Chapter 19 Sponge Sponge: This is squeezing!
Those standing at a distance saw Hibari Kyoya leave, so they came forward, held up an umbrella, and left with Kusakabe Tetsuo.
The sudden downpour washed away the dust, and as everyone disappeared into the rain, Sawada Tsunayoshi belatedly realized that he had forgotten to ask the other person's name!
He opened the oil-paper umbrella. How strange, why did he bring such an umbrella?
Lord Hibari.
And seeing that the other person was wearing the same school uniform as him, Tsuna thought that they might meet again at school after the start of the semester. The other person was probably an upperclassman.
Damn it, I have absolutely no recollection of it!
Sawada Tsunayoshi, who rarely paid attention to the outside world, was somewhat distressed and could only hope that they would meet again sooner or later in such a small place as Namimori Town.
That way, he can return the umbrella.
After walking out of those streets, Tsuna realized that it wasn't raining at all!
If he had run a few steps with the crowd, he probably wouldn't have stood on the platform for so long. He folded his umbrella, feeling even more frustrated.
Just as I reached my front door, Hinata's energetic voice came from inside my house.
"Tsuna is back!"
Shoichi Irie was practically dragged out by Hyuga; he staggered, adjusting his glasses, which had askew from running.
"We thought you were lost and were just about to go look for you."
Sawada Tsunayoshi remarked, "How could I possibly get lost in Namimori Town?"
"That means they were cornered in an alley by bad guys!" Hinata waved his arm, ready to stand up for his best friend as soon as Tsuna said it was him.
Tsuna raised the long paper umbrella in his hand, which was comparable to a weapon. "Don't focus on fighting. It was raining over there, okay? I was taking shelter from the rain."
"I met a kind person who gave me an umbrella," he said haltingly.
Irie Shoichi didn't pay much attention. As if he suddenly remembered something, he looked around furtively and dragged the two of them into his house.
Sawada Tsunayoshi handed the seasonings to his mother, then was shooed away by his two friends to take a bath. Irie Shoichi, meanwhile, was preoccupied, urging him to find his clothes.
"I'll tell you about this after you've finished showering."
Sawada Tsunayoshi dried his hair with a towel, walked over and sat down next to Shoichi. "So what's up?"
Shoichi Irie's face was grave. "It's said that your Namimori Elementary School has produced a demon king. Although he's only in sixth grade, he's beaten up everyone in Namimori. I heard that many petty thugs are now under his control..."
Sawada Tsunayoshi started to drift off again as he listened, wondering if Sho would recognize Hibari.
However, since Xiaozheng is not from Namimori Elementary School, the possibility is estimated to be slim.
He carefully placed the long umbrella behind the bedroom door.
As the weather grew hotter, the club in Namimori gave its students a day off, and Irie Shoichi simply carried his music bag and wandered between the Hinata and Sawada families.
Why doesn't Xiao Zheng practice the piano at home?
Sawada Tsunayoshi lay on the table watching Irie Shoichi, who was constantly moving his hands across from him. Hyuga lay on the ground, using his hands to nudge the ball, standing up as he did so, and then slowly lying back down.
"Because my older sister would come to my room and mock me for playing so badly."
Taking a big gulp of the fruit drink that his neighbor Hyuga's mother had brought over, Sawada Tsunayoshi wondered, "Sho plays very well."
Irie Shoichi flipped over a sheet of music. “Oh dear, she did it on purpose. A few days ago, when I was competing in town, she was holding a fan with my name on it and cheering me on from the audience.”
Thinking of that scene, Irie sighed again, "Luckily, I didn't pursue classical music."
"What!" Hinata, clutching the ball, flipped to his feet, his voice filled with grief, like a husband discovering his wife's betrayal.
"Xiao Zheng, you went to the competition!?"
Sawada Tsunayoshi, playing along with Hyuga's performance, said, "Sho-chan, I thought we were friends. Why didn't you even tell us you were going to the competition..."
"?" Shoichi Irie got goosebumps from his two friends' clumsy performance. "You're in Tokyo! Tokyo! How am I supposed to talk to you guys without smartphones?!"
Hinata slowly collapsed, "But you weren't even willing to tell us on our first day back—"
Sawada Tsunayoshi was practically laughing himself silly inside, but it was clear that he was getting amusement from tormenting Kosei.
"Xiao Zheng is going too far, umm hmph hmph hmph."
"Hey! You even laughed! Who's going too far here?!" Irie Shoichi pounced on Sawada Tsunayoshi, grabbed his shoulders and shook him from side to side.
"Little Hahaha, Little Zheng Haha, I can't take it anymore, Hahaha, Little Xiang, come quick, come save me."
Sawada Tsunayoshi couldn't hold back his laughter any longer, while Hyuga was still lost in his own play. He reached out his hand...
"Don't be afraid, Xiao Gang, I'm coming to save you."
"Don't pounce on me like that!" Irie Shoichi exclaimed in horror, watching Hyuga leap like a tiger. "At least put the volleyball down!"
"No, I'm going to represent volleyball and wipe you out!"
"Ouch—my head!"
"Xiao Xiang, you're pressing on my arm!"
"Ahhh, I can't stand up!"
The three of them rolled around in a heap. Sawada Tsunayoshi used his only remaining hand to protect the fruit drink on the table, struggled to crawl out from under the "corpses" of the other two, and collapsed to the side, motionless.
"Luckily you're still using soft racks, otherwise that would have been murder!" Irie Shoichi said, clutching his head in indignation.
"I'm sorry."
Hinata Shoyo chuckled beside him, clearly indicating that his apology was just a lip service and he would do it again next time.
Half a minute later, the three of them returned to their original state.
Irie was a little disgusted. "How come you two have become such drama queens after just one trip out?"
And he's a bit shameless.
Hinata's eyes lit up. "This all started with that game console—"
Far away in Tokyo, Matsukawa Saki sneezed violently. "Who's insulting me?"
For the next few days, Tsuna and the others did not go out, so they naturally did not have the opportunity to meet Hibari Kyoya. The umbrella remained untouched in Sawada Tsunayoshi's bedroom, even though its classical style clashed with the other decorations in the room.
Upon arriving at the Fukudani Club once again, Hyuga and Tsuna headed straight for the training hall without Suzuki needing to give them any instructions.
However, this time the coaches did not allow them to form teams freely, but instead assigned teams directly, and the basic training was much less than in the first half of the season.
This incident didn't affect Tsunayoshi much. Apart from the initial position swap where he found other teammates, he basically stayed with people he knew. Anyway, with Hyuga around, the atmosphere in the team never got cold.
"But the coaches have grouped their close friends together," Matsukawa Saki said in surprise after looking at the roster.
"Me, Tsuna, Sho, Kyoji, and Ike are all in a pair, oh, there's also Kojima Shiro, and the last one is someone I teamed up with before."
"Perhaps the coach values our teamwork?" Sawada Tsunayoshi speculated.
"Do we really have that kind of teamwork?" Kujo Ike also expressed his incomprehension.
"As long as Ike doesn't play setter, we have it," Hinata replied obediently.
No, your free agent isn't much better off either, Sawada Tsunayoshi thought to himself.
"And this time there should be specialized training for different positions. For example, the libero will be with my coach, the setter will go to Coach Kujo, the attackers will be with Coach Suzuki, and the opposite hitter will be with a different coach each day?"
It seems that Saki has gathered a lot of information during his time here.
At this point, Tsuna was still able to think about things in a carefree way. But once the training officially started, he felt like a little sponge who had never seen the world. Then one coach would say, "Today we're going to practice overhead spikes, squeezing a puddle of water out of you." The next day, another coach would call you to practice ball tossing, squeezing out a little more water. Just when you felt like you had been drained dry and had nothing left, all three coaches would come over and say, "Oh, it's okay, believe me, I can squeeze out a little more."
This sponge was thus completely destroyed.
Hinata squatted down next to Tsuna's "corpse" and poked his best friend's motionless head. "Tsuna looks like he's about to die."
"Shoyo, don't say such scary things." Akaashi Kyoji came over with a water glass.
Today, Sawada Tsunayoshi and Hyuga were practicing spiking together, while Akaashi was on the other side of the court. He probably came over to check if the two kids were paying attention in class.
Kujo Ike stretched and yawned, "Tsuna looks more like he's stuffed."
"That's true. Xiao Gang has been learning a lot lately. He seems to be overwhelmed with practice every night."
It's roughly like this: "Coach Suzuki said that when spiking, you should..." "This is how you should receive the ball..." "Ahhh, shouldn't the ball be passed that way..."
Hmm, the CPU looks like it's about to overload.
Hinata's strength had increased considerably after this period of training. He helped Tsuna up and they went together to Matsukawasaki's side to wait for the free agents' training to end.
Matsukawa Saki skipped over, while behind him, the female coach, Nakajima Ichisuke, was giving Matsukawa instructions on some moves he always forgot. Seeing Tsuna arrive, they seamlessly transitioned to each other's movements.
"Sawada, did you practice that move I told you about yesterday?"
Sawada Tsunayoshi nodded repeatedly, "I remember Coach Nakajima."
Actually, he was reviewing his serve last night because he was afraid that Coach Suzuki would check it today and he would be the only one who couldn't serve.
Once out of the coach's sight, Sawada Tsunayoshi tearfully asked Hinata, "Sho, can you still help me practice tonight?"
Hinata said confidently, "It's okay, volleyball is fun no matter how you play it, let's continue tonight."
It may appear that only one person is practicing receiving, but in reality, there are two people.
Are these their best friends? Kyoji Akaashi routinely records the volleyball-related creatures around him.
This project already contains multiple records.
For example, "Hyuga Shoyo is suspected to be a robot that doesn't get tired";
"Sawada Tsunayoshi is very stable, and his stamina bar will increase when used in conjunction with Hyuga."
“If necessary, we can pass the ball to Kujo Ike without giving him a chance to calm down.”
"Matsukawa's first pass might not be timely, so pay attention to the timing of your passes"...
As the content grew, Kyoji Akaashi rarely needed to review, because each time they competed together, these knowledge points would appear in a very specific form on the field, reinforcing his stereotypes.
A note from the author:
----------------------
It's good that 18 won't be playing for a long time.
Bad news, my backlog of drafts isn't very healthy, but I have exams coming up, which is awful. There's a high probability of a bigger update every two days, and I'll be able to update daily after the exams (a very nice wish).
