Chapter Thirty-Five: A Vengeful Visit (Part Two)

Seeing this, the disciples of Bu Er Academy could not say anything more and could only bow and take their leave. After a short while, the originally large crowd disappeared, leaving only Bai Shu alone, staring at Li Sisui not far away with bloodshot eyes. At this moment, the latter was also looking at him with a blank expression, not knowing what had happened!

"You villain, prepare to die!"

"Who...who are you? You must have mistaken me for someone else!"

"Villain, I am merciful and will let you die knowing why. I am Bai Shu, Elder of the Bu Er Academy. The person you killed yesterday was my nephew, who was as close as my own flesh and blood. Villain, prepare to die!"

As an elder of the Bu Er Academy, Bai Shu's cultivation level is a step higher than Bai Guo's. He has already broken through the Divine Illumination stage and reached the first level of the Transformation stage. In the Wulipo area, cultivators at the Transformation stage are rare. Most of them are concentrated in major sects and are basically domineering.

As he spoke, a huge halo rose behind Bai Shu. With each incantation, the halo grew larger, transforming into a massive circle over three zhang in diameter, radiating a blinding white light. Bai Shu then waved his hand and roared fiercely at the bewildered Li Sisui:

"You villain, die! We're going all in!"

As soon as the words were spoken, the enormous halo suddenly accelerated, streaking through the air like a massive white light, and hurtled straight towards Li Sisui. Upon seeing this, the latter, without hesitation, silently recited:

"I have three swords, the slowest of which is..."

A white mark appeared between Li Sisui's brows, and golden light surged in his eyes. Facing the huge halo coming towards him, his aura was not weak at all. With the appearance of the transparent short sword, the strange domain instantly enveloped Li Sisui completely. However, he was still brooding over Bai Guo's death. Although he summoned the short sword again, he did not intend to kill again!

After a day of research, although he was still confused, he at least understood how to control the transparent short sword: through his thoughts and consciousness. This would at least prevent him from accidentally killing someone again. Moreover, as his understanding deepened, he also discovered some other strange things.

What surprised him the most was that each time he used the transparent short sword, it did not consume much of his cultivation. On the contrary, it consumed a lot of his spiritual sense. For example, if Bai Guo had blocked Bai Guo's attack yesterday, he would not have been able to unleash it a second time with his current spiritual sense!

After killing Bai Guo, he felt dizzy and lightheaded. If it weren't for Jue Mingzi's counterattack, which forced him to gather his inner energy, he probably would have fainted on the spot. Now, facing Bai Shu, who is even more powerful than Bai Guo, he is willing but unable to kill him. Fortunately, according to his rough calculations, if he doesn't take the initiative to attack and only maintains the unique domain of his short sword, he can barely sustain it for a while with his current level of spiritual awareness.

The enormous halo moved with incredible speed, arriving before Li Sisui in just a few breaths. Then, to Bai Shu's astonishment, it plunged headlong into the short sword's peculiar domain. Then, a miraculous scene unfolded again: the enormous halo, which had been moving like lightning, seemed to be stuck in quagmire, moving forward at a snail's pace. Bai Shu's scalp tingled, and he couldn't help but exclaim in surprise:

"Realm? Impossible!"

Li Sisui, who was in the strange realm, watched the huge halo slowly swimming towards him. He slightly turned his body and calmly dodged it. After the huge halo brushed past Li Sisui, it took several more seconds to barely pass through the strange realm and appear behind Li Sisui. Then, at a speed that was barely visible to the naked eye, it crashed into the big tree on the cliff!

Boom!

The tree instantly turned to dust, but the enormous halo continued its momentum forward until it crashed into the opposite cliff, blasting a bottomless crater halfway up the mountain. Only then did the white light dim, and with a hum, as if summoned by something, it flew back behind Bai Shu and disappeared!

Li Sisui turned his head and glanced at it, shrinking back in shock. He hadn't expected the halo to be so powerful. If it weren't for the short sword's unique domain, he wouldn't have been able to react at all, and he would probably have turned to ashes like that tree. The strength of cultivators was indeed not to be underestimated.

Seeing that Li Sisui was not only unharmed from his all-out attack, but also easily neutralized it, Bai Shu was finally able to calm down the peculiar fluctuations surrounding Li Sisui. The naive young man in front of him did not seem to be as harmless as he appeared on the surface!

Bai Shu's face was filled with surprise and uncertainty as he looked Li Sisui up and down, who seemed completely innocent. Seeing this, Li Sisui said with a hint of helplessness:

"Elder Bai, I have no intention of fighting again. I hope we can stop here. I am very sorry about what happened to Steward Bai, but since things have come to this, I will not explain anything further."

After hearing about the relationship between the two, Li Sisui felt much more at ease about Bai Shu's actions. The path of cultivation is long and arduous, and time is merciless. It is rare to have blood relatives by one's side for a long time. It is only natural for Bai Shu to come to seek revenge.

Bai Shu sensed a trace of sincerity and apology in Li Sisui's helpless tone, but this was not enough to dissuade him. After all, his junior nephew had died, so how could he be dismissed with a few innocuous words? However, when he gathered his energy and prepared to fight again, he discovered that the waves coming from the cave not far away were something that even he found unfathomable!

He was actually a master at the Transformation stage. Judging by the fluctuations in his cultivation, he was probably far above him!

As a cultivator at the first level of the Transformation stage, Bai Shu could no longer find any spiritual energy from Wulipo to continue his cultivation. If it weren't for protecting Bai Guo, Bai Shu would probably have already climbed the mountain and gone!

Bai Shu's face was gloomy. He pondered for a long time. There was no chance of winning if he stayed any longer. If the expert in the cave came out, he would probably be the one to run away. He understood the principle that a wise man submits to circumstances. As long as he survived, he would be able to fight another day. Bai Shu snorted coldly with a sense of helplessness and left angrily without saying a word. Li Sisui behind him couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief when he saw this.

Seeing that Bai Shu had failed to subdue Li Sisui, Jue Mingzi, who was further away, was greatly shocked and filled with disbelief. After a long while, with a look of resentment, he staggered towards the main hall and said to the Longevity Daoist:

"Reporting to Master, everyone from the Incomparable Academy has left!"

"Oh, my grandmaster uncle spent his whole life cultivating and was deeply protected by Grandmaster Lingyun, but I never expected him to end up like this, alas..."

"Master, even with Elder Bai's intervention, he was unable to subdue Grandmaster Uncle. In the end, Elder Bai left on his own."

"ah?"

"Our grandmaster was completely unharmed from beginning to end..."

Although Jue Mingzi was unwilling, he had no choice but to report the truth. The Immortal Daoist's mouth gaped open, and after a long while, he still seemed disbelieving. He simply closed his eyes and summoned his divine sense. A moment later, he opened his eyes in shock and murmured:

"What...what should we do?"
