get 800 yuan a day to take care of a cerebral palsy patient in rehabilitation center, the kind you have to carry around, feed several meals a day, and clean up their poop and pee!"
Zhang Pengfei was really afraid of this old lady, worried that if he opened his mouth again, she would start talking non-stop, so he didn't dare to say anything and just smiled politely.
Unexpectedly, the older woman still felt encouraged by his smile and became even more enthusiastic: "Your brother only has one request, which is that he must take good care of you!"
"Oh dear! I just don't feel at ease. You haven't been eating, drinking, or going to the toilet. I feel like I haven't taken good care of you at all, and I feel embarrassed to accept your brother's money."
This middle-aged woman kept saying how great her brother was, as if she was trying to brainwash him.
Zhang Pengfei suddenly became very curious: Did Chen Jingyang really only give her 1,000 yuan? Now, 1,000 yuan can not only buy labor, but also win people's hearts?!
Are you sure this older woman is just a caregiver, and not someone Chen Jingyang hired to use psychological tactics against her?
Are caregivers all this lazy these days?!
Finally, Zhang Pengfei couldn't take it anymore and said tactfully, "Auntie, I want to sleep. Why don't you go home first today?"
The older woman was actually reluctant to let me go: "If I leave, what if you wake up feeling bored and want to talk to someone? It's okay, you can go back to sleep. I'll stay here and watch over you."
"No! Please don't!" Zhang Pengfei was so startled by the old lady that he almost sat up!
He didn't care about being tactful at that moment and gave a direct order: "I need to be alone with you. Please leave!"
The woman left with a bewildered look on her face and a heavy heart.
Zhang Pengfei breathed a sigh of relief, and without caring about saving face or being stubborn, he immediately picked up his phone—he had to send a message to Chen Jingyang, telling that old lady absolutely not to come again!
As soon as he opened WeChat, he saw several unread messages in his Moments. Being curious, he thought it wouldn't hurt to read them first, so he clicked on them and found that they were all from Chen Jingyang who had "mentioned you".
Several of her WeChat Moments posts were about Zhang Huahua.
The first post is a photo of Zhang Huahua leaving school. The little girl is sitting in the car, excitedly making a peace sign. The caption reads: "School's out! The little girl said she was praised by the teacher today and is so happy."
The second post is a photo of Zhang Huahua doing her homework, with an unfamiliar girl sitting next to her. Chen Jingyang captioned it: "First day as a tutor. The child likes it very much and is very cooperative. She finished all her homework in an hour. Awesome!"
Then there was a video of the two having dinner together. It was unclear which restaurant it was, but Zhang Huahua seemed to be enjoying her meal and even played on the slide. Chen Jingyang captioned the video: "The newly opened restaurant near my home has pretty good food and a friendly atmosphere."
The last one is a photo of Zhang Huahua lying in bed holding Abeibei, with the caption: It's 8:30, time to turn off the lights and go to sleep.
After reading it, Zhang Pengfei suddenly felt a little sad.
Although he hadn't seen Zhang Huahua all day, Chen Jingyang used this method to tell him everything Zhang Huahua had done.
It has to be said that Chen Jingyang is very thoughtful and understands him well. He knows that Chen Jingyang is too embarrassed to ask, but he doesn't dare to send him messages casually, for fear of disturbing him or making him angry.
Chen Jingyang really took good care of him and was very accommodating to him!
This person is like a giant contradiction; when angry, he can kick you half to death, but when gentle, he can't help but want to hold you in the palm of his hand.
