The most urgent task is to leave this place of trouble as soon as possible to avoid further complications.
The man in white waved his arm, and a ribbon of light, like a rosy cloud, flew out from his slender palm, engulfing the unconscious Li Sisui. Li Sisui's long hair, reaching his feet, hung down on its own, looking rather cumbersome.
The man in white didn't even look, and with a wave of his hand, his long hair was severed at the root and scattered all over the ground.
Then, Li Sisui was lifted up and lightly leaped into the air, speeding away into the distance.
Not long after they flew, they saw groups of three or five people rushing towards the direction they had come from. The man in white thought for a moment and understood that they were probably his people who had come after seeing the distress signal.
After slowing down and gradually descending into the air, the group of people who had been rushing along saw the man in white and hurriedly bowed and greeted him.
"Greetings, Your Majesty! We have received a distress signal from our people and are on our way to their aid."
Before he could finish speaking, the man in white said coldly:
"Return to base immediately!"
The group exchanged glances, unsuspecting, and turned back the way they came.
The man in white followed behind the crowd, his brows furrowed, seemingly deep in thought.
The mountains and forests have returned to their former tranquility.
Many years later, however, no plants grew again in the place where the Six-Tailed Man had melted.
A patch of wasteland suddenly appeared in the dense forest, barren of everything, as if it had been marked.
Years later, the man in white recalled this day, the scene of his first meeting with Li Sishi.
Who would have thought that this ordinary young man would later change the fate of countless people?
This includes myself, and even the subsequent landscape of the desolate land has undergone earth-shattering changes because of this almost perfect arc.
And all of this, when traced back to its source, was nothing more than an ordinary first encounter.
The group remained silent the entire way, heads down, hurrying on their way.
In the mountains and forests, the vegetation is lush, and as far as the eye can see, the emerald green that stretches to the horizon fills the view, making one feel refreshed and invigorated.
The slightly damp air, mixed with an unknown scent, freely entered my nostrils, making me feel as if I were in a giant forest, and I couldn't help but want to let go and embrace nature.
However, the people who were on their way had no time to appreciate the beautiful scenery around them, and anyone could see the serious expression on His Excellency's face.
Today's distress signal clearly indicates that something unusual has happened.
Looking at the unconscious clansmen behind the Venerable One, one couldn't help but feel fortunate for him.
Being rescued by a legendary figure who is rarely seen is a stroke of good fortune amidst misfortune.
An hour later, the group stopped at the foot of a mountain, and their tense nerves began to relax slightly.
I figured the stronghold shouldn't be too far away, and I was thinking of taking a short rest, but then the Venerable One behind me walked straight up the mountain path.
Regardless of whether the people behind him were walking or stopping, seeing that the Venerable One had no intention of stopping, they had no choice but to cheer up and continue on their way.
The Tu ethnic group's stronghold is located on the top of this mountain, with winding paths hidden among the lush vegetation.
The group gradually disappeared into the lush forest.
The mountain path was rugged and overgrown with vegetation, and the footprints were quickly buried.
If you weren't familiar with the area, it would be hard to discover that a Tu ethnic settlement is hidden on this remote mountaintop.
The group followed the Venerable One, and in less than half an hour, they arrived at a relatively flat area.
Several simple wooden houses were built halfway up a large tree, connected by branches, like a castle in the air.
The wooden cabin in the sky embraces a unique tree, clearly a different species from the surrounding trees.
The tree was dotted with a few bright green fruits, which looked so delicious that they made one's mouth water.
Everyone finally relaxed, including the Venerable One, who unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.
Recalling that final, fatal blow, without the protective pendant, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Looking back now, it's terrifying to think about. When I look back at the unconscious man lying on the ground, I can't help but feel a pang of guilt and gratitude.
If this person hadn't been struck by the evil eyeball and suffered another similar attack, I'm afraid I still wouldn't have been able to fight back, and I wouldn't have had a second protective pendant. I originally went to save someone, but unexpectedly, I was the one who was saved in the end. Although it was a coincidence, the facts before my eyes were indeed as they were.
Thinking this way, my guilt intensified.
The Venerable One approached Li Sisui, bent down, and his palm shimmered with light as he examined Li Sisui's physical condition further.
But they found that Li Sisui's breathing gradually became rapid and hot, and his breath seemed to spew out two flames.
Zun instinctively withdrew his hand, but upon closer inspection, he noticed that the black birthmark on Li Sisui's face seemed to have come to life and was even showing signs of expanding.
Originally, it only covered half of the left cheek, but now it seems to be covering the entire face in black.
Recalling the eerie nature of the malevolent eyeball, I fear that if we delay any longer, this person's life will be in danger.
Thinking of this, His Excellency stood up decisively before anyone could react.
The Venerable One waved his hand, creating a light barrier that swept up the unconscious Li Sisui. He then flew out of the wooden house, leaving a sentence floating down from the air behind him:
"This person is in danger!"
In the blink of an eye, the man in white and Li Si disappeared from everyone's sight.
As the man in white left, the previously oppressive atmosphere finally eased.
After all, no one could easily cope with the stern Venerable One's presence. Only after the Venerable One's sudden departure did everyone begin to chat amongst themselves.
"I wonder who this person is, that he was escorted back to the sect by His Excellency is really lucky!"
