Chapter 38 On the Eve of the Finals "How about this, tonight we all..."

After Mukuro left, Sawada Tsunayoshi's encounters with him became more regular. If Mukuro wished, they would meet in his dreams at night, but this was a one-sided connection from Mukuro, because Tsunayoshi simply couldn't learn to enter other people's dreams.

"Finals, finals, hehehe~"

Sawada Tsunayoshi listened to Hinata singing cheerfully. It was only because the day of the competition hadn't arrived yet that Hinata was in such a happy mood, and she was even jumping around singing.

Kyoji Akaashi was reading a book. The two of them curiously went over and found that he was reading a textbook. As if they were seeing something from outer space, Tsuna and Hinata backed away and quickly ran away from Kyoji Akaashi.

Although Kyoji is a beautiful and kind-hearted setter, even someone like Hinata Shoyo who likes setters wouldn't want to stay by Kyoji's side in this situation.

"It's a suffocating realm of academic geniuses." Hinata's steps were heavy.

Kujo Ike laughed heartily, "Isn't it just because you're a bad student? What excuse do you have? Hahaha!"

The two kids, their sore spot touched, snapped, "Hey!"

Seeing that Hyuga and the others had also arrived at the club, the atmosphere around them immediately became lively. Akaashi Kyoji realized he couldn't concentrate on studying right now, so he put down his books.

"If you had prepared beforehand, you should have known that there was such a thing as an entrance exam."

"..."

Sawada Tsunayoshi thought about himself. He wasn't like Sho, and he figured he would just stay in Namimori Junior High and not feel particularly pressured about the entrance exams.

Hinata, on the other hand, was indifferent. He was like a happy little dog, content as long as he could play volleyball. Except for the period leading up to exams, he generally ignored studying.

Since they started participating in the competition, this venue has been reserved specifically for their training. Before everyone had arrived, Sawada Tsunayoshi and the others simply sat there chatting. Coach Suzuki walked past them carrying a stack of documents and waved them over to join him.

Not knowing what the coach wanted to see them about, Tsuna stood up and, along with Akaashi Kyoji and the others, obediently followed the coach into the office.

"Well, after your match last week, I went to watch another team play for a while,"

Sawada Tsunayoshi looked up. No wonder they hadn't seen the coach call them back after chatting with Kuroo-senpai for so long. It turned out the coach had gone to watch the match himself!

"Coach, you're amazing!" Hinata voiced what the others were thinking.

"After all, it's the final. I won't know what to expect if I don't go and see what they're really made of."

Coach Suzuki is the type of person who is easily consumed by internal conflicts. If he is not fully prepared, he will be just as anxious as he was in the match against Nekoma.

Getting back to the main point, Suzuki began to tell Tsuna and the others about the information he had observed about the enemy.

"You've probably seen it in the newspapers; this club in Hyogo Prefecture is very strong, especially their outside hitter,"

Before he could finish speaking, Hinata Shoyo, whose memories had been stirred, clapped his hands.

"It's that really tall, big guy!"

Upon hearing this, Sawada Tsunayoshi also remembered, "It says that he is also incredibly strong, at the level of a junior high school student."

Suzuki nodded. "It seems you do know that, on paper, Ooshiro is indeed a formidable opponent."

"But?" Hinata raised a hand; usually, in this situation, the coach would have something else to say.

Suzuki tried to be serious, but he could never bring himself to be cold in front of his two most favored disciples.

"But this time, what led this club to the Tokyo League finals, besides their attackers, was their setter."

It was the setter again. Tsuna couldn't help but glance back at Kyoji Akaashi. Kyoji's expression didn't change much. When he noticed Tsuna's gaze, he just smiled slightly and wasn't affected much.

"It's one of those twins, right?" Akaashi looked away and asked Coach Suzuki, clearly having also looked into it when he got back.

Suzuki seemed to value this setter more than Oshiro. He tapped his brow with his pen. "The opponent is a rare setter with a strong offensive drive. He is not the same type as Kyoji. Although the newspapers gave him a lower rating than Oshiro because of his inconsistency, I think that what we need to be most wary of in the match the day after tomorrow is the distribution of this unstable setter."

[During the second set, their setter and attacker got into an argument over a spike, costing them their lead and handing it to the opposing team. They were severely reprimanded by their coach after the match.]

The words that Grinding-kun had said earlier echoed in Tsunayoshi's mind.

Just thinking about this made it impossible for this very skilled setter to stay serious.

After all, not many normal people would argue in public!

They didn't get to chat for long. Once everyone had arrived, the coach sent them out to train. However, judging from the coach's demeanor, Sawada Tsunayoshi guessed that Suzuki wasn't particularly worried, or perhaps he thought that Fukutani and the team from Hyogo Prefecture could go toe-to-toe. So even though they faced a strong opponent, the coach remained relatively calm.

"Well, volleyball is a team sport after all, and I don't think your teamwork is worse than other teams."

Coach Suzuki nodded to Sawada Tsunayoshi, which was considered an explanation.

The venue for the finals was changed; it wasn't the same stadium as before, but a much larger one. So, they also changed their hotel for the night.

Sun peeked out of the car and exclaimed, "Wow, it's still so luxurious!"

He opened his arms, turned around, and was about to rush out when Aoyama Kaede, quick as a flash, grabbed him by the collar, dragged him back, and threw him next to Sawada Tsunayoshi. Tsunayoshi gave him a grateful smile, and he tightly gripped Hyuga's arm.

"This is a huge help!"

Then he turned to Hinata and said, "We've never been here before, Sho, don't get lost."

Hyuga's speed is so fast that he can disappear in the blink of an eye if you're not careful. Sawada Tsunayoshi has a lot of experience with this. His soccer skills came about because Hyuga struck up a conversation with the soccer team while retrieving a ball, and then inexplicably became friends with the team members, who invited Tsunayoshi to play soccer together.

Even with Tsuna's dumbfounded expression, he could still smile and flick the soccer ball up, looking like he was taking credit for something.

"I learned to play soccer in school before!"

As expected, he still knew too little about Hyuga Shoyo, but he had gained some experience.

Against the backdrop of Sawada Tsunayoshi seemingly shrouded in dark energy, Hyuga nodded, slowed his pace, and walked in with them.

"I want to share a room with Tsuna tonight!"

Matsukawa Saki was utterly baffled. "When have you ever not shared a room with Tsuna? You brat, who even shares a room with someone at summer camp, why are you bringing this up?"

Before Hinata could reply, Aoyama Kaede beside him made a sound of great regret.

"I also want to experience what it's like to be in the same room as Tsuna-kun!"

His roommate, Kojima, showed no signs of feeling abandoned; instead, he seemed quite curious.

"In that case, I'd also like to know how Sawada-kun practices his bedtime routine every night."

"Eh? Kojima-kun, you have to do training every night before bed?" Tsunayoshi, who hadn't dared to say anything, was shocked to hear this.

Aoyama Kaede knew a bit about it: "He trains as a middle blocker every night, with all sorts of things like hand gestures and strength training."

They even wanted to drag him into training, which was terrifying. He didn't want to train during his rest time!

These words gave Hinata an idea: "Oh, training, that sounds really interesting!"

Then he grasped Sawada Tsunayoshi's hand, his eyes sparkling.

"Hey Tsuna, let's train too!"

"Eh, training? Us?" Tsuna, who never refuses anyone, stammered.

Hearing this, Aoyama Kaede felt as if he had been granted a pardon. "How about this, you and Kojima-kun can share a room, so the two of you can train together. Tsuna and I will share a room tonight."

Hinata pondered, "Ah, but I still prefer to share a room with Tsuna."

"How about this, we'll all sleep in one room tonight!"

Hinata suggested a new possibility: "Anyway, the bed is big enough for two people to sleep in one bed. You and Kojima can come to our room together."

Aoyama Kaede paused for a moment, but after thinking about it carefully, her eyes lit up. "It seems like that might work?"

Kojima nodded. "This plan is feasible."

Sawada Tsunayoshi wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "No way, the coach will definitely scold us if he finds out!"

Hinata pleaded, shaking Sawada Tsunayoshi's arm, "But this is really fun, isn't it? We're just sleeping together, we're not playing games!"

Sawada Tsunayoshi: "How come you're suddenly so self-righteous?!"

Kujo Ike, who was following behind, also felt as if he had been shot in the back.

Just as Hinata and Aoyama were racking their brains to get Sawada Tsunayoshi to agree, and even as Tsunayoshi was about to soften and give in, Akaashi Kyoji tapped them both on the head from behind with a book.

"There's a match tomorrow, so you guys should all get some sleep tonight."

Hinata and Aoyama held their heads in their hands, tears streaming down their faces, "I know, sob sob."

Then, Akaashi Kyoji took the bewildered Sawada Tsunayoshi from the two men and led him into the hotel, transferring experience points along the way.

"Don't agree to these unreasonable requests, otherwise they will take advantage of your kindness and you definitely won't be able to sleep well at night."

Tsuna nodded vigorously, "Kyoji is truly an exceptionally reliable captain!"

"Is that so?" Akaashi didn't feel like she had done anything wrong.

"But when I go to junior high school, you should be their captain, right?"

"Eh? Captain what? I can't do it!" Tsuna nodded, but before he could stop, he quickly shook his head again.

I thought they were already quite noisy, but when we went to the hotel restaurant for dinner, it was even noisier.

"Damn it, put down that pork chop! I got it first!"

"No way! Once it's in my hands, it's mine!"

A more composed voice rang out, seemingly trying to mediate the fight, "Hey, isn't there still pork chop on the table? Why are you fighting over that piece!"

One of the two noisy voices rang out earlier, sounding somewhat aggrieved, "But that was the pork chop I picked out as the best-looking!"

Another person chimed in, "Mmm, it's really delicious! This must be the most delicious pork chop I've ever eaten!"
