Chapter 176 Comatose Human

After Yao finished speaking, the other two followed Ahui into the cave. In just a few minutes, the three of them carried the black-haired man out on their backs, and wrapped him in several coats to prevent any unspeakable scenes from happening.

Then, the group was enveloped in a light barrier, and after a few leaps, they disappeared into the dense forest. Of course, they didn't leave the carcass of the tusked boar behind, since the main purpose of their trip was to find food.

As the sun set in the west, its afterglow spread across the fields. After an unknown amount of time, a beam of light shot down from the horizon, its power and majesty overwhelming.

As the light faded, a person was revealed to be draped in a yellow robe, which enveloped him from head to toe.

The face was obscured, but a striking red graphic, resembling characters, stood out in front of him, and a pair of wings of light flickered behind him, indicating that he was flying through the air.

It then circled around the cave several times before plunging into it.

A moment later, it flew out, muttering to itself, "Where did it go? Could I have sensed something wrong?"

After a moment of contemplation, the wings of light fluttered slightly, and it quickly disappeared into the horizon, leaving only a sliver of the setting sun behind it.

Far west, the Giant Tree Forest.

After two days and two nights of non-stop travel, Ahui and his group finally emerged from the Giant Tree Forest.

Looking back, the boundless forest behind me exudes a quiet yet oppressive atmosphere.

A gentle breeze rustled through the lush foliage, like an ancient whisperer, softly telling a story.

If Ahui had the chance to choose again, he certainly wouldn't venture deep into the Giant Tree Forest just to get a little more food.

After all, life is at stake. To risk one's life for food is putting the cart before the horse and is not worth the loss.

A loud "bang" interrupted Ahui's thoughts.

Looking back, they saw Yao Ge throwing the headless carcass of the tusked wild boar heavily to the ground, raising a cloud of dust, while the other two carefully laid the unconscious human on the ground.

"We've finally escaped that awful place. Let's rest here for a while before continuing our journey. It's only half a day's walk from here to the village."

After saying that, Yao looked around, plopped down on the ground, and began to breathe heavily.

It seems that even with Yao Ge's profound cultivation, carrying over 200 pounds of weight and traveling overnight is too much for his body.

Ahui said with a smile:

"This trip has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The carcass of this tusked wild boar will be enough to feed the village for a while, and with the fruit we picked earlier, we won't have to worry about food for a short time."

"It was thanks to Brother Yao's company this time, otherwise, with these two hundred-plus-pound corpses and the unconscious human, the few of us would probably have perished in this giant tree forest."

"Fortune favors the bold. If we hadn't traveled day and night, we wouldn't have been able to leave the Giant Tree Forest in just two days. We were pretty lucky!"

The crowd erupted in a lively discussion, as if they had just survived a disaster. The chatter helped to alleviate the fatigue of the journey and revitalized everyone.

As the people around him gradually relaxed, the middle-aged man known as Brother Yao fell into deep thought.

Looking at the headless corpse weighing over 200 pounds in front of him, and then at the unconscious stranger not far away, he felt that something was not quite right.

The Giant Tree Forest is boundless and limitless, a place where monsters lurk and where one has a slim chance of survival. How could it allow a few people to come and go as they please?

Deep in the forest, how could a human being, so weak and insignificant, be found unharmed after falling into such a coma?

A nearly fully grown tusked wild boar, apart from a pool of blood, showed no other signs of a fierce fight. How could its head have been so easily taken?

What Yao found most unbelievable was that after traveling day and night through the Giant Tree Forest, he didn't encounter a single monster or other creature along the way, as if something had cleared it out beforehand.

The shift from tentative nighttime adventures to a round-the-clock journey demonstrates Yao Ge's experience and adaptability.

Otherwise, one should travel during the day, using the sunlight to improve one's cultivation, so as not to become too weak to continue.

They lay in hiding at night, slowly recovering their strength and resting briefly, waiting for sunrise before continuing their journey.

This process is repeated, and even without getting lost, it would take five days to get out of the forest. It took nearly ten days to get here on the way here.

There was time spent picking fruits and vegetables and avoiding monsters, but the time difference between coming and going was huge, which Yao Ge found incredible.

Of course, even if Yao Ge racked his brains, he would never have imagined that a mysterious monster and an old man in purple robes were chasing each other in front of them, which unexpectedly opened up a shortcut for them to return to the village.

"If you keep walking along this river for another hour or so, you'll reach the village!"

Yao pointed to a calm river in front of him and said with a sigh of relief.

No one suspected anything. They must all know the way well. Every time they returned from a trip and found this river, they felt a sense of familiarity, like a traveler returning to his mother's embrace, warm and reassuring.

After another hour or so of travel, as they got closer to their destination, the journey became easier for everyone, proving the saying that they were eager to get home.

As the booming sound grew louder from afar, the once calm river suddenly became turbulent and violent, as if it had been silent for too long. With a silent force, it plunged heavily from the cliff, forming a magnificent waterfall with awe-inspiring power.

The group had no interest in appreciating the magnificent scenery before them. They slowly descended along the cliffs on both sides of the waterfall, and halfway down the mountain, they found themselves on a path hidden in the weeds that led them behind the waterfall.

Behind the waterfall lies a hidden world. The first thing that catches the eye is a clean and tidy path that extends into the depths beyond the reach of sight.
