Less than a minute after parting ways with Zhang Pengfei, Chen Jingyang received a call from the restaurant asking if he was still dining there that night.
He booked the French restaurant two weeks in advance, intending to give Zhang Pengfei a romantic birthday celebration.

Chen Jingyang stared at Lin Zheyan in disbelief. This was... he had even arranged the overtime schedule for him!
Lin Zheyan's voice was flat and robotic: "President Chen, cheer up! If you finish your work today, you can have a day off tomorrow!"
Chen Jingyang took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling: "You... go back first, I'll take a shower and then come over."
Lin Zheyan: "It's okay, I can wait for you."
