Li Sisui forced a smile, sizing up the young man before him. He seemed vaguely familiar, likely a fellow disciple. He was truly embarrassed that even a thirteenth-generation disciple of the sect was stronger than him, but he couldn't recall the young man's name. He simply gave an awkward laugh and said:
"We are truly destined to meet, to have met in such a desolate and secluded place."
The young man smiled slightly, but his gaze involuntarily drifted towards what was behind Li Sisui. Although Li Sisui was puzzled, he made no attempt to hide it. After all, they were fellow disciples, so there was no need for him to be wary. He stepped aside and introduced them:
"This person escorted me all the way back, and is now seriously injured and unconscious. We need to find a place to treat his injuries as soon as possible."
The young man nodded, looked around, and said:
"This place is deserted. I was returning from a training expedition, and I've almost used up all my pills. It would be best to hurry back to the sect. I wonder if this fellow Daoist's injuries are severe enough to allow me to make it back?"
"That's about right, let's set off immediately."
Li Sisui didn't think much of it. After all, he had just landed and encountered scavengers. This place was obviously not a good place to stay. The appearance of the mountain-descending formation must have been seen by more than one person. It was better to leave as soon as possible. Thinking about it this way, it was safest to return to the sect as soon as possible. Not only would it be safe, but there would also be no worries. He could then focus on treating Leng Rushuang.
Seeing this, the young man raised his hand and summoned a cyan flying sword, which instantly grew to over ten feet in size. He then glanced meaningfully at Leng Rushuang and said:
"Grandmaster Uncle, please rest well. Let me take care of this fellow Daoist on the way."
As he spoke, the young man strode towards Leng Rushuang, making a move to hug her. Li Sisui initially didn't think much of it, but then suddenly realized that the young man was, after all, a stranger to Leng Rushuang, while she herself had met him a few times. The young man's actions seemed rather abrupt and inappropriate, so she simply reached out and stopped him, saying:
"No need for now. You should focus on controlling the flying sword. Let's return to the sect as soon as possible. She can be left to me."
As he spoke, Di Ertian embraced Leng Rushuang, stepped onto the flying sword, and sat cross-legged with his back straight. In his arms was the unconscious Leng Rushuang. Seeing Li Sisui's serious expression, which showed some composure, the young man did not force him. He lightly jumped onto the flying sword, which then climbed up and disappeared into the clouds again, its speed increasing and the wind rushing past his ears.
Li Sisui sat upright, the faint fragrance occasionally wafting into his nostrils, making him somewhat absent-minded. The addition of the soft warmth in his arms made him even more uneasy, unsure of what to do with his hands. Under such high tension, he no longer cared about his fear of heights!
On one hand, he hoped to reach the sect as soon as possible, but on the other hand, he couldn't help but want to keep flying like this forever. What a lowly simp!
Li Sisui was extremely conflicted throughout the journey and didn't have time to speak, but the young man was very talkative and chatted with Li Sisui endlessly.
"A few days ago, the sect was filled with the news that our grandmaster had failed to break through and jumped off a cliff. The entire sect was deeply saddened. Who would have thought that we would meet here today? Fate is truly wonderful!"
"I knew it! How could my grandmaster uncle possibly jump off a cliff? Cultivation is a small matter compared to life. How could my grandmaster uncle leave without saying goodbye? Now it seems that it is indeed true!"
"When the sect leader heard that our grandmaster had jumped off the cliff, he was deeply saddened. He ordered the others to seal off the mountain range where our grandmaster lived, and not to let anyone touch it again, so that it could be kept as a memorial for the sect. If the sect leader knew that you had returned, he would be overjoyed!"
Li Sisui subconsciously echoed, even feeling a little touched. Although he wasn't him, it was always good to be cared for.
Fortunately, the young man didn't talk for too long. About fifteen minutes later, the cyan flying sword began to descend slowly. Li Si looked up and saw that it was not the Luoyun Sect he remembered, but a mountain valley.
After the flying sword landed, the young man retrieved it, then looked at Li Sisui with a hint of mockery in his eyes. Li Sisui looked around with some confusion and said:
"Why did we stop here? Weren't we supposed to get back to the sect as soon as possible?"
“Grandmaster Uncle, it’s only a few dozen kilometers from here to the sect. I’ve been traveling all day and my cultivation is almost exhausted. It’s not too late to rest and recuperate here for a while before continuing.”
"oh."
Li Sisui thought it made sense, so he didn't say anything more. He carefully put Leng Rushuang down and covered her with his Taoist robe, subconsciously worried that she would catch a cold. But then he thought, why would a cultivator be afraid of catching a cold?
A leopard can't change its spots!
Li Sisui wanted to slap himself. He had promised himself he wouldn't be a simp anymore, so why couldn't he remember?
The young man behind him darted past Li Sisui, his eyes scanning Leng Rushuang, who was leaning against the rock wall. Although she was wrapped in a Taoist robe and covered by a red veil, her shapely figure still made the young man feel a surge of heat. He spoke:
"Grandmaster Uncle, my cultivation has recovered somewhat. If you're really in a hurry, why don't you let me heal you here first?"
"No, now that we've recovered some of our cultivation, let's hurry on our way. We can heal our injuries once we get back to the sect!"
Although Li Sisui didn't know what the young man was up to, seeing his blatant gaze, he knew perfectly well what the young man was thinking, since they were both men.
"Oh ho, you really think you're some kind of grandmaster uncle? Don't you know your own limitations?"
Seeing that Li Sisui stopped him without hesitation, the young man decided to drop the pretense and lay his cards on the table:
"Old man, what are you pretending for? Do you really think I'm stupid? If I hadn't also discovered the mountain-descending formation, you old codger would have really succeeded this time!"
You changed your attitude way too fast! One second you were calling me "Grandmaster Uncle" nonstop, and the next second you're calling me "old man".
Is this a case of being obsessed with sex or something?
Looking at the unrestrained and reckless young man in front of him, Li Sisui was completely dumbfounded. He even couldn't help but start searching his memory to see if he had offended him somewhere before.
